I did live in London for a while, so I could probably improve that accent if I would put work into it, but then again, I'm barely surrounded by Brits these days, so I would have to go out of my way to achieve that goal, there might be better priorities to look at in 2024 😉

hahaha that is because I lived in way too many English speaking countries, including the UK, New Zealand and Autralia and Canada, after a while my brain crashed it's true though, Germans learn British English in school, hence your experience I assume :)

Mein Rezept ist eigentlich nicht zu kompliziert:
- ich überleg mir was ich sagen will oder was andere Leute antworten würden
- mit Hilfe von ChatGPT, LanguageReactor (Chrome Plugin für CZcams/Netflix) und GoogleTranslate hol ich mir die Übersetzungen
- für jeden Satz erstell ich in Anki oder Brainscape eine Flashcard (Karteikarte)
- mit Hilfe von TextToSpeech (i.e. www.naturalreaders.com) und Audacity (open source audio Software) erstell ich ein mp3 vom Satz und füge das zur Flashcard hinzu
- lernen, lernen, lernen

that's a Sony ZV-E10, it's great, apart from the cropped sensor. Works well though with a 15mm lens!

@@Speechbound pretty much every German learns Brazilian Portuguese when learning Portuguese mostly because they think it "sounds nicer" and Portuguese can immediately tell you're German just by the accent no matter how hard you try to hide it because for some reason the Brazilian dialect makes the German accent pop up like a Christmas tree 🎄
