I was a musician since aged 12. By 16 I was playing in professional gigs and was considered talented in my youth. I went on to play in famous venues and concert halls all over the world, but if I could rewind my life and start again, I'd sacrifice all that to be able to do what you're doing here. I'm so envious

Standard Italian that Ryan spoke is Tuscan dialect that has become the official language of italy rather recently in 2007… Italy has many dialects, I have learned to understand calabrese dialect from southern Italy where it’s quite unlike standard Italian.
when I was in Indo I kept mixing up dong and kawan. I don't know if the language is so forgiving or if the Indonesians are just so polite, but no one pointed out my mistake.

Does anyone here know a good starting point to learn a language that is better than the standard school method where you learn from a book or is that the only way? I know each person learns differently, but I am going into business for my university major and I am considering learning a second language that would help in the business world to allow for me to work in other scopes than just the US and international companies that use English. I am also very interested in foreign cultures, which is my main reason for wanting to learn in addition to my university major. The ones I am considering transferring to from a community college has classes for either of the languages I am deciding between. The languages I am trying to decide between is Russian, Arabic, or Chinese. I know either of them will take a long time, so I need to decide before I commit to one of them. Thanks for your input!
It's very easy to learn how to read in Korean. Literally in one day you can learn the korean alphabet and start reading. I used the korean for beginners course on Coursera taught by Yonsei University. Hope this helps.
