Tony finds out Jimmy is a Rat 🐀 | Part 1 | The Sopranos
Season 1 Episode 11 Nobody Knows Anything
The Sopranos is an American crime drama television series created by David Chase. The series revolves around Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), a New Jersey-based Italian-American mobster who struggles to balance his family life with his role as the leader of a criminal organization, which he reluctantly explores during therapy sessions with psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine Bracco). The series also features Tony's various family members, Mafia colleagues, and rivals in prominent roles-most notably his wife Carmela (Edie Falco) and his protégé and distant cousin Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli).

Theres a cappachino and a latte on route in a fed ex van still hot 👌
Nah, nobody is doing that for you, lol. Your edits are trash.
"hello fellow mobster, any illegal activities happening that you are involved in?"
Right 😂😂😂
Sounds like Homer Simpson when they made him where a wire. 😅
😂
Beat me to it 😂
Are those police really that dumb?
"Hey Tone, remember when we did a bunch of illegal sh*t haha. What was your favorite of the illegal things we ever done?"
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Puss did the same thing, lol. "Hey, remember when we shot that guy? Yeah how about that, huh? You and me sure killed him."
"Glad you asked! My favorite illegal thing we did was that illegal thing we did on this specific date and time. In fact, here are the first, middle, and last names of everyone involved, what exactly they did, and their dates of birth and Social Security Numbers! I also happen to have a court reporter right here taking down everything we say just for the heck of it! Man, those were some good illegal times, eh?"
@@j.menapace625 Reminds me of Joel Haver style of comedy
Ong😂😂😂😂
He may as well have put “I’m an informant wearing a wire” sign on his forehead.
It wasnt him it was puss the one that was a snitch you need to watch the show
Nahhh not for certain
True
"Thats the thing tho, i know him, hes a friend of ours"...why would he out himself like that, an informant wouldnt tell him the bills are marked, the police would keep that secret so the marked bills can be of some use, no?
movie name
"working on what?" Guy sealed his fate with those three words.
For real.
why, what were you gonna say?
@andrewroberts7428 if you're in the mafia you speak covertly as often as possible. That was obvious fishing on his part
@@mappingshaman5280 i know...
@@mappingshaman5280 He was doing the line
"Working on what, Tony? And speak nice and loud and clear, my hearing ain't too good no more."
AHHAHAHA!!!!
😂
Lol. More like The Simpsons than The Sopranos.
😂😂
Those jail house doors are real loud, it messed with my hearing everytime they closed
Gets out of custody and goes right to the bosses home….
Brilliant move.
That part is smart in a way because then the boss doesn't have to worry about who you might have talked to in the space between the visit. Jimmy was just incredibly stupid for asking questions so quickly after being released.
I mean, remember what happened with Pussy?
I’m sure in real life they had some sort of protocol if a valuable guy got pinched and it was either the slammer or being an informant for him. While tony, johnny etc are portrayed as being intelligent in the show they’re still shown as being goons. I’m sure that real life crime leaders are hardly goons in that same way.
"brilliant plan ese"
"Better lay low with that safe house money."
That was straight out of an SNL skit of somebody wearing a wire: "better hide the money you took for the hit you did on Jimmy Bones on September 3."
Forgot about that film. It's worse than a jinx to wish for an updated remake, cool premise and a few particularly good moments ("I got a natural high... Like, a SUPERNATURAL high." You know the scene) but yeah...
Tony was just as obvious....he didn't hide his suspicions at all. If Jimmy had any brain cells he would have skipped town immediately after that exchange with Tony
Snl sucks! Madtv’s preview of Sopranos on pax is where it’s at!
@UuU1001. To bad mad tv is gone and only only is still around
@@UuU1001.Blasphemy as hell SNL is way better than MAD, but I like them both
“You look good” is something that man should never hear.
He had to switch the subject cause jimmy was fishin
Who hurt buddy? Lol
Massarone
@JFonzi same time it was a tactic on Tony's part. The questions at the end are his reaction to Jimmy's confirmation:
"Thanks I wasn't gone that long."
Translates "I caved in and I'm an informant now."
"Yeah. Yeah. I know." translates "of course I know. You weren't gone that long. You're a lucky man"
Like the kiss of death 😮
“Yes fellow drug dealer, I’ll buy two marijuanas”
😂
hahahahahahahaaha
Posts bail then immediately comes back around wanting to discuss "details"....
nowadays self snitching and social media get convictions
@@TopOfTheLinenTN Yep back then people wasn't addicted to clout wasn't a thing like that. gangsters was really gangsters and being as dumb as these kids are nowadays would get you wacked back then boss would see it as too loud, he liked you might get your teeth kicked in for a warning if not dumped in a dumpster somewhere
He had no choice.
@@rockabye_baby187 To rat? he did lol ratting is a choice, as for him coming back he should have known they would put 2-2 together so coming back is the worst thing he could have done would have been better off going on the lam, hiding out odds are he was an informant at this point and agreed to gather information on the inside for feds
But he was too dumb to realise the details of his release already make it clear he's a rat, clearly didn't think on his feet or at all lool
@@rockabye_baby187 he had a choice he chose to rat
🤣Jimmy gets pinched with a gun while on bail then goes straight to the Bosses home afterwards and starts asking questions? Jimmy sure had the markings of a Varsity Mob Captain.
Hey, he passed Tony's "Feeling For A Wire" test!
VARSITY!!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA
They prolly forced him top
🥴🥴😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There's no way the feds are that stupid in real life
Jimmy should have skipped town the second he got out of that basement.. I don't know how much clearer Tony could have made the accusation
Facts. You know what I’m not hungry anymore lol
These guys aren't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed
Yep...I know it's tv show.....but yea....should've known his goose was cooked. He should've got his money and find a safe place.

