Fun fact: English VA of Nilou (Dani Chambers) is also an avid fan of Ace Attorney franchise
It's a pitty. Coming from someone who didnt either roll Nilou nor it's her fan, I can say with the most subjectivity her personal story was the one most acomplished on Sumeru. Not only faced the discrimination against the most powerful organism of Sumeru, the Akademya, she also won them on their own terrain. Also I think the lack of fight against censorship and the discrimination of arts on culture is the first step towards the intellectual and cultural stagnation. Even scientists dream to go to space because someone made songs or stories about it.
Actually, you make a good point that i just realized. In the archon quest one of the akademiya members said there was a lack of breakthroughs and intellectual discoveries ever since Rukkadevata died. The Akademiya prided themselves on the nation that doesn't dream while simultaneously felt lost and without any guidance. it's really quite ironic.
@@arcazure9610 Because Sumeru people lack "dreams" in more than one sense! Exactly! Even us, as society, always make breakthrought on fields where the collective imagination bring us forth. This is like the ouroboros thing, even the best scientist has choosen to become one because as kids the picked up a comic and saw crazy stuff going on like artificial limbs, computericed worlds(Virtual reality) or straight up AI taking over the world. Think about it.
Asimov laws for robotics were formulated byt first time on his short story “Runaround” (1942) wich stablishes _"A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law."_ . Wich could be considered the first formal Artificial Intelligence creation moral code before the first "electronic computer" was created (possibly around 1946). And only recently, well past the 2020s we have seen the necesity of actually applying moral code to the creation of AI (wich you can understand that "robots" are a one of the forms AI can take).
If this guy, Asimov and his generation didnt made sci-fi stories back then, kids wouldn't dream about artificial intelligence.
Of course this is I think a very narrowed down POV because I myself went into the computing field because that is where literature, movies and comics brought me to. Probably there are many other crazy examples that doesn't have to do anything with computing haha.

@@onemoregodrejected9369 actually you really could make an article. I made this video bc i found literally nobody else talking about this, I've got alot more genshin story topics i dont see covered by any channel
The only I want rewrite genshin is the story where playable characters say we will fight but where just litteraly controlling them and heck sometimes there's not even a trial characters
But after having play sumeru story quest world quest and dehya story quest where npc are now fighting with us instead just imagining we fight together even though were not
And also still waiting a playable characters become an enemies boss or litteraly fight side by side instead of control them
And people still hated this story quest because it was another NPC focused story quest.
Honestly i've noticed they do alot of playable-focused content on the events. Which is a shame because exploring Collei's social anxiety in windblume was pretty nice but the event is over now and anyone who missed it will never get to play it.
