Would have loved to have heard it...
The most useful pedal I’ve ever used. I use it pretty much all the time for getting fat tubey bass tones for the soul and reggae music I play most often. I don’t use it for the overdrive but it’s fun for rock stuff. I have done a lot of recording with this pedal (preamp really) and it works great for that also. I don’t use pedals much but I don’t want to be without this one.
Spot on review. I got one. Love it.
just got one 12/21 and I pretty much have it set for the SVT tone and run it into my effects return.. only utilizing my amps class D power section.
it’s a keeper along with my LL Baggs Stadium DI
I'm getting one of these very soon!
Great pedals! One of the best in the analog realm IMO! T
Now that I own this pedal, I can confirm that it sounds fantastic. Great range of tones, useful features like cab simulator, "bite" button and the overdrive feels like it reacts like a valve amp (to boost pedals).
So helpful do you plug into 2 inputs on your interface 1 being wet and then the other being dry and blend them before or after mixing thank you
Is that you playing the bass in the background? That sounds super sicola. Do you have a CZcams channel with your music?
more versatile then the similar Darkglass ultras? Maybe because of the nature of the saturation is more useful on this then the hard edge distortion on those?
I bought one 4-5 years ago and use it everyday! I can get a very convincing JJ Burnel tone out of it, using the neck pickup on my Jazz Bass (DiMarzio Model Js). Added a Tech21 YYZ recently, just to get a different flavor. The Darkglass stuff is great too, just not my type of tone.
I’m after that JJ Brunel tone myself, what setting are you using?
Do i get a ,,modern" metal tone with it?
Or ,,only" SVT style tones?
So do you place this last in the chain on your pedalboard? I do. Treats it like an amp.
Yes, when I use it! It’s now in a bit of a sorry state having been used and abused so much, but it was my original “amp on the board” style pedal. T
super informative, but no demo?
that was a sad shocker
Hey Tyler, i'm between this and a b7k for a clean modern preamp/di, which one would you recommend me?
Modern is the B7K every time! T
@@TylerSpicer Thanks for the answer, i love your videos! i think ill try the trial vst version of the b7k then ill decide
@@IgnacioLavalle sounds like a plan! My personal take would be to grab an HX Stomp for that purpose as it will give you the B7K as well as the option to craft the tone with any other blocks! T
@@TylerSpicer Yo tyler, i actually decided for the vt bass, and bought it but they shipped me the deluxe version, do you thing the deluxe version is better? i mean it doesn't have a blend knob but has a more stuff
Can you switch the drive off/on while leaving the IQ on? Or do you just have to use the drive nob?
Sadly not - it engages the whole circuit…
@@TylerSpicer thanks Tyler. That’s a real shame I think.
Spaceman effects Redstone and Apollo VII
How to not talk about a pedal. Play the damn thing.