✌🏻ALWAYS rat on your friends”
I gotta get the papers,... the papers.
Jimmy is wider than that water heater.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s a Roy demeo thought,-hmm to big to stuff a water heater, even cut up😂
This scene was a master class in how *skilled* organized criminals avoid incriminating themselves in surveilled conversations. Like Big Pussy’s FBI agent handler Skip Lipari said on the next season, “The guy [i.e. Tony Soprano] says less than Harpo Marx.”
More of a display of how obvious a dumbass informant can be
😂😂😂
Plot twist...Jimmy wasn't an informant he was just that really stupid when it came to conversing with others
Nah his body language gave it away he was nervous when he shouldn't have been stupid person just stupid lol and he asked too many wrong questions a stupid person would have just asked if boss thought he was a rat lool not try and be sneaky about it like they really had something to hide
He and Big Pu$$y were both snitching
He just like me fr fr
@@Local-Vibes4444 yeah but the only reason tony suspected him is because he heard there was a rat, it ended up being Big Pussy.
There is a chance of that it never confirmed he was that I kno of
He should’ve known by Tony’s smile. When have you ever really seen Tony smile and talk casually like that besides when he’s being deceitful or in a coma dream? Him and Walter white both have the same tell. If they seem joyful, they’re lying.
That's why skyer told him she sleep with ted when he was happy and cooking up their dinner he thought he was scott free by forcing his way back into the family home and she could tell by smug smile he felt he was in control of everything again its the only time he's smiling that much lool
This rat was stupid boss literally spelt it out to him said you got out of a charge when you was on bail for another one right in time for dinner your a lucky guy, he literally told him he was a rat after smiling a million times and he still didn't pick any of it up, some people just too dumb to survive that kind of life
That life brings no joy so it's always fake
Lol that smile is hilarious looking
Gotta love that Tony’s 5000 sq ft mansion has such a small and crappy basement
McMansions in a nutshell. It looks expensive, but has the most generic architecture.
The 90's didn't believe in finished basements.

