    The 19khz machines are good on civil war relics ( brass and lead). A nickle is good test for those conductors.

    *Hello John. With the air test, you’ve got to remember as the tone fades to a faint whisper, you are using the external speaker. With headphones, that faint whisper would now be just above the whisper, thus making it a target worth digging. I had a Quick Draw Pro model that I bought at a pawn shop for a friend. After giving it a good test run, I hated to part with it. I have other higher end detectors, but this one was so light with fast target response time, decent depth and only one 9volt battery needed. It was great for its price. Great review as always. H.H. _/*

    I’m looking for a detector that works well in pea gravel. I own six different Bounty hunter detectors and a simplex.the land ranger pro works ok in the all metal mode,but I don’t want to hear all that noise.What do you think about the time ranger pro?

    • @thehuntergt

      Anywhere in the 7-15 range seems to do pretty decent as an all-rounder. This one being 19khz does suffer a bit on high conductors.

    Unreal. Glad I didn't buy the gold bug 3 days ago, even though the price was lowered to $354. Your thoughts, John? And ground balances to salt means wet salt beach compatible?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Před 4 lety +1

      IMO...it is a bit better than the Gold Bug Pro with the added notch - vbreak - backlight...etc. I have hit coins with it at 7-8 inches in wet-salt-sand. It will chatter here and there being single freq....but these 19khz machines from FTP handle minerals and EMI very well. I'll be using this one in upcoming videos for sure.

    • @johnnybush8764
      @johnnybush8764 Před 4 lety

      @@thehuntergt I don't mind the chatter. I already own a t2. I think it will do well on wet sand.
      I want a 19 khz for small gold and salt beach. If it chatters a bit, I can deal with it.
      Since, in your opinion, it's better than a gold bug pro, all the better. I think Bounty Hunter has a winner.
      I know I can count on your detector tested facts. Thanks, John.
      I also noticed through Hoover Boys Channel there's a multi frequency Garrett Apex on the market.
