I read The Final Empire and thought it was just "okay." Definitely not into trying to finish the big ole series. So when everyone and their dog is like, "WOO HOO SANDERSON" I get to sit here, alone. Maybe I can sit with everyone who hasn't read it yet! :)

Maggie Stiefvater is an auto buy author for me! I just read The Raven cycle like two weeks ago and I flew through them. I really love her character development and the world she created is fantastic, I'm so in love 😁

Morgan Matson is an auto-buy author for me! Also Rick Riordan, Cassandra Clare and Rachel
Hawkins. I also own everything Wendy Mass has written. She writes fantastic middle grade novels.
I agree with all of these that I've read;) I've actually decided to do this after seeing so many people doing it!:D I'm excited, and I hope to film it tomorrow.
One of my Buy Authors is Patrick Rothfuss. I loved everything he wrote! He's AWESOME!

My auto-buy authors would probably be Gillian Flynn (you have to read Dark Places and Sharp Objects ASAP! I finished read Sharp Objects last night and it was so good, and Dark Places is my favourite Gillian Flynn book, even better than Gone Girl) and Rainbow Rowell :)
Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects (her first book) is SO good - I enjoyed it better than Gone Girl, so I'd definitely recommend it. Also, Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta is amazing. (It's the only book I've read by her, which is ridiculous because I'm Australian.)
I also bought a couple of Chima's books while I was in the US because I know how much you love her - looking forward to getting to them!
Jenny Han is one of my auto buy authors as well! My favorite is To All The Boys I've Loved Before.

I recently subscribed, and I'm so glad I did. Our reading preferences are so similar, and throughout this whole video, I was just squealing, "YOU UNDERSTAND!!" I'm going through all your videos to find new reads--your taste is fantastic!
But...I couldn't finish Sanderson's Mistborn. Everyone seems to love it so much though, so I think I need to try it again. I'm wondering if I didn't like it because I felt rushed due to finals/the impending library due date.

I'm definitely going to read every single book that Alexandra Bracken will ever write.
Hmm...now that I think about it, I have a lot of auto-buy/read authors. They are: D.J. MacHale, Juliet Marillier, Cassandra Clare, Rick Riordan, Gayle Forman, Marie Lu, Patrick Ness, and Brandon Sanderson. There are probably more, but these are the first that come to mind. :)

My auto buy authors are Bernard Cornwell, Patrick Rothfuss and Eduardo Spohr, this last one is a Brazilian author, so you probably make no ideia of who he is but..... his books are incredibly amazing, seriously!

Martin, Neil Gaiman, Elizabeth Wein, Garth Nix, Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner, Stephanie Perkins, and Jandy Nelson. Wow, this is a long list.
Khaled Hosseini is one of my fav authors. I've read all three of his books and they're fantastic!! My favourite is The Kite Runner. I wish he would write another book soon

Linwood Barclay is definitely an auto buy author for me. He writes suspense/thriller novels and they're AMAZING.

Mine are Lisa Mcmann, L.J. Smith, Christopher Pike, Cassandra Clare, and Patrick Ness even thought I've only read one of his books.
I love these! Mine are Stephen King, Joe Hill, Rainbow Rowell, Neil Gaiman, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Toni Morrison, John Green, Carol Rifka Brunt, Gillian Flynn, Lisa Gardner... I feel like I'm missing someone.
I have no auto-buy authors, but these are pretty fantastic. :)
Most of my auto-buy authors sort of go in reverse, meaning that a lot of them are dead and will no longer be putting out new work but when I find their books, I always always grab them, because I love having multiple copies of their books. But as far as ones still writing, JK Rowling as Robert Galbraith is a definite, because Cormoran Strike is just...everything!
I will buy anything Rainbow Rowell has touched and I am definitely on a quest to read all of Brandon Sanderson's series and standalones. Not sure about the books he has written in other series though. It would also take a lot to keep me away from anything Rick Riordan has written. I will definitely read all of his series.
Mine would definitely be Louise Rennison, she's a hilarious British author :)

You should check out Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. It is pretty amazing! Two of my auto buy authors are Neil Gaiman and Cat Winters.

Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Christen Feehan, Lynsay Sands, L. L. Foster are the few I can think of off the top of my head.
At this point, my auto-buy authors would be Marisha Pessl, Michael J. Sullivan, and George R. R. Martin. I'd also include the throne of glass series since I'm already invested in it. ^_^

12. K.J. Parker (well... I believe he/she is still alive, since we know nothing about who he/she is).

And well, this is just going by authors who are still alive and can release new books I can autobuy without thinking twice. So J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, Robert Jordan, David Gemmell, Ray Bradbury and the recently departed Terry Pratchett, whom I miss terrible and still haven't gotten over... seriously, if I were capable of crying (which I'm not, believe me) I would've when I heard the news of his passing and am still trying to get out of the reading slump his death left me in.

I didn't enjoy More Than This by Patrick Ness at all, I gave it one star, I loved the beginning, but by the end I was so bored and skimming to get through it, so i am reluctant to pick up something else by him.

I am so trying to read misborn but it's just not grabbing me. I'm not sure I like fantasy books. I'm reading but not grasping anything. I'm at the point where I'm forcing myself to at least read 10 minutes a day to try to get into it.

I think that I do not need to say J.K. Rowling: there is like a natural impulse inside me that push me to buy immediately everything she wrote, it is in my DNA.
Also, same thing goes with George R.R. Martin, Irvine Welsh and Haruki Murakami, some of my favourite authors ever.
And, can't help but thinking about this while watching you, I really need to pick something by Brandon Sanderson up, I must! Next auto buy author for me? Maybe!

I just recently subscribed to your channel. I like everything. I am thinking about doing a booktube channel myself but I completely feel out of my league. Unlike most booktubers that read a lot and are mostly in their twenties, I write a lot and am much older and I am not quite sure how an author would create a channel. Do you have any advise?
My only auto buy author is John Green... other authors I only buy their books if they sound interesting.
