It’s frustrating because there’s a way for simmers to actually make an impact and get EA to listen; boycotting all new DLC, but that’ll never happen because most of the community have “completionist mentality”- they NEED to have all the packs. It’s worsened by the fact that it can get difficult finding stuff on the gallery unless you’ve got most of the packs. EA knows that we’ll complain but also knows we’ll still buy the pack anyway. Also I hope the stuff about project Rene isn’t true (it almost definitely is though), because it sounds like one of those mobile games where u need energy points to complete tasks (like the sims mobile actually)
Yeah its like people feel pressured to have every pack even if they'll hate it and NEVER use it. And yeah if rene does end up being mobile as well it'll be littered with microtransactions, and ill never play it
I had to spend 6 hrs making a house with the packs I own because the gallery is impossible to navigate. When you sort by what y oh own it still shows you what you don’t own. It’s so frustrating

Bloody hell. Those patch notes... This is something you would see on an old expansion pack that has been broken by the various amounts of dlc 😅
the grateful flock has been around for years now, I think they're just EA bots, I refuse to recognise them as real people.
The Sims 4 has always been unplayable to me, simply because of the lack of story progression and open world.

I haven't bought ANY of packs, expansions, kits since the wedding pack. During that stream dev shows so many bugs that it literally made me feel that we are a joke for them. I asked myself : do I want to pay for adds-on made so badly, that they are literally disgrace to play... and how it influences business- customer relationships, where the business literally says to all of us: you are so dumb that you will buy anything what we will feed you with. This is so sad that the players lowered their standards just to let them do this kind of things over and over again. As a long term simmer it makes me feel so sad and look for better games elsewhere and thanks god EA can't anymore keep sims game under their belt so in the future we should have a good competition and much better sims games :))))

Yep. The SIms 4 "leaks" coinciding with fan backlash is an obvious distraction tactic. Unfortunately it seems to work on a lot of people. It is good that some The Sims content creators are staying on target. Unfortunately, it is mostly the smaller channels. Good video.

"you're an EA shill, you're an EA bootlicker, you're an EA brown noser" thank you! the fact that we can still have simmer influencers supporting EA and Sims 4 with their whole chest, while so many simmers (both pc and console) can't even play their game b/c console controls and the EA App still need to be fixed. while EA is still spitting out broken af content. i'm supporting players who have broken games/console/App and not buying anymore EA or Sims 4 products. it's not that hard.

As a huge sims fan, sims has been really annoying me lately. I find most of the releases they've been putting out completely unoriginal and very bland, like oh great, another pack themed around America! 12 of the worlds are objectively in the USA, without even counting Sulani, Britechester, or Moonwoodmill. Probably because they can't be fucked to research other cultures or places and assume most of their consumer base is American and so wont care, but it is getting bland and repetitive. Why wasn't horse ranch set in the Irish countryside, or the Australian Blue Mountains? We already have 2 desert worlds! Like I know my wedding stories was broken as hell but at least the world was something original (ish).
I also wholeheartedly believe that like 90% of the (non cas) kits are just items that they would have normally released with an expansion pack, and because they can just divide up the product and get more money instead of making something new, they stopped making stuff packs.
I know you can't please everyone, but I am getting bored.
I REALLY wanted this pack to feature Australia! I feel it'd be a great pack to do so, but it definitely doesn't fit with the wild west theme they chose so fair enough- but I really would like to see places outside the US too

not only do they release half-done, shitty quality packs, but they also divide packs that were previously sold as one into little segmented packs - charged at full price of course! pets, my first pet stuff, and horse ranch, should have been together, like they were in the sims 3 pets. I will die on that hill. Same with vampires, werewolves, and realm of magic. Instead of combining them to make a fully fleshed out pack that players will be happy with, they chose to just make triple the money for hollow and extremely lacking packs, every time. I no longer play the sims 4 for this reason, they aren't having any more of my money.

Ask me how long ive been watching simmers and playing sims 3...I'll tell you my child hood. Ask when i downloaded sims 4 and I'll LITTERALLY talk about last...thursday? Maybe, Wednesdays. I only have base game and 2gb of cc and mods, nothings crazy. But the fact i put 0 dollars down and having the same experience of gameplay makes me laugh for me and cry for others.
people have such a parasocial relationship with ea/simgurus that any critique of the company is seen as attacking a close friend

Each doesn't see us as people, they see us as walking wallets. I used to play the Sims 4 religiously, but it quickly got boring and not to mention how EA just seems to forget about console players. They changed the fucking controller controls and haven't said or done shit about it. That was the last straw for me. Luckily I only bought 2 expansion packs and 2 game packs and that was when a sale was happening for the expansion packs. I feel bad for those who have spent so much money on this bullshit game that doesn't even work properly because you guys deserve to play what you paid for without any game breaking/immersion breaking bugs.
The only reason I still paly ts4 is I haven' t a other good option.
I think project rene is like Sims mobile and that sucks.

As much as I love the sims 4 EA FUCKING sucks. I bought the horse ranch ep just because I love horses and I can't even make horses of my favorite breed because this multi billion dollar company couldn't be bothered to make smaller horse breeds in an expansion pack about horses.
I had bought the game back when it wasn't free because I had seen so many people enjoying it, then I realized that 90% of the fun stuff are in packs you have to buy, I played it once for like ten minutes and never again. Waste of money if you ask me

What a sad, pessimistic view. Sure, it's frustrating that games release in needing day-1 patches, but calling it all dogsh*t? And seriously, no one thinks EA cares about us. No one's brown-nosing them. We just buy what we like. I preordered Horse Ranch and didn't personally experience any of those serious bugs. Sometimes playtesting doesn't catch everything. Sometimes the bugs occur randomly or when triggered by specific things not everyone does. Definitely, devs could make more effort to release a more polished product, and it's disappointing they don't, but this assessment is overly harsh. Some of it is warranted where EA is concerned, but this is just dismal. Lots of players and content creators are thoroughly enjoying the game in spite of it's flaws. Personally, I like Wedding Stories. I don't consider it garbage at all. Tartosa is a lovely little world to play in and many of the clothing and build items are nice and I use them regularly. So much negativity is just sad.

@@nani-hi8de - I've been playing The Sims for years on multiple platforms. Sims 1 & 2, Sims 2 Pets, Bustin' Out and The Urbz on GameCube, Bustin' Out on GBA, Sims 2 Castaway on PS2, Sims 4 on PS4 and Sims 2, 3 and 4 on PC. I'm a veteran Simmer.
This is just an example of what all big corporations are doing. Movie companies, big chain restaurants and stores....they all see everything their customers want and ignore it and do the opposite. It seems big companies these days are all doing everything they can to alienate their customers and make no money. I do not understand it.
