Before i was born here in this world "Petra"started a journey to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ..but when I hear the song of petra i love all the song ... God bless you Guys..
Glad I grew up on these guys. They brought me closer to the Lord with their Christ - centered lyrics in their songs. They were definitely on fire for God!
That really brings back some great times, I do remember when this came out! I was sitting in a foxhole in Saudi Arabia listening to the Beyond Belief album my Mother sent me!!!
@@donmcc6573 I still listen to their older stuff. I just feel like they kinda lost their mojo after “No more hell to pay” Again this is just my opinion.
I remember watching this live (and I have it on VHS somewhere here); this was really the first time ever that the Doves had a rock band perform (back in the early 90s). It was the beginning of CCM as we know today. Prior to this it was (well) gospel stuff with a spattering of Amy Grant and a few others. After this, rock and all the forms we know today are all included and the crowds are definitely not uptight
Based on appearance, I'm guessing this aired in late '91? The band looks like they did during the Unseen Power tour in '92, and the album this song is from came out in '90.
I wasn't listening to Christian music when Petra emerged l am a NEW FAN of their music, performance and most if all...their POWERFUL MESSAGE.. The beauty and strength of the high tones of the lead singer (both John and Greg!!) makes each song they sing anointed with POWER....EXCELLENCE. in musicianship on every instrument!!!
I love this song... but why did they have to butcher it???? I hate commercialism, it always mutilates great songs... I was looking forward to listening the last part of the song... and all of a sudden it was finished... I just didn't like it...
I remember seeing this when it aired, the best Christian band in the world!

Always loved John Lawry's keyboard setup.
I think he may need 1 more though. 😲
Super talented band pulling it off live!
Greatest Christian rock band of all time, they will never loose the top spot. Impossible....
Loosen up people, they're the best you'll ever see...
Hartman, Weaver, Schlitt, Lawry, Cates caught lightning in a bottle for 6 years together. For me this was the best Petra Line up!!

Since I heard them for the first time in the 80's when I was a little boy, just was my fave band ever! I still rocking Petra on 2022!!!

This crowd needed to loosen up.
Benção do Senhor 🙌
Mi banda favorita desde los 6 años y hasta la fecha sigue siendo a mis 36 años..
Amen bro
La mejor canción lejos 💪
They always had so much fun playing together. But unlike Stryper, they knew when they had to end. Would’ve loved to see these guys live back then!
Have you seen Stryper lately? They are better now than ever.
Tim Staton This is just my opinion, I feel like the last great album Stryper released was “No more hell to pay”
Why the dig at Stryper?

Great band..
You don't have to go from AC/DC to Amazing Grace, PETRA PROVED IT
Best Petra formation ever!!!!!!
wish it was live though.
What an uptight crowd. 😁😁

Evey christian should listen to those lyrics.
I recorded this on vhs...wow I'm old😂
DID YOU CUT THE VIDEO
He’s under that hair somewhere
Lead singer looks kinda like journeys lead singer
At the beginning
hey - they left out the Bridge! not cool
They were requested to condense it for the Doves performance. I know, they probably didn't want to, but rules are rules, I guess.
Either this is actually tracked or just John Elefante's closing bgv vocal ...
Doves condensed back then...
Time conscious Dove Awards program. They didn't have much choice really.
What's wrong with this crowd ,so dead...
I do't think I see a single set of hands clapping!!! How horrible

They were ordered to condense it for the Doves performance. The original version was "too long," and they were told to make it shorter.
