I would prefer if they had shown tanjiro and everyone else like 10 years in the future. Would’ve been cool seeing older tanjiro, zenitsu and Inouske. Ending wasn’t satisfying, but can’t wait for the next arc to be animated.
That would be very cool to see, although I do personally think that the ending was satisfying (I just wish the series was longer because I'm a fan). Regardless, the huge profits will almost certainly lead to some sort of continuation.
I was satisfied with the ending considering these days happy endingd are rare with the new trend of sad or bittersweat endings.

i think this is an era where anyone could theoretically make their own anime film, just look at the fan animations of Demon Slayer
they look almost like the manga.

If there was a sequel in the modern era it would be quite interesting to have the characters discover more about the original cast researching their history and idk finding some sketched photos of some of the characters or something like that

I would be down for a sequel. They could do something interesting like Muzan's will attaches to one of the descendants and the kids have to learn breathing again in modern times. They could also bring an evolution to the demon slayer marks showing the kids are more powerful than the older generation. Some of the kids find out they have common ancestors and it strengthens the bonds that sort of thing. It practically writes itself. And I like the idea of there being another demon from the past. Either on that Muzan couldn't control or one that was a demon responsible for the existence of the blue flowers. Muzan could have actually been a victim. Anyway how about demons that could fight in the sun?

One do my gripes with the demon slayer story is they almost never go in depth like the demon slayer corps as a whole we don’t really know how it functions and works it’s said that they aren’t apart of the government so they could dig into politics and they don’t do it they could have made it so that kokoshibo made moon breathing to directly counter sun breathing (and muzan should have had moon breathing so he could do the moon walk) we never actually learn why demons are weak to the sun and why others can just be like “fuck off” and the sun doesn’t do anything we don’t get a good (in my opinion) back story of the origin of demons it’s sad
Their descendants’ personalities are so perfect. I could definitely imagine sumihiko with his personality and getting in trouble and also yoshiteru’s sister that looks like nezuko (forgot her name) when i think of her descendants i dont necessarily think of a mean kind of sister but it really suits his sister’s character i could definitely imagine her scolding yoshiteru a lot when it gets animated
Technically a different doctor could use the same medicine that turned muzan into a demon on another person creating new demons and creating a lot of different villains and new powers. This could easily happen

They could make a series with a “new” demon that was defeated by Muzan and fled, but has been growing more and more powerful over the centuries; but Muzan was killed before this demon could exact its revenge, so it’s enraged at the Demon Slayers when it learns of Muzan’s death.
Meanwhile, things start off with Tanjiro and company traveling the country, chasing myths and legends to try to learn how Yoriichi survived in spite of his mark. Could stretch that arc out a fair bit, maybe encounter another peaceful demon like Yushiro and Tamayo, but much older and had known Yoriichi… maybe Yoriichi entrusted something to him/her before he went to face Kokushibo? Develop the story from there.
The group splits up to search a few places, someone from the main cast finds the answer to how Yoriichi survived, but the ancient demon who lost to Muzan shows up and kills them or something. Or alternatively, Peaceful Demon steps in and buys enough time for cast member to escape with the answer.
Just random thoughts of what I’d do with the story for a sequel set during the timeskip 😅
I would love to see a demon like that who maybe fled to China and then created a whole Demon Empire in China.
I would love to see the blue spider lily make a return as a modern syrum, creating the process just like the beginning with Muzans doctor. Accept repeated in modern era.
I mean it's possible muzan did visit several other countries besides Japan searching for the flower. With his attitude I doubt that he didn't kill anyone or turn them into demons

I'd like a prequel, so we could see Tanjiro's, Zenitsu's, and Rengoku's ~ respective Masters'. I think it would be cool to see how/why Urokudaki can move without making a sound. Or how Zenitsu's (grandpa) Master has all forms of thunder breathing, and what they look like outside of black thunder demon art. I think it would also be pretty awesome to see Rengoku's father being a demon slayer, instead of an angry drunkard! 😁
What demon slayer should explore making a new sequel,is showing grown up Tanjiro and crew as higher rank demon slayers or working there way up to hashira becoming the new gen hashira by fighting new powerful threats. How they can do it is by letting the new descendents finding a journal written by Tanjiro about events that happened after the Muzan fight. And even after their long battle in his journal he leaves a big reveal that demons still lurks in the dark. Leaving the new generation to unlock their demon slayer bloodline abilities .

