I have simplified my engine a lot for track purposes, but the major components remain unchanged. If it's your first time removing an engine, make sure to double check everything before you hoist it all the way up. Chances are, you might have forgotten to unplug something.
Have fun DIY!

I just bought my first e36 project car and this was super helpful! Looking forward to learning more. Subbed
congrats! Have fun!
nice vid bro. helpful for when i pull my b25 and put a b28. why did u remove the steering shaft splines to pull the engine?
Any chance you’d be willing to make a breakdown of the different tools and sockets needed for each job you did. Super helpful video. But wanted to ask since something like that would be helpful to be organized in the process
I'll try in the future videos. I've done a few for simpler jobs, but since I just wanted to get this done, I just went for it.
How to assemble carburetor in take on e36 engine
Hey great video man! I got a quick question. I seen you unbolted the guibo{flex disc} but not the bolts for the center support bearing. So does that mean that you were able to pull the motor with the gearbox without dropping the driveshaft??
Thank you man! Yeah that's what I did, but my dumbass forgot to tuck it up before I push the car backwards, so the front half disconnected. Don't be like me lol.
you can also disconnect the center carrier bearing and the diff flange. that way you can pull the motor out with the driveshaft. I've done both, whichever way is easier for you. message me on ig if there's anything else i might be able to help, i reply faster there.
I have a problem with my e36 m50tu it does not start I have new spark plugs new gas pump and new sensors can you help me 🙏
Do you know what has to be done to fit M50B25 to a car currently with M52B25 other than the wiring harness? Im going to swap M50B25 turbo ready engine into my 323i so any information would be cool I guess.
Is it already obd2? Bc that would need to be converted and other than that it’s a drop in swap
@@Daveytoonasty My 323i is 1997 year model so I guess.
@@nikopalonen92 good luck on your swap I have a m50 nonvanos in my e36 with 223k miles still running strong
@@Daveytoonasty this one has only 160k but fully built for turbo.
Quick question, what would be different for an automatic? Taking out my m52b25 replacing it with a m52b28 and going to manual swap it as well.
as far as I know, auto engines and manual engines are the same, except for the obvious parts like clutch trans driveshaft, etc..
@@ricotheunprofessional copy thank you
@Jaiden Royal of course feel free to ask me anything
