The Shadow of the Wind is probably my absolute favorite novel, right up there with The Book Thief, Any book by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is just amazing!

My best friends love those and made me read them. While humorous, so many times I had to look up from the page and say to myself, "What the heck is happening?!" Since "This Book is Full of Spiders," those images keep popping in my head. So much weird.

I loved loved loved The Ghost Bride! The world, the mystery, everything. One of my favorites from last year and a book I want to re-read multiple times.
I just donated about 30 books I read but didn't love or ones that I was no longer interested in because I was feeling overwhelmed. I still have 200 + unread books including my Kindle but I feel a lot better about what is left. I'm excited to get to them.

We are all completely beside ourselves. Great book. Full of interesting flashbacks and themes include: animal rights, family, etc. It gives you pieces of the puzzle which you will have to put together as you go along...
Deathless is one of my all time favorite books! Can't recommend it enough.

City of Thieves is one of my favorite books! I read it a few years ago and at first I thought it was just okay, but the story and the characters have really stuck with me and I've come to love it a lot.
The Queen of the Tearling, Please Ignore Vera Dietz, and Snow Like Ashes!! SO GOOD
A Thousand Pieces of You is sooo good! I really recommend that one! I can't wait for the next one to come out!

SABRIEL!! You know that book everyone has that they rec every time someone asks? This is mine (or rather the entire series). The books are just so wonderful and interesting and full of characters that you fall in love with. You've talked about loving interesting systems of magic, and Garth Nix definitely delivers on that.
I recently read The Name of the Star and the rest of The Shades of London, and I flew through all three books and the novella in less than a week. Thoroughly enjoyable, and great if you're looking for a fast, easy read.
So many great books, though! My wife and I have quite a few of those sitting on our shelves or to-buy list right now, and I just added a few more from your video.

The Unbound is a beautiful and interesting book. It is so human. And. The world is so complete and interesting to me and you know all the characters so whole heartedly because they are written so well. Man. that book. ...Its just good. I hope you get to it and love it.
You have such good taste in books! A lot of these are on my-need to buy when Im not broke and have to time to read for fun because final exams suck- list, but some of them I forgot about until you mentioned them!
I'm a big WWII buff and Between Shades of Gray is one of my favorite books. If you like that era of history, you'll really like that one!
A Tale for the Time Being, The Golem and the Jinni, and The Shadow of the Wind are three of my all time favourite books. All three have really beautiful writing and a certain uniqueness in their style that pulls you into the story. Read them soon!

Jellicoe Road remains my favorite book in the entire world. I promise that it will be one of the most beautiful, lyrical, heartbreaking and bittersweet stories that you will ever read in your life.
The Shadow of the Wind and The Narrow Road to the Deep North are absolutely must read. The last one has a harsh narrative but it's also intertwined with small beautiful moments.
I remember absolutely ADORING Magyk by Angie Sage when I was younger! I would recommend that one especially, along with The Name of the Star which is also fantastic.

I just reread A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels last month, and am in the process of reading A Sweet Far Thing! You should definitely continue on with the trilogy, because it's an excellent book series and Libba Bray never fails to impress me!
I loved listening to you try to pronounce some of those author names! The faces you made in the process was hilarious. My TBR (as far as GoodReads is concerned) is over 500. I don't mind, because I know it will never be a low number, never get even close to zero. Because books are always being written and always catching my attention. For every book I read and remove from my TBR, I add another ten, it seems.
DEATHLESS. I will always aggressively recommend that book. Always. So perfect.