In my opinion a prequel is a great choice. Most of the first sun breathers story has been told already and can show just how powerful he was.
We already sort of have a glimpse of modern Demon Slayer. Would seems similar to tokyo ghoul.

When the team that was making cowboy bebop realized that they are making a masterpiece they cried thats what i read somewhere at least.i cant stop thinking what demon slayer team is feeling and thinking right now.i would love to see a documentary interviewing these people.
I think either a prequel could work or having it being set in the future with an Old Demon from Musan are that survived and went into hiding and then came out with an army of demons forcing all of The Descendants and reincarnations of the former demon Slayers to come together in some way like they're connected by Fate and then trained to become Slayers again

What about telling the story from demons perspective? For instance, have a zoom on Akaza or other twelve kizuki: how did they compete for muzan’s favor,? Who did survive and who got killed during the endless war with the demon slayer corp? It could be either a consistent prequel or miniseries
I can see the main characters being Kamanue for the lower moon story(mainly because from the start of the lower moon meeting, it seemed most focused on him) and Akaza for the upper moon story

The story HAS TO continue. I haven't cared much about many stories before. Demon Slayer is different and all of the characters are so enjoyable. The demon backstories, hashira backstories, main characters, etc etc. They should continue with a sequel after Muzan is killed and reform the Demon slayer corps. A new demon should emerge similar to @TheCrazyCapMaster's comment. His comment shares the same thoughts I have.

Maybe muzan kept some of his cells preserved after his fight with yorichi in order to regenerate if he ever was in an accident (as he learnt a lesson ) , he might have preserved them in a solution or just inserted the cells in a demon and then keeping the demon safe .
And also, we dont need such a long time skip so the creators may alter that part.

As someone new to Anime your videos are always so awesome and helpful! I love the idea of seeing the gang when they're older, especially Tanjiro. Whatever we get I'll just be grateful we get to stay in such an amazing world.
I personally like the little teaser at a sequel and the instant debunking of it. The writer definitely had some fun.
A sequel set in the modern age where through a evil twist of fate or something more sinister the deamons return and the descendants of the original slayers has to unravel the secrets of their ancestors to save their future.
we genuinely need murata to become a hashira because there has been a water and flame hashira since the beginning of the demon slayer corps so we need some goated water breath user to come in, aka murata

I truly believe that if there needed to be a reassembly of hashira then Senjuro, Aoi, and Murata would not be hashira. They could have a role as strong side characters that are friends with the protagonists but I doubt any of them would become that skillful. My only gripe within that is Shinjuro may start training Senjuro due to his general change of heart. But it may be more likely that both Rengokus have another successor in a different sense for flame breathing.
Including the three I listed above as hashira is a waste since there is such an opportunity to bring in new stronger characters. Also, too many familiar connections in the hashira rank may lead to it's own faults.

I'd definitely like to see something that happened after Muzans battle like them still trying to kill demons
What if the doctor who was curing Muzan actually tried the medicine on himself first. Seeing that it made him stronger and have superhuman abilities, he administered it to Muzan. Muzan proceeds to kill him but the doctor did not actually die. The doctor is essentially the first demon, but perhaps he doesn’t need to feast on humans to survive, but doing so would make him stronger. This also means he is the only demon with information of where the blue wisteria flowers are. Afterwards, the doctor hides and learns that Muzan is power hungry and wants to find the blue wisteria flowers to conquer the sun, forcing the doctor to hide since if Muzan knows hes alive, he will force the doctor reveal where the flowers are. He lays low and does not eat humans to not leave traces of a demon not under Muzan’s control. After Muzan’s defeat, the doctor finally comes out of hiding and perhaps went crazy after years of isolation. Either that or he is finally the only demon and has access to the flowers that allows him to conquer the sun.
Would be very interesting but it would be very cliche since we were told that Muzan killed the doc but turns to "haha I was the villain all along."

