We will continue to motor along with it!
Nice job good for another 70 years
Let's hope so!! Thanks for watching!
You are an inspiration to many do it yourself guys.. myself included. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. It's appreciated!
This car really looked like a lost cause after that initial revival video! Keep it coming!
The shoebox is looking better all the time. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!!
Great job on the floors. What an improvement.
Thanks!!
Great job, I look forward to seeing you complete this 👏👏👍👍😊
That will be quite a few more videos lol.
Hey brother you can’t be A SCARED to try shit. The road to success is paved with failure. I enjoy your dedication to the project. Thanks for not being a quitter.👍👍🇨🇦
I'm seeing it through to where ever it gets me!! Thanks for being there to watch!
@@madgingercustoms my pleasure
I used POR15 and this product looks just as good. Nice work! 👍😎
Yeah this stuff is impressive. Thanks for watching!
The floor is good for many lifetimes and long after we ALL have departed this earth
It will outlive me for sure!
The Sweet Patina Blackout LOOKS GREAT! as you showed us. Just think what the rest of the sheet metal will look like when move rearward to the back and trunk area. Great Work! You are inspirational. Thank you.
We are motorizing the bead roller and then we will do the trunk!
Sweet Patina Black Out rocks. Not the first time I have seen it. Glad you liked it. Love the build, and glad I found your show. Great work.
Thanks for watching!!
Nothing wrong with that floorboard.
You're doing OK for what you got. You're working with what you got for tools. And that's the whole thing.
You're doing fine.
Thanks!! I'm really trying to show people you can do this on a budget and learn as you go!
It’s definitely a improvement, it’s your car, do it the way that works best for you. Your doing a great job.
Thanks!
looks great! nice job on the floors.
Thanks!!
Good work.
Thanks!
That floor looks great !!! Will have to look into that coating!!
It's certainly worth doing!
I dig what you're doing and that tire changing rig was fantastic!
Thanks!!
I'm enjoying the effort you've been putting into your editing. They're becoming more polished with each entry. Oh. And I'm the guy who recommended the needle gun. And yeah, that would have been way too aggressive for your needs. I'm glad you found an alternative method that worked for you.
I bought the needle scaler!! I'm going to use it! I may need it in the trunk. Thank you for the suggestion!
Awesome! The petina looked great. Really coming together
I was putting a new trunk floor in my 1964 Chevy Nova when my heart packed in and I was no longer allowed to do elecric welding because my pacemaker. It eventually forced me to sell the car. I really enjoy the way you work understand how you arrive at your decisions. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching!
You're doing very nice job I've been on mechanic and body man for forty plus years
I appreciate that. We kinda figure out some of this stuff as we go.
Floor Looks Great! I'd wait & see about the trans tunnel You'll be able to play with it with the air shocks. The tip on the paint can I haven't done- learned something again! Thanks! Great Work!
Thanks for watching us!
the beadrolling on the new pans is darned good. Just as I'm thinking "you gonna seam seal this?" you say "I'm gonna seam seal this." Step ahead of me again. That's what I get for pausing and commenting before the end.
Not bad considering I have no idea what I'm doing!! Lol
Floors look really good. This old shoe box is going to look pretty good 👍. Keep up the good work.
Let's hope so!! Thanks for watching!
Looks very good, good work
Thank you!
Look at THAT ! Every video you do , the shoebox just gets better. I am still impressed with the work you have done and now, you are getting more views because you tried and were successful . Inspiring, that's what that is.
Thanks for following along!!
That's awesome floor that you did awesome video I enjoy watching your videos
Thanks for checking it out!!
I really enjoy your humility and requests for opinion. I'm of the opinion all 1950 domestic whatevers are the same, so you risk nothing by doing anything crazy. My current intention on my 1950 Dodge is a big ole tunnel. I'm not even lowering it, but the extra space will just make things easier. I'm not putting in a back seat and there will be buckets in the front. I don't know your final interior plans, but I hope I've left even a tiny helpful thought? Bonus information....I plan on running most of my switches etc. in ammo cans on the tunnel for a look and accessibility.
And 17:40...you crack me up!
Yeah I'll probably regret not just doing the tunnel now lol. Interior plans will be a simple bench and some door cards. Nothing special.
@@madgingercustoms I admire you're videos without regret. What's to regret? You'll just make more content. I just thought I'd shoot free opinion out there.
Love your work and variety of things but please don't put yourself down just get into the job at hand and do it the best you can appreciate you cheers from Oz
Thanks!! Working on 70 year old suspension now lol.
For a cheap paint option I use Majic equipment/tractor paint. It comes in several colors and doesn’t need primer. Tractor supply carries a gallon for $55. It’s extremely durable and has a nice shine. Don’t use it if it’s cold outside or it will dry flat. Your shoe box is looking sweet.
Thanks for the tip! I have a tractor supply close by!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching our videos!
Real nice job! Floors and Sweet Petina all look great! You're doing one heck of a job on that old rust bucket! When you are done, you can stand tall and admire where it was when you first got it home. I would not want to rip up the body to upgrade the drivetrain and make some kind of hot rod. A better reliable engine for today's highways and make a sleeper out of it! Your bodywork is coming out excellent the more you do.
Thanks for the kind words!
Hope you don’t need to modernize the drivetrain; that’s what makes this car so cool.
Now with that half of a quart of Sweet Patina coating do the bottom! Heck! I’d buy more and do the rest of the floor and chassis on both sides!
Oh they earned a customer with me!! That flat head runs and it shifts. I'm going to run it as is as long as possible. I need to get the water pumps replaced then get some time on the motor to figure out how healthy it is.
Nice job on the floors, seam sealers have come along way over the years and alot cheaper and easier to use.