That would have been a great double reversal, though.
I haven't seen the show but I can only assume that character didn't make it too much longer 😂

Great scene on the knowledgeable Rat!
😂 right
"Missed your calling. Should've been a lawyer. " 😂😂😂😂 How could he not know he was a dead man with all the innuendos Tony was dropping
Desperation. The FBI would force him to carry on until he got something incriminating on Tony. Deep down inside he must have known his time was up.
Idk why Jimmy wouldn’t be way more paranoid after Tony said that to him lol
Because he's not a rat ?
@@michigan2400 he was though?
Because Jimmy and his wise guy self inflated ego thought it made him believe he was the smartest in room. 😂

Thank you so much, Brother. I appreciate it.
Yeah you can notice Tony didnt say a damn thing...
Ya
“I don’t believe it, how u get out” 🤔
Anyone with a brain should have known that was an accusation not a question but dumb delusional ego inflated jimmy missing ques as usual lol boss even spelt it out for him once he realised he was too dumb to get the subtle ques
you get out in time for dinner after catching a charge whilst on bail lool, I don't think he could have said it any more plain than that without just calling him a rat but he knew rat probably wired to the teeth

Tony’s water heater isn’t code compliant his relief valve outlet doesn’t have pipe attached. He should call ABC ,heating cooling plumbing they would correct it for $1500
Lol 😆 🤣
Just laughed out loud 🤣 😂
Got me.
Relief valve just below jimmies arm? Appears to be lacking extension pipe to floor code?

The dialogue 👌🏾
Tony was letting him know he KNOWS without letting him know. He let him know in the end….🐀
The last part of the dialogue ... tony be like :da ya think im stupid .
I think Tony was putting on the whole time.. making Jimmy feel comfortable..”Carm look who’s here” 😂😂
“Workin on what?” Lmao
“I wasn’t gone that long”
“Yeah, I know”
Man, that is such a subtle bit of passive aggressiveness.
The Whole Jersey Crew weren't too bright
Pigmy glorified crew.
New York didn't fair much better.
Pigmy crew that makes anyone.
@@michaeljohnson5237I know right. They practically handed Jersey the W.
The series is partly inspired by the Richard Boiardo family, a prominent New Jersey organized crime family when Chase was growing up, and
Jimmy couldn’t of made it any easier for Tony, just switching up his whole way of talking 🤦🏾♂️
“I wasn’t gone that long”
Tony: “Yea I know”
😂😂😂
Tony was a real one! Always a step ahead, always completely aware!
Jimmy looks like Tatoo's long lost brother 😂
Real ones get that reference 😊!
Plot twist, jimmy wasnt the rat, he just picked the wromg words, and had a reaaaaaally bad luck
This is actually the truth.
really? lol i seen other comments here say the same, i assume he got whacked
@@blackwaltz3135 I assume that you meant that he ratted. For several years I used to think the same. But, I rewatched this show enough times to figure out that Jimmy is just a very unlucky moron.
How do you do, fellow outlaw?
It was so damn obvious.
It was never proven that he was an informant.
You don't get that easily unless you do. Even Now days
Does it have to ? Its damn obvious. Junior acknowledged that.