Well here is an Idea for a Demon threat but it does Involve Tanjiro's Family because I think that if you want a Sequel of the show you need something that has to deal with tanjiro, Yushiro and Probably Zenitsu and Nezuko's Family because if you think about it Just as our main man said it that Muzan's Cells didn't Dissappear but they just stayed their meaning that if Tanjiro wanted to in a desperate moment he probably would have been able to tap into those cells and become a demon again because last time I checked Muzan gave Tanjiro all of his blood probably meaning that Muzan's Blood might have also have gone down through the Kamado family as well meaning that they Might need something to well Activate those cells, which also means that Zenitsu and Nezuko's descendants might also have the cells but Yushiro said that Nezuko has cells that combat Muzan's cells so then they might not be a good candidate but also remember that Tanjiro Collected Alot of Uppermoon Blood so that means that Yushiro might still have it as well and well, one thing leads to another and someone might have it injected into them and turn into a Demon but remember that the Idea of Tanjiro's Family being the Demon threat is also possible because to activate Muzan's Cells we might have to use the blue Spider Lily and well since the Kamado Family has immunity to the Sun it would make them a final boss if I could say but then we would probably need Help from Yoriichi's reincarnation that's if he's strong enough to beat the siblings because I doubt he would and I also think that it would be kind of not a good idea to have his reincarnation just as strong as his past life because that would make the story probably shorter if they had a way to kill them and at this stage all I want is for a Story on Yoriichi's life in Detail and how he is now that he has reincarnated.
And I think that if this idea had to be carried out it would definitely have to be used with Alot of CARE.
Just Remember that this is an Idea.
But keep this in mid the yorrichi incarnation should have some more powers, cuz the reason yorrichi was the best demon Slayer is cuz he used sun breathing which targets all the vital organs in a demons body and it allows u to have a really powerful red blade which stops demon regeneration. But since the kamado family would be immune to the sun meaning even if u cut their vital organs with a bright red sword just like yorrichi's, that would do nothing to them cuz red blades and sun breathing represent the power of the sun and since they are immune to the sun those powers of yorrichi become useless.

I love this series so much I am fell in love with the characters and the story behind it.
In my opinion I would say the most likely to happen is A demon slayer sequel set in the modern day with all the characters recurnated it and new threat. Or A demon slayer sequel set after Tanjirou like his children and i think doing it as a movie would be the way to go.
The Sumi in Sumihiko means charcoal, and is just a different pronounciation for Tan in Tanjiro. Same goes to Sumiyoshi. The actual kanji word is the same 炭

The spider lily flower was used to turn muzan into a demon and is still in modern story possibly the guy that got fired for letting the flower die could hear about muzan and the spider lily and finds out about possible immortality through becoming a demon and uses it on himself and the battle to take him down would be even harder since the demon slayer Corp has been disbanded and breath styles will probably be forgotten and Yushiro will be there only real sorce of demon knowledge along with zenitsu book
Maybe the groups decendants will learn breathing styles and fight against all of them

At about 19 minutes talking about a demon he turned who fled ..... I can honestly see that happening . Like while muzans power was still new to him , one of the first people he turned into a demon having a power very close to or even the same as his unknown to muzan , because his power was still in adolescence . Idk , there's so much that can be done still with it ..... Truly a masterpiece

There are a lot of options really. a prequel base on kokushibou and his brother, a spin off about genya’s journey as a demon slayer, aspin-off about tamayo and and yushiro, a prequel spinoff about giyuu r sabato. And the list goes on

I’d love to see the demon slayer manga return someday in the future, but it would be rather complicated to make them return in a logical way. The first thing i thought of was a series about how the fight against demons was across the world, ex in Europe, America etc. The second thing I thought of was a way for them to bring back Muzan somehow, maybe through a demon we haven’t met yet that was even more powerful than upper 1, upper moon 0. Who could maybe be the first ever demon muzan created who has been traveling the world looking for the blue spider Lilly and now is looking for a way to bring Muzan back through Tanjiro because he still has his cells. These are just some ideas I thought of on the spot but I’m sure they will make it 100x better if they decide to bring it back (which they should because they make bank).

