THE Rickenbacker review.

I hate that every Rick bass video always has to mention the same 3 bass players that used them. Makes me think that people’s music awareness is very small. EVERYONE has used a Rick bass!!

12:46 an even better bass for sitting on the couch and messing around is a Hofner. Since it’s also super playable but being that it’s hollow it’s way easier to hear unplugged

Would've needed this yesterday, before I bought mine :D In the end I got the B7K v2 Ultra, so the bigger brother of the one you had here. Fooled around with all of these from the list at the music store for several hours, and I kept circling back to the B7K I was eyeing the Helix after playing through my friends, but I just got overwhelmed trying it out

What would you say about classic vibe 70s jazz?

I cant believe you misspelled Ibanez so many times! Jk lol They’ve been my personal favorite for around 22-23 years. Tbh, they’re the best bang for buck imo and the most comfortable to play. I’ve had so many other brands crap out in my but my Ibby’s keep going. I’ve even had Schecters and the switches and pots always crapped out after a couple of years, if that. So i just sold em off. But all of my Ibanez basses ranging from $150 to just above $1,100 have all served me well for many years.

Thanks for your review on this 50’s precision. I have been looking at a few different CV’s , 70’s Jaguar, 50’s P bass, 60’s precision, Sire P bass, and Glen Hughes Orange Purple Gibson stylish body Precision bass.? My wife liked the fifties Precision best overall. I have been on the fence about these basses. But mostly the P-bass.

Why don't you let us hear both basses? The tuners are totally different on the Vintera btw! Completely useless video.

Thanks for demonstrating the tone controls on the Fender P bass..., tone knob settings back to back. I am a complete new-bie and it definitely helped me to understand the different settings. It is a very nice instrument.

That is in fact not how the Rick-o-sound works. You need a stereo (trs) cable.

Thomann/Sire is making and incredible line up of Custom styles of basses in 2024. I have owned many many hi end basses but now a days you can get hi end mass produced basses with real custom botique sound and playability for a third of the cost of a F Bass, Fodera, Erick, Jerzy Dzrod, etc.

I'd pick the Fender at this point, my Ampeg BA-110 has the whole pedal as it's own Preamp and the Scrambler as well. It's spot on Ampeg Tones. The Fender seems like a very useful device. Maybe when I venture out to play with others I can get the Ampeg to take my sound anywhere, since I already have the Ampeg as my base, bass tone. My Ampeg amp doesn't have the hi and low switches though. I'm fairly new to bass. Barely over 1 year of lessons and practice. I love it though. I dig your channel, it's produced well, no nonsense and to the point informative. I liked, subscribed and smashed the bell!
