    I've used one of these on every gig and recording session for a good few years. It's an indispensable 'always on' pedal for me. Mine was second hand!

    Such an overlooked pedal! I have one for 7/8 years and never left the pedalboard. I mostly use it in the end of the chain as an always on pedal to colour the sound and add dinamics (from clean to overdriven) just with how hard I play. Also used multiple times for recording.

    Excellent pedal. I originally got this pedal for the overdrive & then my band started practicing ampless & using in ears. We played a gig & got to experiment with going ampless & going direct to the pa & it sounded great.

    Very interested in this demo. I grabbed my TC Spectradrive to compare it. I've never used it live, but I always use it for recording without an amp. It's works pretty well. I guess mine is a SansAmp rip off with a few extras, but you can pick one up used for under £200 nowadays ⚡

    HI it is important also to understand that you don't really have a cabsim knob to engage it on that pedal, it is just that you can disable it. Because every SansAmp have a CabSim (and only the one with that speaker knob can disengage it)

  • @jobbo89
    @jobbo89 Před rokem +1

    Why would you want to add +10dB to the mixing desk if using 1/4" out? And why the opposite for DI?

    • @meisenman
      @meisenman Před rokem

      From the user guide:
      1/4” Output Level Switch: +10dB boost to match the output to equipment with different input level requirements. Disengaged (up position), the output is -10dB. Engaged (in position), the output is 0dB.
      XLR Output Level Switch: -20dB pad to match the output to equipment with different input level requirements. Disengaged (up position), the output is 0dB. Engaged (in position), the output is -20dB. [I use it like a line-level/mic-level switch; disengaged/engaged, respectively].
