I see no mention about the first woman singing completely Acapella. No music to keep her timing/tone. Just raw talent, emotion, and soul. Impeccable.

The first singer is Maddison McNamara and she had just lost her friend. So yes, it was very emotional for her at the beginning but she put all her sadness and passion in the song. Perfect and so beautiful!

The woman singing Hurt gave me goosebumps man. All these people are so ridiculously talented. I gotta give it to those people who are singing in another language too dude.
Something I noticed about that audition, I have a feeling that this audition was at the beginning of the season as none, none of the judges used their block buttons, meaning, clean slate.

The first woman’s voice was like real raw honey. So pure and smooth, not loaded down with extras. She sang with so much soul and emotion it made me cry. Such an amazing voice.
The first audition gave me goosebumps. The way she conveyed the emotion is incredibly well done! I feel the word HOPE. Also, the one who sang the song of Queen is commendable and she's doing fantastic!

That wasn’t nerves…she dedicated that performance to a friend lost to suicide. She was just super emotional.

It is hard, but honestly, I'm not interested in sound alikes for a song. It's not an impression contest, it's about being able to sing. Can she sing that song? Yes. No doubt, but does she only sing Joplin songs or can she sing others songs in Joplin's style?

No doubt. That is an absolutely challenging song to sing as you have to possess both vast vocal range and incredible courage to be able to sing it the way she did. She put it all out there her heart and soul.

The one in Poland, singing Janice Joplin's piece, blew me away! That screech in the beginning is fantastic! The last time I heard such was probably not even Janice herself, but Deftones ft. Rodleen "Knife party" !🤯
They were all extremely good, but the Polish woman is something else. That is a song only the chosen few can sing, because it is so hard. Absolutely amazing.

Can we talk how actually UNIQUE is Lou Mai's voice? I mean all singers here were phenomenal, but her voice is literally unlike I've anything I've heard before. Not just talent, but also a voice that stands out so much!

I never really understood the song “Chandelier” before. Probably because it hits too close to home. After watching the man who sang it here, I’m sobbing in my apartment, alone, and I can’t stop. Fortunately, I understand something about my life, my choices, and my inner thoughts.

The lady who sung hurt and the lady who did vision of love blew them out the way
The first singer is a perfect example of musical storytelling. She wasn't singing lyrics (or even needed background music). You can tell she was trying to embody a character or tap into a real episode of her life. Even as a man that song hits hard when you think about what it means. It's a farewell gone to the love of your life when you come to terms you are in the way of their true happiness they deserve, even though they make you the happiest you have ever felt. It's a bitter pill to accept and if you have ever had to do that (like I have and others), then you understand the reason this song is classic is because it conveys two conflicting emotions. Sadness of saying goodbye. Genuine Love for the person you want happy with or without you. Even after 20 years I still think about this person, and check in on how she is doing through social media. Hurts you love someone so much, but happy that she has a life you could never give her. Great husband, kids, a dog, and a circle of love around her. What else can you want for someone else. It would be selfish to wish otherwise. I made the right decision to walk away and let her follow her heart 20 years ago. I would just be in the way.

The lady Madison singing "I will always love you," has the emotion you want a singer to have, but almost too much to where she can't sing the song. Her voice has everything you want. Power, tone, soul, and the ability to hold notes with such ease, so relaxed. Her vibrato was one of the best I have ever heard. I am amazed at the talent of worldwide singers.
