Fire Saga perform Husavik | Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
/ netflixnordics
Two small-town singers chase their pop star dreams at a global music competition, where high stakes, scheming rivals and onstage mishaps test their bond. - Zábava
This movie and this song is criminally underrated
@patrickkelly3 This song without Will Ferrell singing is good enough to be nominated for an Oscar, I think.
It's only been out a frickin' week!
The entire movie is a waste of time, but the music (some) is ok, even good. This song is a nice exemple.
Fire Saga was released straight to Netflix so, by the pre-COVID rules, it would not qualify for Academy Award consideration. But I am sure there will be some modifications made to the eligibility requirements
My god, the way people use the word "underrated" is getting ridiculous: it's barely been out two weeks!
This song is Oscar material.
Rene - I agree with you ......that is good for an Oscar ♥
So good! My daughter loves this music
I totally agree, but the academy ignores movies like this one 😢🤷♀️ they see will Ferrell and think "nah next"
I couldn't agree more I've been listening to Husavik on loop since I saw the movie on Netflix, it's an unique masterpiece
Seriously, it does a brilliant job of being part of the storytelling in the film and a solid song all its own.

Also they wouldn't have the lightning on the stage like this, visual, backtrack music that is playing. Unless elves helped out, dunno .XD
I like Will Ferrell but i was afraid that he was gonna make a joke out of Eurovision and Iceland. I was happily surprised that this move showed the beauty of both Iceland and Eurovision while being a comedy.
Luckily he is married with a Swedish woman and so he knows the esc and what Europeans feel about it. If he had made a joke about it, her family would throw him out 😂

I like how Will Ferrel hates Americans in this movie. He’s a more open-minded American, it’s extremely rare to be able to be the rib-tickling funny actor and the serious actor in a touching moment
That's such a funny part of the movie. Lol

@@stephy1402 I completely concur! Endearing doesn't even begin to describe the little recurring eccentricities of the characters. Furthermore, Rachel McAdams' comedic skills and timing truly shine with her portrayal of Sigrit. With this great, big world before me
But it's all for someone else

All I needed was to get away
Just to realize that I was meant to stay

Where the whales can live 'cause they're gentle people

And I can tell you feel it too
Where the mountains sing through the screams of seagulls
Where the whales can live 'cause they're gentle people
In my hometown, my hometown
Where the northern lights burst out in colors
And the magic nights surpass all others
