      That’s the running theme of the show; that most of the characters are hypocrites and half of them lack any self-awareness. Those who pointed out the hypocrisy either end up losing the connection they had or end up dead.

Everyone was younger, healthier (relatively), happier. And in the Meadowlands episode nobody knew he was seeing a shrink. Your comment would definitely apply at the tail end of season 5 though.

      In terms of the goal, yes, but Tony had to consider it from multiple angles. What he wound up doing was put the burden on Ralph, which meant it still got done, but it was a subtle way of getting back at him while exercising his authority as boss. Plus, an investigation would lead away from anyone who was at the game that night.

    They filmed the sopranos where I grew up. So The Sopranos has a special place in my heart. I used to see them filming all the time.
    My family had friends who were neighbors with the soprano house; before the show was filmed. It’s a beautiful area.
    Lastly, My sister ran into the actor who played Chris twice, and he was very kind to her both times.

    i know this video is abt chris, but i can’t help but notice how reserved tony can be in the first season. ofc he was still off the walls with his anger issues but he had a lot more confidence and wit, even when he’s confronting christopher after he grabs his face he just grins like a happy camper and casually rolls out. i’ve been watching the later seasons, and he’s just so paranoid and helpless to his own misery. by season six he’s practically a stranger. this show is too good

    That's why Christopher was such a great character. There were times when he was definitely pretty sharp and on top of things but other times like these where he's just a hotheaded impulsive moron. They all seem to have their good and bad moments. It's part of what makes it one of the greatest shows ever made.