Imagine a series of side stories under the title “Chronicles of the Hashira” in which we see former Hashiras investigating Muzan, fighting Lower Moons, and eventually dying to Upper Moons.

They could use the Star Wars story mind set. That we saw and loved is episode 4-6, muzan original story and the birth of the first sun breather episode 1-3; rebirth or reincarnation of slayers and demons episode 7-9 Sith/ demons. A lot left to interpretation.
Its a shame we couldn't see a future with our lovely characters with their kids and loved ones hanging out before seeing this timeskip...still i love the fact that almost everyone got a happy ending.
I hope they make a OVA with our ships sailed T-T

Hear me out, they should do all three continuation right after muzans‘s death, a sequel of the modern time demon slayers and then, a Prequel of the past demon slayers. I feel they should do it in this order specifically. Then when they do the sequel of the modern time demon slayers sprinkling in some Easter eggs about the prequel of the past demon slayers, then once everyone starts talking about noticing the Easter eggs of the prequel, actually make the prequel. I say in this order specifically because people have already talked about & know so many facts about the past demon slayers stories through the manga. So that would be too predictable and people might get bored too quick but if you start with the continuation after Muzan‘s death that is what people is talking about now that’s what people want to know now.
in my opinion the demon slayer mark curse thing happens because muzan would kill off everyone with a mark to reduce the risk of the yourichi incident happening again

I always wanted to see spinoffs of the uppermoons blood battles. Akaza vs Doma. Doma vs Kokoshibo. Akaza vs Kokoshibo. And many more. Maybe not for every singlenone but just giving us a glimse of how demons of that caliber fight with eachother would be interesting especially for doma considering we never really saw his full potential
I have a question. When Tanjiro becomes a demon, he regenerates his arm and his eye, and then when he becomes human again he loses them both. Why Nezuko doesn't just die when she becomes human again? Because for example Daki beheads her and she loses multiple limbs.
Because nezuko turn to demon in perfect state when alive. Tanjiro already lost arm and eye before turning. When turning back to human, they turn back to last condition.

Arent demons supposed to die off when Muzan dies? Yet, Yushiro survived. Perhaps there are other demons out there that werent affected by Muzan's death, and not all of them are kinda friendly to humans unlike Yushiro. Would be an interesting to explore that. Those demons may not be as powerful as Muzan, but could be just as dangerous in other ways.

@@orabijuu8550 yea that's true, but shouldn't Muzan's death affect him in some way because he's somewhat connected to him to a degree.. They're just separated by one level. I haven't read the manga. If that's how it works, then that makes it even more plausible that there are some demons that survived Muzan Jackson's death.
For a plot, I think it kinda lacks the "oomph" it needs to make it a good sequel... Maybe just as a movie would be good, but I dunno. The "new" surviving demons could have made it to the modern world too so it would be quite interesting. Maybe it's possible to connect the withering of the blue spider lily with a demon resurgence. It's interesting but I don't find it as exciting. What do you think?
The most likely "new" demonslayer series would be a prequel. We see Yoroichi as some unbelievably powerful demonslayer, but given that the series kinda emphasizes the value of teamwork rather than being gifted or special, the prequel with Yoroichi as the MC could put focus on hard work and hitting ones' potentials. It could still be something completely different - who knows?
Whichever they take, the likelihood of a new demonslayer story coming out is very plausible given how well the main story performed. $$$

We assumed doctor that treated muzan is dead. The new demon muzan made a mistake and did not check to see if he was dead. It is possible while muzan was in japan he was not. Worst case senerio. He was waiting for time of peace and time muzan is dead.
Can we talk about how CLUTCH Tamayo and Yushiro were? I did not expect them to be so involved/helpful. Even the demon slayer corps pulled their own! I love the supporting cast in this manga. Everyone gets their shine.
spin offs expanding the stories of Obanai, Gyoumei and Mitsuri would be nice. I'd like to see other users of breathing styles that are spread out through Japan too.
