- We're going back to revisit some old story points. There's still many unanswered questions surrounding the experiment in Sumeru, and, I think it's time I finally put out some answers.

The first time we meet scaramouch, i think him figuring out the sky is fake was a test by dottorre to see how well he can handle divine knowledge
Dottore is the most interesting character in genshin for me, I'm always happy to see theories on him.
I don't think he forgot about Scara, he knows things Orobashi got sentenced to death for, no way his memories can be tampered with by Irminsul. He strikes me as type of villain who would always be like ten steps ahead of you which makes me love him even more, we need more villains like him that feels like a threat rather than boring NPCs that makes quests feel like a snoozefest.
About the divinity that Nahida couldn't feel in Scaramouche I have a speculation. In Fontaine when Focalors wanted to get around the prophesy, it wasn't her human nor oceanid form that Neuvillette saw at her execution. It was her divinity, the "heavenly throne" of the hydro archon. That's why she can switch between pneuma and ousia after her "death", one is her human part another is the oceanid part, while her "archonhood" is lost. So, Nahida didn't sense divinity in Scaramouche because he wasn't an archon, yet he could very well be a god at that time. I hope, it makes sense.
Oh that would be great for my theory if true.
@@arcazure9610 I saw someone posted about divinity being separate from Focalors on twitter and expanded on it a little. I mean, it would be strange if Furina could change between pneuma and ousia just with her will. She is a human after all. So, I thought that there must be something more to it than her god form dying.
I think Furinas ability to use pneuma and ousia may be a property of her special vision that was granted by Neuvillette. My understending is, that she is no longer an oceanid and now has real blood like the rest of Fontainians. But i have to agree on the last part about scaramouche. Divinity is just a very vague term when it comes to genshin.
She couldn't see any divinity in him because there was none. Nahida states clearly they didn't have time to use the canned knowledge capsules and we know this is true from how people (and, presumably, puppets, being humanoid) would react to divine knowledge - it drives them mad.
Scaramouche's consciousness would have been erased and replaced with an artificial repository of King Deshret's consciousness instead, that was what was supposed to happen, but the traveller and Nahida intervened with the experiment before it could be completed and Scaramouche was already prepared to fight by that time. Dottore and he do NOT get along, and Scaramouche is a loose cannon even more than Childe is, so it isn't like he was going to cooperate.
@@redslyfox4Y'all are overthinking something that already has a response -- Scaramouche did not have divine knowledge, that is why Nahida did not sense divinity in him. We arrive before they can use the divine knowledge capsules.
One writer in Ao3, (One mark, Two souls, Three betrayals) has this story that contains what-if the Gnosis experiment had succeeded. Dottore explained that the automaton/Shouki-no-Kami uses Scaramouche as a temporary power source to drain life from, while the Electro Gnosis is it's temporary battery in it's chest. The longer Scara resided in the machine, the further it drained his power, and in Irminsul, the Balladeer barely had any divine power left in him. This makes sense, because if Scara were fully a god, he wouldn't be so cooperative with the Tsarista, he'd be too much of a threat to the Fatui otherwise. He would've caused Sumeru to wage war with Snezhnaya, which I doubt the Cryo Archon has the patience for. The experiment gets rid of Scaramouche as a threat, and it benefits the Fatui with a powerful super-weapon with absolute obedience to them.
From the way the wires clung to the Balladeer's back, that is pretty sus if you ask me. What's frightening is that when the Balladeer discovered this 'truth' in Irminsul, he wasn't mad at the possibility of dying from it, he was mostly mad at Dottore for deceiving him, so if the Doctor had been truthful from the start about what ascending as a artificial god would cost him, I think Scaramouche would've went through with it completely with no hesitation, because he doesn't care about himself, he just wants to find some purpose and utility that makes him a useful tool to the world. He will literally kill himself for it, and this is proven in Irminsul.
What if the Shouki-no-Kami was supposed to be a vessel for the 3rd Descender? Or at least, it's merely a prototype for the real project of bringing back the 3rd Descender.
That sounds like an amazing theory. However, there's a hole in this. The Third Descender is from another world and is not tied to Teyvat's laws. Scaramouche being turned into a Descender is unlikely since he was born and created in Teyvat, so therefore, he lacks the will to change the world. As far Scaramouche was concerned, he wanted the Gnosis to cover up his god-complex, worship to not longer feel worthless and power.

