  • After reviewing the Moza R9 Direct Drive wheel base and GS Steering wheel back in May, we honestly loved what Moza brought to the sim racing table. While those products could stand up against some of the best in the business, one of our few gripes was that there weren’t any other products available as more "budget-friendly" options.
It’s only been a few months since that review, and now Moza has launched a brand new wheel rim, the Moza CS, and a brand new set of pedals, the Moza SR-Ps. Both of these still stack up on the market at a higher price, but in comparison, they can also be considered “entry-level” or “budget” options within the Moza ecosystem specifically.
So, uh, thank you very much Moza for watching our previous review. hearing us out, and giving us exactly what we wanted, all in a few weeks’ time. Great effort and we're glad to help! We may have a few more suggestions for you in this video as well…
John Munro has got his hands on the new Moza products up in Traxion Towers and he’ll be giving his feedback on both the rim and pedals in today’s video. How does the new rim stack up against the other Moza products that we’ve tried? How about these pedals, are they a decent take on load-cell pedal technology? We’ve got those answers and more, so stay tuned and keep it pinned.
Moza’s CS Wheel Rim runs for $279 or about £230, while Moza’s SR-P Pedals will cost $218.90 or about £180. What do you think about these new deals from Moza Racing? Let us know what you think down in the comments!

I've just received my R9, CS Steering Wheel and clutch pedal. Just need the other SRP pedals to turn up so I can get everything set up and running to see for myself. Seriously excited to get racing with them now though. Thanks for this video, it's made me feel good about my purchase.

@@martinwebster8702 Yeah I got them on Sat just past got them mounted to the rig but not had a proper chance to use them yet. the brake is solid to push compared to the logitech ones before. Gonna need to do a bit of leg day haha

Well, they are actually making an F1 steering wheel with a screen on it and publish it on Aug 30th, which is smaller compared to the GS steering wheel

So what pedals would be a notch above? I am seriously considering the base and the wheel as they appear to be a great starting point, but I don’t want to ruin it by subpar pedals.
EDIT: Compared to Fanatec CSL and Thrustmaster T-LCM they still seem to be a lot better in terms of brake pedal customisability. I don’t know about any other alternatives in this price range…

How does the load cell compare against fanatec csl lc? The one which comes for 200$ (like in the video)

So I'm still on the Fanatec CSR and CSR elite pedals. This seems to be way cheaper than what I was going for with the CSLDD and Clubs port v3s. Would you recommend these pedals over the CSR elites, or are they essentially a lateral move despite being so old?

i have not used these pedals only mozas more expensive CRP pedals and no not worth the upgrade, i would rate them in the same category as the thrustmaster loadcell pedals (in terms of actual use) , sure they are made of nicer metal and stuff but they are not good pedals

Interesting that you point out the disadvantages of a larger wheel. I was under the impression that having a smaller wheel would make the sim feel more toy-like given the the wheel in my real car is closer to 14inches. If you want a smaller wheel, the es is always an option

I think it’s a personal preference thing more than anything. A lot of high performance race cars such as single seaters and prototypes have fairly small wheels, then again other bigger cars have big wheels. On a personal note I think the Moza wheels are slightly on the large size to feel really comfortable when driving, but I must admit I do get more used to it the longer I use it for. The other wheels certainly feel smaller than ever afterwards😂 I’m sure some people will prefer the bigger wheels for exactly the same reason as you describe. And since making this review, the ES has filled that gap in the Moza ecosystem. They now have more options than ever!

@@TraxionGGfair enough, being that this setup would be first ever sim setup, is this going to be good for me? I’ve always loved racing games and have been playing on a controller. This left me feeling like I lacked a lot of the modulation/control and immersion that a sim setup would give me. Not to mention some games like ac are borderline unplayable with a controller. I’ve tried a g29 which was super fun but it felt like a cheap noisy plastic toy. Looking for a setup that wouldn’t leave me craving an upgrade right away and the setup you described fits my budget. Would I be just as happy with an r5 for longer than I think? The pedals that come with that kit give me the most pause since they don’t use a load cell but it seems no matter how much you spend, there will always be some drawbacks. Wdyt?
