  • The SRP Pedals by Moza Racing are the least expensive Load Cell Pedal set on the market. At $179 starting point the pedals offer a 75 killogram load cell and offer the first upgrade step for sim racers.
    Moza Racing has come onto the sim racing scene with a ton of new products. At first this was the super high end only, but since then they have focused on the mid level market of sim racing.
    The SRP Pedals from Moza are a very budget oriented load cell based pedal set that gives sim racers a new option for affordable gear at their feet. The pedals come in a F1 style with 2 pedals or as a 3 pedal set including the clutch.
    In this video Shaun Cole of The Simpit gives you every last detail and piece of information there is to know about he SRP pedals from Moza. He also takes them out on track and lets you know how they perform under the rigors of sim racing. Can these budget minded pedals hang with the big boys?

    People are so use to spending thousands of dollars on sim racing gear. It's nice that Moza has a good quality of loadcell pedals for such an entry level price. It shows you that we can really get good hardware for a lot less than we are use to. We really need more of these products in this price range. Even though it's basically a CSL Pedals clone it's good for those that don't want to enter into Fanatec eco system.

      @labpong7562 Před 2 lety +2

      What about someone not wanting to get into the Moza system? You see it does not matter if you get these or the csl pedals....you can use them in any rig no matter what wheel base you have. So there is no proprietary system to be locked into or out of.

      Yeah, I went with these. Fanatec lost my business by sending defective CSL pedals. Moza has been nothing but awesome in terms of quick responses and the time from order to delivery is actually pretty impressive. Now if fanatec could get it together and send my my return stuff that’d be great lol

    Thank god another option for reasonably priced load cell pedals and direct drive wheel bases. MOZA won’t have to try too hard to be better than the lack of customer service from FANATEC.

    This is good stuff, and the market needs equipment like this. Having somebody (likely a newer sim racer) switch from potentiometer pedals to a load cell, while giving them a 50% threshold "feel" will let them get up to speed quickly. Chances are they won't have the best low-pressure finesse or trail braking at that stage, so it's sort of a perfect product for "Johnny's First Pedal Upgrade" (a new children's book series coming from OG Cole).

    • @PresidentScrooge
      @PresidentScrooge Před rokem +1

      I think you underestimate how quickly you get used to it. When I switched from my Thrustmaster T300 RS pedals to the Fanatec V3, I very quickly adapted to it and got quicker in the process. And then replaced the Fanatec rather quickly, because they weren't good enough for what I want.

    20:30 - The easiest way is probably getting a blank of wood thats long enough that your chair stands on it while the pedalplate is attached to it. Your own weight will keep it in place. May even figure out a way to attach the wooden plate to the chair and then detach it after.

    Note that you can make the Brake pedal a LOT stiffer with the SR-P Performance Kit. I tried it a few days ago, and it feels very firm, like a true load cell. And with that price it's totally a steal for what it offers. :)

    Great and thorough review, thank you! I'm looking to finally switch to load cell pedals after a few years of simracing, and Moza seems like a bang for the buck. Do you have any comparison between those and the CSL LC? Which ones do you think are the best on budget? Another question is do you think the $15 accessory kit is worth it, or is the stock setup good?

    Hey any idea what's up with the mismatch of the pedals with the image on the boxes? The face plates are obviously different, as well as the bottom plate (The Moza Racing logo is printed on a different place, as well as a missing "lip" at the end. I've found a good deal for these online, but the images shown in the listing are those images printed on the box, not like what the pedals actually look like. Thanks!

    These, the SRP pedals, do have 16Bit resolution, I know. Which is good.
    Question: Do the higher end CRP pedals have the same (16 Bit) resolution for each pedal, or were they still on 12Bit (4096 steps) 'only' ?
    Just couldn't and cannot find any answer to this particular info on the CRP pedals anywhere in the net.
    [12 Bit = 4096 steps is probably by far enough as well, but I'm just curious about getting 16 Bit res. (like the Asetek,...) :).]

  • @messiahshow
    @messiahshow Před 6 měsíci

    I think their next step up is ridiculously priced for what they are though. These are alright I just wish they gave the throttle some love as well with some tension solution or do you feel there is enough tension in the throttle?
    Another thing that would be nice is to show without talk and music etc how they sound, just use your feet so us viewers interested in buying can get an idea how squeeky they are or clonky when they go back in their neutral position. I live in an apartment and want a silent wheelbase, silent sequential shifter (the click is satisfying so not too silent but not too much either) and definitely not loud pedals because even I find that annoying, squeeky sounds is just a sign of crap quality to me on pedals.
    Thank you for another great review, I am tempted to pick up the R9 and these pedals but I am also looking at the Cammus pedals, will not be that much difference, have you tested them btw and are they good?

    I've yet to watch the WHOLE video (and I will, I just needed to fast forward to certain parts), but I noticed a couple of issues you may explain to me. At around the 19 minute mark I can see that the front of the pedals are mounted to the baseplate rather insecurely. I can imagine that they can be mounted properly, but for the purposes of a quick review it was not deemed necessary.
    The other question I wanted to ask was whether you had tried the autoblip feature which Moza have with the HGP H-gate shifter. Do you think this might make the clutch pedal redundant and unnecessary?
    EDIT: I did a bit of research. The autoblip feature means I do not have to heel and toe, but still have to engage the clutch. Useful for me - at age 63 I do not want to have to learn how to H&T!

    It's on sale right now. $159, $174 shipped out the door.
    My only complaint. Is I wish they would have just went with all spring weight on the brakes, much like Thrustmasters T-LCM pedals.
    The adjustments with the TM T-LCM are fantastic.
    I ended up customizing my SRP's with my extra springs from my T-LCM and got rid of the rubber boot.
    Also, fabricated a longer brake pedal so its longer much like the gas pedal.
    Also, used the clutch spring from my T-LCM's and put it on the gas pedal for more resistance making it feel more realistic.

    • @vikingkombat9389
      @vikingkombat9389 Před 5 měsíci

      Yes if you can afford it. You will never want to go back to normal braking pedals after using load cell. You will only be happy with load cell or want to upgrade to hydraulic. These are also better than the Fanatec CSLs. However, the Thrusmaster T-LCM's don't look as nice.I do like them more. However, their customer service sucks and they won't even sell me a replacement loadcell. And if your using a Logitech wheel, just upgrade to a belt drive or DD. The Thrusmaster RS300 alone is 5 times better than the logitech wheels.

    The biggest drawback for me is the lack of brake adjustability. If you race GT cars and open wheelers, you might not be happy with a 2 stage brake pedal. Even on the aged TLCM pedals you could use 2 sets of red springs and the washers to make the brake single stage. I don't understand why Moza makes the brake 2 stage by default, many people on the PC aren't driving street cars.
