- Petra performs "Destiny" live at the Farm Aid concert in Irving, Texas on March 14, 1992. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do? - Hudba
THE BEST BAND OF THE WORLD ... FOR SURE !!! Great Constellation of Members !!
By the way ... My Very Youth ... Saw them about 40 times or so from 1991 until today and in heaven as House-Band (Prayerlist) :-)
Muy grandes, Petra está dentro de las 10 mejores bandas del planeta
2023 y aún siguen rockeando en el nombre de Jesús 🙏🙏
Petra is the best example of a Christian band and i've been listening to C-music since '88
Anyone notice Louie's stick fly off at the last hit? :-) This is my favorite Petra lineup and Louie has had a great influence on me..
I'm not a christian but it is great to see that Petra was chosen to play at Farm Aid. With all of their work on feeding the hungry and the homeless they'be done over the years it makes sense. I just wish they would have chosen a better song. I saw in another video they played Creed which was great, they could have chosen something from On Fire, or another track from Beyond Belief would have been good.
I feel like this song song has a pretty demanding stage presence.
Mi banda favorita
Certainly the Christian rock band of all time...
Post more Petra if you have them! They are a great band.
It seems John's mike was'nt working properly at first
Brasil !!!
excelente
Ronnie was wayyy too loud in the mix for a sec 👀
3:50 Oops, drop the drum stick, hehehe.
Lawry needed a headset mic even though he never used one. He always sounded great when he was on his mic.
I love Petra, and saw them live many times. But I always thought they struggled in the area of background vocals.
If you mean when they are live, I have to agree. Petra is my favorite band of all time though.
sack the engineer, BG vocals are louder then lead
It's like Ronny Cates mixed it, lol
@@sarahingham8345 hahaha
Yes
I agree. Crummy mix, but tight performance. This is my favorite era of Petra, and they've had many.
Mui alto el microfono de ronnie cates😮
nao, es el de Bob Hartman
this was probably their first song guys. At a gig like this your first song is your sound check. So thats why the mix is so bad at the beginning.
I agree...
Good point
mui bajo el mic de John....
It's kinda akward that part where john lawrey has to take a little bit of john singing because maybe the mic didn't work so well😬
John messed up the lyrics..lol :)
Could be possible a more decent audio mix?
Schlitt's Mic too quiet, Hartman'ts mic = too loud + guitars = too low in the mix. John Lawry could be a Lead-Singer - sings like John S.
Mix on video is awful. But I love Petra!
@@michaelArrigo1986 Agree on both counts
That is Ronny's mic
I rather hear this good Christian music than the trash out there in the world
someone's voice sounds like he's has a cold
TURN BOB DOWN!
It was Ronnie Cates
that's bob hartman's flat voice
no, its Ronny's. Bob is away from the mic/looking down a lot. music is tight early on but the mic mix is a train wreck.
@@chinfuzzchet3616 no, its Bob
@@gustavoquintero7718 nope, that's not Bob's voice. It's Ronny's. Ronny's normally on key, so he probably couldn't hear himself here. Mix is awful.
Seee the other video of them doing Creed there at Live Aid. Ronny’s mic is up too loud there as well.
Bob's mic mixes are always quieter than the rest of the band, which is a shame because he actually sings in key. As much as I love this iteration of Petra, this era has the worst live background vocals, IMO, out of any Petra lineup. I think that has a lot to do with the production of the studio albums of this era. There is no way these guys could have mimicked what was recorded in the studio. I personally think the lineup from 81 to 85 (with John Slick and also with John Lawry) had the best live background vocals.
Lo único que no me gusta de Petra es que en vivo muy pocas veces sonaron bien
Poor mixing though. The bassist can't sing and his mic is hotter than anyone's
Terrible mix :(
Bass player cannot sing
He's singing harmony - should have been softer.