I just use Rustoleum Enamel on floors and inside doors. Been using it for 30 plus years. Tough as nails and as a plus it fills minor holes from welding defects. The Patina products are nice.
Consider adding a plasma cutter to inventory if don't have one, it's a game changer especially on heavier materials.
Keep up the good work and love that car.
Fun fact. I own 2 plasma cutters and a plasma table. I don't use it in videos because I feel most people don't have one and I think it's important for guys to see you can do this with minimal tools. Trust me, I have tried really hard to stay away from my table and my other light saber. Death wheels and grinders!
Saw the short film and the floors look sweet mate!!
Thanks man!!
Damn I need that tool for beety. That tar or whatever was a btch to get off well still got the back end to do also
I can see now why Puddin loves that stuff so much and plugs it in every video!! Wow and that was all brushed on!! Should paint the whole car in that stuff lmao
Nice!!!!One of the first things I'm doing when I get mine back up front is reinstalling the engine and transmission. That will give you an idea about how much the floor needs to raise. I'm running a M5OD-r2, that should be taller than a 700R-4 or an AOD. I really like how that turned out. I may use the square stock Idea for my rear mounts. The floor behind the seat needs to be raised to clear the control arms so, my whole floor will be redesigned. With a 3" block mine seemed to have lots of room but I never drove it with the blocks installed.
Your bag set up is tight!!!
Awesome thanks for the videos
Thanks for watching them!!
Nice work on the floor replacement. First time I've seen that Sweet Patina product, and it piques my interest for a 66 Rustang project that I have. You mentioned being a TIG guy. There's a technique that Fitzee's Fabrication and Bad Chad use on their CZcams videos where they combine the use of old, steel coat hangers like filler rod while MIG welding. The MIG-like-TIG works great when just looking for a driver/rat-rod when the gaps to weld are more than a zip disk thickness or for small holes with some meat on the edge around it. Coat hangers and oxy-acetylene is the legacy of hot rodding from the 50's and 60's when there was no MIG for the DIY people. And the letters in MIG stand for Anybody Can Weld. The first letter in every word is silent.
Thanks for watching it!
I ordered a can of the sweet patina blackout for my sons truck. We’ll give it a try. It looked good how you did it.
I let them know you sent me.
Thanks Stan!
I don't know if you remember me but i watch all your videos but I'm the one that My Dad had a 50 Ford I was about 12 or so I'm 55 now and I'm am a macanice and your channel is alsome and I love that you are putting so much work in to the Ford but anyway I was thinking about you if you are going to keep it or sale it not because I want it just wanted to know because you are putting so much work in it but you are doing a wonderful job so just wanted to know anyway love the Chanel keep on keeping on
I appreciate the kind words! We are keeping it and plugging along!!
Alsome that's what I woneded to hear can't wait for the next videos keep them coming

Thank you!
Looks awesome! My first video i see, and I will subscribe :)
Hope you like the videos!! Thanks for watching!
Ya ol Puddin can't say enough good things about the Sweet Patina products , I may try some of that in my truck floor . Nice video , and I just subscribed!!😊
It ended up being way better than I expected. I'm a fan now.
Nice progress buddy!
Sweet Patina didja right!
Thanx for a great vid!
Got a PO box yet?
No PO box yet. We were just talking about it though!
👍🏻💯🇦🇺⛽️love this model Ford 👍🏻
Swweeet!!!
Not paid to say this: Sweet Patina is only product I now use.
cool beans!!!!
Thanks for checking it out.
I am a new subscriber and started watching you work on the shoebox. Great job! It is fantastic to see what you are doing. Maybe I missed it, but how will you add to or check the brake fluid? That master cylinder looks too close to the floor board to get to the filler cap. Thanks and keep going on the shoebox! Love it!
I still need to cut the access hole!! I will certainly be adding though! Thanks for spending time with us!
That sweet patina looks amazing! Do they make it in flat or satin?
I honestly don't know. Click that link in the description and they have it all on the site.
I seen your English wheel? Have one just like and HF could not get me any anvil dies? Found some on EBay pricey but only ones I could find was for another wheel brand but works. Fl.2x710 sold by bestiny ? Don’t know if you want them but that’s what I did
Solid info. I found some on Amazon that fit as well. Thanks for the heads up!
Not sure l like the A piller welded solid to the frame. The frame and body flex will crack the welds. The body needs to be isolated from the frame with rubber mounts.
You are certainly correct though this isn't a resto. We are just trying to see if we can get it on the road in any capacity, cheaply.
When you're cutting the old floor pans out is it obvious where the braces are from the top side? Are they spot welded and need to be drilled or how are they attached? I'll be starting on the floor in my '49 club coupe soon but I haven't gotten into it yet
It was not obvious from the top as far as I could see. Mine was all pretty well rotted out though.
@@madgingercustoms thanks for getting back to me. We'll see how it goes
What is a vibrating header deal?
Scraper blade.
sowhat if you make a mistake, other people are sitting on there buts, judging!!! i say nice job!!!!!!
I don't feel there are mistakes doing this kind of work. I know everyone wants to see a factory resto but this thing was 1 step from being crushed.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro vehicle lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Leave it standard . Leave the drive line the way Ford built it. Just repair the original drive line . Parts are available . Or you just have another lap top juck car . 🤦🏼maybe little bit wider rims would suit it . 👍🏻💯🇦🇺⛽️. Plus twin pipes 👍🏻.
Hard to get wider wheels without cutting the wheel wells out and we just put new tires on the painted wheels. It should be cool.
Air shocks are pure crap 💩
The guy I got them from didn't like them but they are new and we are keeping the price down!
