Loved this tag
Just got my HP paperback box set in the mail today. It's so gorgeous!
And I just ordered mine!
And now I have to go and buy the shock of the fall....
All The Light We Cannot See is seriously one of those novels that I am still thinking about. It was so beautiful and the writing was amazing. I totally agree with what you said about it.
I totally feel the same about summaries, I love a summary that leaves me with questions :)
I like summaries too, but I prefer winteries and springies.
i am OBSESSED with the knife of never letting go. it is my favorite trilogy ever !!!! so yes i understand how you love it
The knife of letting go is fantastic. Agreed, chaos walking is so amazing (but monsters of men tears me up so much
I just finished reading The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender yesterday. I absolutely loved it. I just thought it was so beautiful. I can't even begin to explain how much I loved it
I've been in LOVE with your upbeat quirky excited vibe in your recent videos!
"Once I've read it it's like what do I do for the rest of my life, I dunno" 😂😂 literally, ME after Harry Potter ended
I think buying those copies of the Austen classics is totally justified given how absolutely gorgeous they are !
All the light we cannot see is one of my most favorite books! It is extremely beautiful and well written :)
I swear every time this girl recommends a book i go out and get it. Her fav reads are always on point
THE RIVER OF NO RETURN :D For the record it totally lives up to the amazing cover.
Off topic: I just wanted to say I've come to the decision over the last several videos of yours, that this background is my absolute favourite (of every yt channel I watch)... its just so pleasant and doesn't distract to much from the actual content of the video, also I really really like maps so thats a bonus... but ya, just wanted to share that opinion :)
Yay! Thanks for doing my tag, Regan. And once again, I discover a book that I want to read on your channel. I never heard of S before. It sounds so interesting. I need it. NEED. As always, great video!
All the Light We Cannot See and The Girl with all The Gifts are so far my favourite reads this year. :)
I totally agree with you on The Chaos Walking Trilogy. You're actually the person that made the series known to me and got me interested. I listened to the audio books and absolutely fell in love with them and this series, so thank you for that. :)
You always have such good recommendations, and there are a few books you mentioned that I still need to get to but just really haven't had a chance to...like All the Light We Cannot See.
I read the First Fifteen Lives of Harry August on your recommendation and now it's one of my favorite books of all time. I've been telling everyone I know about it....so good!
Definitely going to pick uo the strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender
I saw those Jane Austen covers last week and I actually shed tears
I always love all the books you choose! You have such great taste!!!
I just finished the strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender yesterday and absolutely loved it! I actually got it from my birthday but wished for it based on your recommendation so thanks for introducing it :)
Regan I literally watched all of your videos and for each question in this tag I know which book you're gonna choose. Well that's kind of exaggerated but almost all of the questions. Almost. I really love watching your videos.
MARKUS ZUSAK IS A FLIPPIN GENIUS AND MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR EVER PERIOD DONE
I'm a sucker for beautiful covers, too :) Some books with really gorgeous covers I've bought lately are Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger and The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon!
Funny you mention All The Light We Cannot See! I am currently reading it right now!:)
God I love this tag! I recently read the Book Thief and it was such a great experience
The strange and beautiful sorrows of Ava lavender, is everything. If it weren't for your recommendation I probably never would have picked it up.
P.s. I just read Sharp objects by Gillian Flynn, holy cow. I know you really loved gone Girl because of the complex characters and awesome story, and I think you'll really enjoy Sharp Objects. The characters... Gillian Flynn is amazing
This tag is so cool. I think I would really enjoy The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender; I love magical realism. :)
So essentially, Harry August is the Doctor?
The first fifteen lives of Harry August sounds sooooo good!
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August is absolutely amazing!
The Book Thief!!! It's amazing!
S is great! I really enjoyed the experience of reading it. I borrowed it from a friend but I'm thinking about getting my own copy so I can experience it again. But we'll see.
I still remember your review of the knife of never letting go XD good times.
I was also compelled to read The Girl with all the Gifts because of the summary!!! But I haven't gotten to reading it yet. :)
i don't know what it is with me. but recently whenever i see any booktuber mention or show any book of the shatter me series, i just jump up and down in excitement. maybe because i am currently reading the series and i am seriously flying through it.
