Let’s talk about how you can get vitamin D without taking supplements and without the risks of skin damage from the sun.
Melanin is a pigment in our skin that helps block UV radiation. If you have darker skin, you have more melanin-if you have lighter skin, you have less melanin. The more melanin you have, the more natural protection you have against UV radiation.
Letting your skin burn in the sun can cause skin damage and increase your risk for skin cancer. Chronic exposure to UV radiation can decrease your vitamin A, alter your DNA, and create free radical damage.
However, if you can expose yourself to sunlight without sunburn, you can decrease your risk of cancer.
Nineteen thousand genes in your body require vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential to decrease your risk of viral infections, autoimmune diseases, depression, and high blood pressure.
Ways to help protect against sun damage and skin cancer naturally:
    • Consume foods high in vitamin C
    • Consume foods rich in vitamin E
    • Get plenty of folate, niacin, and magnesium
    • Do fasting
    • Get on a low-carb diet
You can also try homemade sunscreen if you frequently get a lot of sun exposure. Here is a fantastic DIY sunscreen recipe.
    Ingredients:
    • 1/4 cup coconut oil
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 1/4 cup sesame oil
    • 2 Tbsp zinc oxide (non-nano)
Mix all ingredients and apply the natural sunblock to your skin-it’s that simple!

      3. Spatial awareness.
      4. Almost random, Involuntary spasms.

Our family stopped using sunblock. I noticed my kids were playing outside for short times in the sun, coming in and out of the house. They never burned, they just continued to get tan skin. Over time, it would get more tan. So my husband and I did the same. By our first pool day, we didn’t get burnt. No sunblock. Just shade breaks. I also stopped wearing sunglasses, which I believe helped big time.

      @melissajackson9458 Před rokem +20

@@Davo198 I read somewhere that our eyes help determine how much sun is ok for our skin to handle. So if we wear them all the time, it messes with that internal filtration that we have. I’ve also noticed, when I don’t wear them, I feel better, mentally and my eyes seem to handle the sun better. One more great change I’ve noticed, is the color of my eyes is more vibrant. I have blue eyes, but noticed over the years that my eyes have been gray, not blue. Since I’ve stopped wearing sunglasses, they’re blue again.

@@melissajackson9458 don't mean to burst a bubble but 1. U will get tan but the damage is not apparent, eventually the damage adds up and u get increased risk of skin cancers and 2. The colour of blue eyes doesn't come from a pigment but rather from light reflecting in certain ways and so when u wear sunglasses the light going to ur eyes is less and so they appear less blue or gray

Dr. Berg is welcome to his belief! But he could also be simply stating the truth that human bodies have adapted to our changing environment… I simply give all the glory to God as my creator, the one who sustains my life through this world.
Our environment is becoming more and more toxic … The sun is letting off more radiation due to solar flares, we have more pollution, chem trailing, poisonous GMO foods, weather manipulation … nothing like the simple and clean life of hundreds of years ago. Our bodies have had to adapt (“evolve” if you will) to a lot of unnecessary external forces.

I still have hypertension but am no longer pre-diabetic. I also lost 48 pounds. I am fair skinned and have typically burned in the past, where now since hiking more and watching insects in the foliage it seemed to me that was the secret. being able to switch from sun to shade often .. but the ideal location seems to be straddling the edge. the exposure, radiation, temp is naturally diffuse. it bounces off the surrounding surfaces (which is why you can still get roasted in a t-shirt at a cloudy beach) results are healthier skin, better eyesight, less fatigue.
I have a cousin who burns because they are a red head, freckles, etc. recently told me their hair has now changed color (getting older). interesting.
the Irish have a lot of red heads, and they get a lot of clouds.
the darkest skin cultures are at the equator.
the in-between skin .. in the middle (except the inuit)
nature has dialed in the melatonin pigments pretty spot on, and thus when different skin colors are living in different locations they can def get deficiency issues and need to supplement.
def need to get my blood work on that done (then will explore more D3 / K2 concentrations)

Short consistent naked blasts to maximize your exposure without over doing it. With that said, I remember seeing a study that people who work as landscape gardeners had lower prevalence of melanoma than office workers, which is interesting as it seems counterintuitive on the face of it. However, not so much when you realise the outdoor workers are always exposed, and so they keep a tan and don't burn continuously, they have benefits of consistent exposure. On the other hand, office workers are indroor away from the sun most of the year, but then rush out on a holiday a few times a year and burn like mad, then hide from it again. They don't keep consistent exposure, and so get more damage and less protection over the course of the year.

Some of your old videos on Omega 3 to protect against sunburn made miracles for my skin. I think you made them in 2017. I used to burn within 30 minutes of sun exposure all my life until these videos of yours. Now I can stay many hours under the sun without any burn and my skin looks so much better too. Up to 35 degrees Celsius, that’s 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Italian type weather. I have seen best results with 3 tablespoons of cod liver oil a day (from cod liver cans). Since I have not seen another video of yours on using cod liver oil to protect one’s skin against sunburn, I wonder if you have seen undesirable effects or insufficient results from ingesting cod liver oil as an anti sunburn tool. ❤

I got burned a bit when I was a kid. Those burns have come back to haunt me with 3 basal cell carcinomas removed already in my 30's. Am 42 now and am having a small suspicious mole removed in a couple weeks as a potential baby melanoma. That said, I absolutely believe that SOME sun is crucial. I believe that the cancers I have had (all small and superficial by the way), have been the result of DNA damage as a kid. Since then I have been very careful with my skin and rarely, if ever got burned. I feel amazing after 10 minutes in the back yard getting sun, with bare feet on the grass and dirt. My diet mostly has been paleo, but recently switched to mostly grass-fed meats, some fresh fruits and berries, eggs, fish, chicken and zucchini, cucumber and mushrooms. Feeling amazing now. Hitting lots of personal bests in the gym too on my major lifts. So the extra protein is obviously helping!

Or if you want to do 100 Push ups but you never did any… probably not happening. Going outside in the Sun in Summer for the whole Day if you never did so before is most likely not wise… Even if you are trained its not wise in Summer honestly. Like… animals dont do it either. I believe it had something to do with the bad seen oils I used to consume. Also, making sure I get 20 min of direct sun in the morning helps me sleep! But now that it's going into winter this won't be an option now. Not sure how what to replace it with.
