Before the writers of Madame Web and Morbius graced the world with those cinematic experiences, they delivered Gods of Egypt, a movie that exists and was made and exists.
Gods of Egypt definitely raises some questions. Like why is the God of Egypt Scottish? Why didn’t the other gods help Horus when they were all together, instead of being picked off individually later? What was the point of the entire second act?
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Gods of Egypt!

"Gods of Egypt" wasn't as bad as the other two.
Those two clowns have written a tour de force of the worst films of the past decade. Dracula Untold, The Last Witch Hunter, Gods of Egypt, Power Rangers, Morbius, and Madame Web. Talk about consistently failing upwards.

Best part of this one 🤣
this movie is near to my heart. one of my best friends and I needed to waste time while we waited for an appointment, so we went to a theater and arbitrarily picked Gods of Egypt. IT was noon in the middle of the week, the entire theater was empty, and we essentially got a private showing and didn't bother trying to be quiet, we roasted the hell out of it. It is the best time I ever had at a theater. We even had a running joke that the human guy was secretly the son of the god of luck because of everything that just magically works out for him even when it absolutely should not and he should have died several times throughout the movie directly because of his own decisions.
Effectively private viewings are the best 🤘
Oh, private viewings are tight!
He’s basically Pharaoh Atem (from Yugioh) with luck as his super power.
Same thing here with Terminator Genesis. My buddy and I laughed our asses off!
I had an experience like that with my dad when I was a kid. I was a huge Godzilla fan so he took me to go see the '98 Godzilla movie. The theater was empty and we sat there the whole time making fun of the movie. It was a terrible movie, but at least the cartoon it spawned was good.
It's always a good sign for a movie when the first time I hear of it is in a Pitch Meeting several years later.
At 4:03 the way the line “power inside him all along” is delivered is absolutely perfect.
It's actually the gag, throw up that is very funny about that one. Because that sort of thing (power inside him all along) is very much vomit inducing.
The gag immediately after that being caused by Producer Guy's lactose intolerance is just peak running gag
All he had to do was tap his ruby slippers together.

The fact that people actually go through these whole movie creation processes and never once question whether they should even though they can.

@@Owen-sx4jj The Ironic thing is we live on a Round Planet inside a Flat Solar System, inside a Flat Galaxy, inside a Flat Universe.
@@WillMuny are you sure about that?
@@Owen-sx4jj As sure as Modern Science has proven.
@@WillMuny you are in for a shock🥶
Fun fact: we've actually known the earth was round since around the 5th century B.C. The Greeks figured it out mathematically. They even got pretty close to calculating the actual size.
I read Ovid in school (Roman poet from the 1st century BC), it was funny how he actually depicted a round Earth as a ball swimming in the ocean, with only the top being above the water. With this depiction he basically transformed the knowledge of the Earth being round back into a virtually flat Earth for how people think the Earth is. Kind of eye opening that knowing the Earth is round doesn’t necessarily mean that they fully understood all the implications and why none of them dared sailing to America.
It's actually interesting because in the 8 century BCE the section of the Bible that the book of Isaiah is from says the earth was round. 300 years before the Greeks.
It was basically once people started sailing long distances over seas and oceans (not just up and down rivers).
There was a story where a Greek dude in bc times looked out on a dock and saw a ship coming in.
He noticed the top of the ship showed up before the front of the ship and thought "hang on, if the earth is flat, why do we see the tops of things before the fronts?"
15th century Christians couldn't figure that one out
So, Writer Guy is a Flat Earther - that explains a lot!

This is surprisingly accurate to ancient Egyptian mythology. People would save up there entire lives to buy a copy of the Egyptian "Book of The Dead" which had directions on how you walk to the afterlife, because peoples souls could get lost forever if they didn't do it right.