Just added The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August to my TBR. :D
I love watching your videos! You always introduce me to books I want to read, or remind me of books I have forgotten about :D Right now, I really, really really want to read S and The Shock of the Fall!!! Thank you for being the reason why my book collection expand every other month ^^ (and that my bankaccount diminishes, but that's another story :P )
I recently got all the lights we cannot see and i'm looking forward to read it!! :D btw you look so sweet without that red lipstick you usually wear. Always pretty
UR BOOK CHOICES ARE PERFECT AND YOU ARE PERFECT AND I LOVE U SO MUCH!!!!! UGH ♡
You got me to wishlist almost all of those books
S. was a cool read, but make sure you give yourself time to read it. It's a lot to take in! But it's definitely the coolest book I've read simply because of all the interactive stuff. Ava Lavender is high up on my list. Just need to get a copy already!
This video is amazing, as always! Thank you! 😄
S. was really intimidating to read, and I felt like the story of the actual book wasn't as strong as it could've been, that it was more a means to an end of a really awesome reading experience. I'd recommend reading the book story first, then read the comments in the margins in order of them being written (i.e., by the color-coding).
Okay The shock of the fall bit makes e wan to read that.
This is such a fun tag, I'm just uploading my own version! ^__^ "S" looks sooooo fun, I need that book in my life!
I'm going to be reading The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August very very soon!!
The Book Thief is my favorite book too (:
Ahh Regan, I recently bought The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August 😱 I haven't read it yet 🙊 but I hopefully will during the Summer Holiday 👍
Great video, I'm surprised I haven't heard of The girl with all the gifts before now, but it sounds really interesting and I'll be reading it soon! :)
I definitely prefer books with less of a summary so it doesn't give the book away!!
I always love your recommendations!
Loved this video!! I uploaded mine yesterday :) You had some real great answers for this!
omg you tagged me #honored. also we should read S together because I STILL havent read that one either! and i feel like it would be one i need to read with someone and talk about it.
The playing card in the Book Thief!!?!
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks so much for all these amazing recommendations, i immediately put a few of them on my goodreads to-read list :) and obviously you have by far the most beautiful box set of Harry Potter, I’m extremely jealous :D
Your vids are amazing and I can totally relate with you
I have looked at The Girl with All the Gifts so many times but just haven't actually read it....maybe soon
Oh god that card!
I had to read S. for my Future of Fiction class and I really enjoyed it, but now I am like, "ok I read it...what now?" Lol
Who doesn't judge a book by its cover?
Your finding the card in the BOOK THIEF was weird...I'm a little creeped out. Very meta.
I'm sorry but some of these books are cheating on you with me :3
I JUST REALLY NEED SOME OF THESE BOOKS, OKAY?
A monster calls
Lol unpopular opinion: i hated the book thief. I got about 200 pages in and couldn't finish it bc i thought it was really boring and the writing style annoyed me, it took forever to say anything or get anywhere and after a while i just didn't care about the story at all. Every book is different for every person though. :) love this video!
I loved the strange and beautiful sorrows of Ava lavender! Is there any other magical realism books you could recommend to me?
I use playing cards as bookmarks, mostly because I am too lazy to get a real bookmark, haha.
if you like magic realism then you should definitely read marquez :)
YOU ARE THE BOMB
I've reread the Harry Potter series multiple times too xD
The Book Thief
Did Regan ever get around to S.? If so, could someone point me to the video where she talks about it? Much appreciated.
I also don't like reading synopsis, I feel they give you too much, I just go with recommendations or reviews, or covers obviously haha . Great video, and choices although I don't like the background music hehe :/
The First Fiteen Lives of Harry August is so boring :( I've been giving it an honest go but I can't get past the middle part. I'm tempted to just give up, but I hate not finishing books so I'll just have to keep on going and hope it gets better.
Seriously creeped out by the playing card thing. DO NOT FOLLOW.
😀
Where did you get those editions of the Jane Austen books?
i got a question , How many books have you read in total ?thanks
I adore The Book Thief! Just did this same tag and instead used it as the beautiful writing category. Honestly one of my favorite books of all time. Great video!
I was also compelled to read The Girl with all the Gifts because of the summary!!! But I haven't gotten to reading it yet. :)