Tony, really beautiful man. RIP, JAMES, YOU ARE MISSED 😢🎉❤
Jimmy was in fact, not a lucky guy.
😂😂
He was so obvious 🐀
Tony's smile is way more chilling then when he just gets mad!
That was the kiss of death. He was screwed before he even said anything🤣
Ain't no way I'm greeting someone so friendly who just got out on a gun charge like nothing happened 😂
The verbiage was perfect. Tony knew exactly what this guy was doing and he’s trying to punk him, but he was like OK keep talking.
He didn’t have time to put something decent on
At the end, Jimmy knew, Tony knew.
“You look good” perfect response. Lmao
He might as well have came over with a Chuck e cheese costume on lol
"yeah.. yeah i know😀" is just superb
Jimmy wired 😂
Jimmy knew.. Ohh boy hear we go
It's hilarious, he might as well said hey Tony by the way talk closer I'm wearing a wire😂😂
Why didn’t Tony just check to see if he was wearing a wire
He might’ve done that at the beginning when they hugged at the door. Tony usually does the subtle pat down. Given how fast Jimmy gets out, no doubt he would’ve been suspicious from the jump. Might’ve been on the fence, but his behavior in the basement sealed his deal and it was only downhill from there for our friend who likes big tits and little feet.
That's on the feds 😂 picking Jimmy as an informant lmao
"Thanks I wasn't gone that Long" Jimmy might as well have lifted up his Shirt 🎽 Pranced around the Basement floor like a Ballerina with that Statement, Gave himself away was a Dead man ☠️💀 at that Point.
In reality Tony Soprano woulda never mentioned that "he looks good" and that he's "a lucky man" because any wise guy woulda understood what that means.
Jimmy wasn’t the brightest bulb in the organization.
Tony is legit terrifying!
Best show ever made.
Bro you never get out and go right to the Bosses house 🤦🏾♂️
crazy part is how he made it obvious to tony that he was a rat and tony made it obvious that he knew he was a rat 😂
Tony smelled it! His Paco roban!!!😂😂😂❤❤
The best show ever. RIP Mr. Gandolfini
For those who are still woundering if the guy was innocent or not,you can actually see the wire strapped around his bidy under the clothes in this scene, just have to look closely.... pretty dope detail and no need to thank me
We weren't going to thank you anyway. 🤪
Thank you!
That's some detective Victor D Lombard shit.
Why he didnt run for the hills after the "lucky guy" comment, Ill never know.
Because he wasn't actually an informant.
Tony knew Jimmy was a rat the moment he leaned on his new water heater. 😂🤣
A mob boss telling you that you look "good" while knowing that you just got out of the pen and are now fishing him and seeking information really means that it's not looking good for you. At all. Because you're lookin "good".
Tony was really happy to see him at first
“You got a problem.”
“Yeah, I know. It’s standing in my basement as we speak.”
It was jimmy, Jimmy was the rat
..when they tell ya 20yrs u either become a holy roller or rat
He was definitely rattin this was unbelievable 😂😂😂
Tony knew he was a lucky rat soon as he walked in lol 😂
That's when you wonder whether you will leave the basement alive
Rat - I admit it , he did it
Rat - I confess, he’s guilty
Thank god for the pandering captions for every single clearly-spoken word of the same language.
When Tony said "ur a lucky man jimmy" he already knew he was gonna kill him
They even said they can lift the finger prints right off the bills. 😮
“Carm, fix him a plate ! He’s a guest !”
Classic.
All these hilarious comments almost made me forget...Jimmy actually wasn't a snitch after all....just stupid..mixed with Tony's EXTREME paranoia at that point...he wasn't a rat
Absolutely ❤️ The Sopranos ❤
You can tell that shit really pissed him off
You look good 😂 😂 😂
That smile should've been the indicator that you're meeting Jesus
Neither of these guys have ever missed dinner in their life!
Even the wife asked what happened 😂😂😂😂😂
Camera man never gets pinched even though he witnessed everything.
It’s so difficult tryna focus on what you’re saying with all the chaos in the background. I know you’re doing this for free and I’m grateful to receive these messages but damn
He should have ran when Tony told him that he was a lucky man 😂
This guy kissing each other more than their wives 😂
Jimmy had alteria motives 🥁🥁🥁
I would love to sit in the chair that keeps spinning just to see what happens. I have sleep paralysis and nightmares, 2 nights ago i had closed eye visuals of a kinda groot shaped thing that crept up to me and started biting my shoulder violently, didnr hurt but a weird electric feeling made me freak out and was swatting at it lol

"Did you get that thing I sent ya?"
This is the gangster equivalent of the Steve Buscemi "How do you do fellow youths?" meme. Except they're serious with this lol. Sopranos has got to be the most unintentionally funniest series ever.
Too many hallarious quotes and moments to count. Till this day a Sorpranos comment thread still gets a good laugh outta me.
