I love how everyone seems so much at ease when you speak to them in their language. Love your videos.
When you speak to a man in a language he understands, you speak to their mind, when you speak to a man in the language he grew up with, you speak to his heart.
They seem to be insecure about their English skill so faced with an American they want to have a good conversation in English but at the same time are scared of being judged by them
I’ve studied a couple of languages - there’s no greater relief than being able to switch back to your native tongue.

My favorite interactions from you are with people from Indonesia. I don't know a single word in that language but I can tell when you have those conversations they're the most relaxed and also I don't know if it's through the magic of editing or what but every single person featured from Indonesia seem so nice, friendly cool and cozy.
They're genuinely one of the more social and outgoing people on the planet. And since the 70s the nation has opened up more and more, and the people are genuinely kind and generous. They're the total opposite of the people in my nation... which really cures my depression whenever I can see a group of people be able to have healthy conversations with strangers.

I started seeing it on CZcams with a video years ago where a few young Iranians made a video with the Happy song and were arrested. When you can make people smile anywhere in the world you give them hope for a better future and each generation coming up gives us a better chance to become closer together. So, keep it up and show the world we have that one thing in common, HOPE!

Ryan, I somehow stumbled upon your channel. And I want to say that what a joy it is to watch you interact with youth overseas. I’m an old duffer, a father and grand father. Watching you gives me hope and encouragement! You engage so very positively…, really you’re having an awful amount of fun. Just watching the smiles on the young ladies and the guys when you connect is such a joy. You are a breath of fresh air in a sometimes very raunchy social media world. You do a great job! And what a gift to speak other languages…like peering into mystery and finding wonderful surprises.

Good episode man. Chippy reminded me a lot of a friend I met in college. She was from Kyushu, so Japanese, but the same cool and stylish attitude and had jokes too. I'm surprised that you haven't done Japanese yet. Since you know korean, then you'd already know the grammar and they share a few words. You could pass this kind of conversational level easily dude.

I’m currently torturing myself by re-learning Spanish, German, and newly-learning Slovenian. I dream in a mix of those, and back in my school days my teacher said that if I could dream in another language then I was doing well, so props to you bro. Love the way you can switch gears into other languages.
First time watching this channel. Ryan is really fluent in Chinese. He is really good. He reminds me of the other guy in New York who is also fluent in Chinese. But Ryan also speaks Russian! Very impressive. Sadly I only know one language. I really think you have an ear for languages and a real passion to learn it.
Sir you are an inspiration! I have been learning Korean for 5years but am still far behind. I also am starting to learn French. I desire to reach fluency like you. Keep it up bro. These OmeTV interactions are funny, entertaining and inspiring.
There are two other people on CZcams that also speak a few languages. One "specializes" in the Chinese languages (that's what he claims) and the other speaks them as well, but also one of the lesser-learned of Chinese dialects too. Thing is, between the THREE of you... YOU are the most fluent by far! Your body language as well as your syntax and inflection causes you to ooze a lot more... confidence... when you speak, to the point that it almost sounds... native. I am extremely impressed!!! 👍👍👍
I totally get some of this- his Chinese (I'm also American English speaking mid Mandarin) is very fluent but the language is both tonal and spoken in phrases. It's fundamentally hard for a Romance Language speaker to switch into East Asian languages. Total respect for what he is doing here.
He's also Fluent in francais. and has quite high proficiency in Italian. guy just a chameleon in the form of human. Not to mention indonesian

@@RyanHaleYT Ryan be careful with coffee... I thought I should tell you, since you mentioned liking it so much. I never abused any other substances and I developed serious problems related to coffee, it can provoke very serious issues like those you would get from addiction. My best advice would be to not have coffee at all... after a while you will need a certain dose only to feel normal (and without it you feel "down").

It's always beautiful seeing people at ease when you speak their language! Not to mention how speechless they become. My wife is from Sumatera and yes, there are quite a few Christians there, mainly the Batak people. I've been to Medan a few times, as I transit through there to go to Pemantangsiantar. I know of Padang, and you need to try Sate Padang (Padang Satay). Delicious, but it sometimes can have a bit of kick.

In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.
