It was lunchtime-- my sophomore year of high school-- the day before the big homecoming football game. School spirit was at an all-time high. The Warriors were rallying as they prepared to face their rivals; The Panthers. I sat atop the bleachers surrounded by my peers. It was complete bliss. Surely nothing could spoil this moment. That is, until SHE came. I had only met her a couple days prior to this moment. Her name was Leah. She only knew me as "Homeboy." That's what my friends liked to call me. For reasons unknown, she grew somewhat of an attachment to me. I thought she was nice. There was nothing particularly special about her except for the fact that she had shown genuine interest in me despite the fact that she didn't know me. I wasn't much of a "Tryer" back in high school. I don't say that to sound egotistical. I just never really had to try. Some may have even called me easy.
So there I sat; milkshake in hand, when from a distance I noticed Leah's friend prancing excitedly in my direction. I knew what was coming. She approached my seat, looked me in the eyes, smiled, and said, "Homeboy, Leah wants to know if you'll be her boyfriend." I smiled back and said, "Yes." She turned around, disappeared into the distance, and moments later returned with an absolutely ecstatic Leah, whom of which sat beside me and proceeded to rip my milshake from my hand and eat the entire thing. Most people would see this as a "Normal relationship thing," but I was furious. I was a broke and jobless high school student who was treating himself to a milkshake that I purchased with my fifteen dollar monthly allowance. It was my last five dollars. I wanted to enjoy it, but Leah stripped me of that pleasure.
I lived a thousand lifetimes in the remainder of our lunch. Thirty minutes had never felt so long. The lunch bell rang-- we hugged and kissed and said our "See you laters," and returned to class. We only dated for two weeks. I broke up with her because I couldn't get over the fact that she had eaten my entire milkshake. You may call that petty. I call it justified.

oh my god, I have a story too. So I was dating this guy in high school and my bros and I treated him to a twins game and we stopped for dairy queen after and we each ordered blizzards. My oldest bro likes reeses, my bf got triple chocolate, I probably got cookie dough, and I don't know what my 2nd oldest bro got. But when it was time to pick up the blizzards, my bf literally stole my bro's blizzard and he got stuck eating this triple chocolate treat and he was so pissed. my bf didn't even realize what happened, but my bro has never gotten over that moment. long story short, that bf and I are no longer together (all because of that blizzard) lol.

I can relate dude. My very first "relationship" in highschool lasted all of about 6 hours. We hooked up early in the day. And by lunch time she was avoiding me then has her friend come over and tell me "it's over" More confused than hurt at the time because I thought it was a joke or something else going on. Then I found out about a month later after she and I got together (if you can call it that) she went and told her friend who responded with "OMG your with HIM?!?! EWW" Apparently that was all it took for her to change her mind. lol I guess she had an "image" to protect.

I'm 26 and I don't have a licence. Back when I was 18 (the legal age to drive here) I had quite severe anxiety disorder, so I would have an anxiety attack pretty much every time I made a mistake while driving, so I never passed the test. Now the disorder has gone better, I have an attack maybe once in three months and I can control them better. But now I don't have the money for a licence. (My parents used to pay for my lessons and tests until I moved to a different city to study and decided to quit trying.) I intend to get one once I have a full-time job... Since I graduated 2,5 years ago, I've had part-time jobs and now I'm actually going to study again next fall. It has been a slow journey from my most depressed & anxious years (starting when I was 7-10, at it's worst when I was 18-21), but I'm proud how far I've come.

I lived in the heart of Boston 90% of my life and all my friends with cars got everywhere super slow and stressed out as well as wallet drained for parking spots and gas. We would make plans and I would take a bus for a buck or two and make it on time. My friends with cars were always late and pissed off. I live in Maine now with a kid on the way. License at the end of the month. Driving here is fun
