    1999 BMW 328i - has 480k miles (no, that is not a typo) on original engine and transmission The car looks like it has 80k on it - always garaged and very well maintained. My goal is to get at least 750K miles out of it.

    01 E46 CABRIOLET 210000 miles and still going strong! Just did the carrier bearing the day before yesterday (power restored and noises stopped) I've had her manual swapped. Much more fun as a manual! I myself have done way too many upgrades and replacements to list. But after the first clutch wore out, I installed a single mass flywheel and stage 4 six pick copper ceramic clutch. It's actually a pretty fun little convertible! Only 2000 for it originally but now I am over 12000! It's just a passion thing now! I love my car!

    In Germany here, this mileage is considered as high mileage :D
    Some people are wondering if it’s a really a 24 year old car 😂
    My plan is to get it to 200k miles.
    Of course over here in the winter time, you need good cavity sealing.
    Took my time to rebuild the entire cooling system, which is very important to keep these things on the road.
    No issues.

    hey Gavin, great video! How's it going?
    Glad to see you're still taking care of that e36 as it deserves, well done man.
    Have a few questions for you though:
    1) Is that... is that an e30? Are we going to see something more on this channel?
    2) You thought about doing 0-100/150/200 kmh times? Especially before putting e46's transmission? Really interested to see (proven) benefits
    3) Dyno that e36 lemme see those numbers
    4) You ever thought about going for VEMS, MS? I thought a little bit about my car and it's about time to change all the sensors... But when i compare the cost versus going standalone, it kind of doesn't make sense? There's benefits to both but what do you think
    Cheers!

    • @TreatsOnTheStreets
      @TreatsOnTheStreets  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello! Yes it is an e30. I friend of mines. Maybe I could do some videos about it. As far as acceleration tests, because I live at such high altitude it unfortunately would not be an accurate comparison for what most would expect. We lose almost 14% power just from altitude here.
      I have thought about upgrading the ecu but I'd have to switch to OBD1 and would not be able to pass emissions here. Maybe someday 👍.