@@mariapazgonzalezlesme Shouki-no-Kami's connection to Irminsul would've allowed him to discover Dottore's deception eventually, so yeah I doubt the Doctor would allow Scara to become a Descender, even if it were possible. So, I think it's a prototype for a grander purpose in mind. Except it won't just be one or two Gnosis, but all of them. Natlan is about resurrection after all.

Just a random thought about the Akasha system and memory collecting goal:
What if it's goal is to actually control people like that first time we encountered dottore?

If their main goal is to create a god powerful enough on their side using the gnosis / 3rd descender remains, that god's power would depend on people's faith.

Which as a new god, people will have their doubts and will take time to actually gain their trust.
And what better, fastest way to do so than changing peoples' perception through a hive's mind brainwashing system?

If Dotore experiment with forbidden knowledge, may-be he do it while being carful to not contaminate himself.
I will be honest. I actually thought that Dottore was secretly the Third Descender. Considering all the experiments, the segments of himself, and the amount of knowledge he had that he shouldn't normally have access to. Also? What is spoken to Nahida but we don't know about...it had definitely something to do with the Descenders, considering what she talks to us about after all is said and done.
It just gave me the vibes that maybe the Third Descender was staring at us for a while now. That he didn't die...but hopped bodies.
I wonder if the tree burning was more a metaphor for destruction. I forgot in part what my exct thoughts were but I guess I question whether the tree visual was meant to actually happen or if weve already uncovered it. Like nahidas story on wanderer. In it there is a forrest blazing burning. While irminsul is THE tree shown what if its more visual omen, that one who is known to cause detruction was going to take action and it would affect the ley lines and the whole world?
In part like we are not waiting for that to happen cause the events and things they pertained to already did.
Project Stuja. Arlecchino aka 🔥 which kills memories. And irumansul is the Hivemind of every memories of tyvet. And also Irumansul is hiding the fake sky from Tyvet. So its definitely not gonna be a metaphor.
the mech's elemental abilities could just be using advanced experimental tech based on the skirmishers' gear and weapons. those guys don't use delusions, i think.
What confuses me about the Fatui plan, is that Pierro particularly advised against using Abyssal power in Khaenriah... So I always assumed his new plan doesnt involve Forbidden knowledge. Could be Dottore doing his own thing, but I don't believe his plan was to make Scara a "Dragon authority Archon" level god, more like an imitation god... Probably had a contingency plan, and even if Scara didn't cooperate, the top 3 harbingers have powers that rival the gods so he wouldmanage...
For why Scaramouche was able to use multiple elements during his boss battle, it could be a power related to Delusions, since his battle suit was created by the Fatui's top scientists and materials.
Wouldn’t you think if he had a “regular” god with one gnosis, what would happen if Docttore created a god with 7 gnosis? So how would the Tsaritsa even begin to control a god created from 7 gnosss?
taking into account that the gnosis are made from the remains of the first one who came, perhaps the tsaritsa and the fatui are planning to bring them all together to somehow bring him back and then rival celestia??

@@-toriizaka46 well, firts of all - it's just a game made for gaining money and if Dottore can give hoyo money, it means he'll be playable) And "redemption" didn't hurt Scara for example, majority of the people love him even more now. In my case - i don't care exactly how Dottie will become playable (if so), I just want him playable no matter what. Besides there is bunch of other Fatuus who also villains and can replace Dotto in this role. But ofc people can have diff opinions, this is only mine.

About scaramouch erasing himself : may-be Dotore just remember that he build a "computer" that recorded the knowledge he now has.
(may-be he know more, but scaramouch erasing himself don't imply that he lost what he learned)
What if that's why the experiment didn't go well bc of a certain variable ( Traveler!) And in my theory the burning irminsul was the supposed outcome of the experiment with scara or it could only indicate the as you said the doctor could've have a backup memory of the deleted memory as per contract of the two (Nahida and doctor) the burning tree could be the representation of deleting the said memory as per contract and he smiled bc he had a backup one...... Might be confusing to understand but I guess you could get the point but hey it's just a theory 😊
