- Eloquent, exuberant and wickedly funny, Mumbai-born and Singapore-raised media personality Anita Kapoor possesses an intriguing combination of nimble wit, curiosity and that rare talent -- the ability to instantly connect with everyone, from presidents and pilgrims to politicians, superstars and even sharks (ocean dwelling; true account). Her story is compelling: editor rockets into the public domain as winner of the Discovery Channel Search for a Singapore Host. Falls in love with the small screen. Jumps in head first. Goes on to conquer food, travel and adventure television. Pens her own radio talk show. Artfully commands ballrooms as an emcee. Continues to light up the small screen. Is a social media maniac. What sets her apart? Whether strutting the stage in stilettos captivating a roomful of glitterati or stepping off the back of a boat to face a "great white" in a diving cage, Anita Kapoor is an experience in verve and authenticity. And then, there's that gutsy unapologetic laugh. And disarming smile.

Soooo CRAZY how this was made years ago but still a massive issue in 2020
i barely see any of this on CZcams, thank you so much I think it’s important to educate myself!
Why is this not viral?? Everyone in the world needs to see this right now!!
one more point on female misogyny: a girl whose a pretty successful female artist cheated on me with my boyfriend. im an artist too and it left my social life in shambles. i called her out on it but i still think many feminists dont realize that engaging in that type of behavior is hypocritcal and counter productive.
Oh I have a story related to the Madonna thing. I don't care about sports and such so this was just her interview, performance past year of "Bitch I'm Madonna"
So I'm with an old family friend, she has kids my age, she she's older. She had a few snarky comments here and there about tv, fair enough to relieve stress. But she had a lot to say about Madonna. She's not acting her age, she needs to grow up, this and that. Maybe that's what they were always told, and how everyone else she knows acts, so it makes sense to her. But I question it. I said, so what? Why does it matter? Why can't she act like this? She is just living her life. This woman looked embarrassed, like she never really thought about it and didn't have a reason for her criticism, or that she realized why she did. Either way, I think people get stuck in a mindset and don't want to be different, they are afraid of ridicule, they are afraid of failure, so they take it out on others.
I think plenty of men and women alike actually have the same views on these issues. But the problem is moreso that nobody ever challenges them. You need to be challenged, because if you are wrong you can correct, and if you are right you can defend, and this is what makes society better.
why can't she have her opinion, though? To you Madonna's behaviour was fine, right? And to her it wasn't. So what? Just because somebody's opinion does not match yours doesn not mean they are wrong. Opinions are subjective after all. I am sure the old lady isn't objecting to women being on stage AT ALL, just the buffooneries being displayed by a grown woman. There is a limit to everything and her limit just didn't match yours.
Woman shouldnt be uplifting other women because of blind solidarity. If you are unhappy with something, you have every right to voice your displeasure. It is a basic human right which women didn't even have in the past.
@@Dancediva240 And the original commenter has every right to voice displeasure with *their* opinion as well. It seems that somehow when someone confronts someone's prejudiced opinions, it is somehow regarded as censorship by traditionalists or those who don't want to acknowledge their archaic beliefs but when it comes to them voicing their opinions---which unfortunately mould the pressures placed on both genders in society---it is simply 'their opinion' and they're entitled to voicing it without rebuke. Unfortunately, views have evolved and people have to face that certain sentiments are going to be argued when blared in public; if you don't like it then you're essentially stifling public discourse.
Exactly but I feel as though the world has gotten more violent . You can’t challenge everyone’s opinions because how they may react
She already said that what she may have said may be wrong, so at least she is aware. The phrase 'it takes two hands to clap' really comes into play in this topic. It's not always women, it's not always the men. I think it really is just the passing down of these traditional mindsets, and our stubbornness to change and be humble. This is a very wide topic so it is really hard to pin poit the problem. oh well. im only here to improve my gk LOL
The hope of the human race is to internalize this message and teach the next generation and the next. The bully and clan mentality was useful when we lived in caves. Today is a different world. It's time the human race caught up. This will be possible when we each change our own thinking. And women are essential to that paradigm shift.
In some parts of the world, gender determination is done before the birth of the child and girl child is aborted. Some girls are mistreated throughout their childhood if they have a brother, but their parents.
Society always treated men as superiors. And women have to bear with this. I think if women objectification and misogyny doesn't stop, one day there will be no woman left on this planet and mankind will meet its extinction.
@@sakshiag0506 men are aware that they need thier baby spawning machines, this is where female misogynists come in handy.
Sweeping generalisations and a lack of perspective from other women, in my humble opinion.
Exactly that.
I'm not so sure about that. To be honest my observations are there is no solidarity and there's a shitload of competition .
How humble of you
The first rule for equality is we are all equal and we are not each other's enemy.
I enjoyed this talk.
@Jakob Andersen why lol
Also why do so many feminists pick on me for wanting to be a homemaker? I just turned 18 a little over a month ago and I'm getting married soon, they like to pick on me for that too. I've been told constantly for the past 4&1/2 years (how long I've been with the person I'm marrying soon) that getting married so young and being a homemaker is like throwing my life away. I've always wanted to be a homemaker, why do people hate me for it?
Bro do what males you happy i recently turned 18 and i havent even got a gf right now but listen bro make sure u sign a pre nup if she loves you she wont care
Perhaps the folks picking on you may be expressing their concerns ? If you become a home maker at 18 and not pursue further educatoin and skills, you may be limiting your potential. Also not have a profession or skills puts you at risk. Marriages can end. Or if your spouse loses his ability to work, you wouldnt be able to step up to support your family.
Married at age 18 have a 60% divorce rate, but women who wait until 23 to make either of those commitments have a divorce rate around 30%. Statistically its not a smart move but there is always exceptions that make it.
@@hongkonghottie no dude, it was literally pointing and laughing and calling me names and stuff. That's not concern, that's just mean.
@Benny Bees better than my mom having a kid at 19...
Ive fallen pry to a little misogyny. when i see successful beautiful women in movies working in offices around men i feel jealous and frustrated even though its a movie. i had a bad experience in an office with both the women and men. i think the hateful comments towards madonna are from a deep seated resentment that the majority of womans lives arn't equal.
You are small minded.
I think men have always been good at knowing when to compete and when to unite and work together. Throughout history, people would have been wiped out by bigger beasts long ago, if not for that ability. However, when listening to my wife, she often complains that women just won't work together in the same way. Why is this? I wonder if there's a natural reason. It makes sense that women would be more competitive in order to ensure the survival of her children. So, while men work together to ensure the survival of the tribe, women compete to ensure the succession of her genetic line. Or, maybe I'm just totally wrong... I, for one, really would celebrate the day women did have a united sisterhood in more than just talk. I feel that sisterhood was more prevalent in the second quarter of the twentieth century, but seems to be non-existent, now.
It would be interesting to see if your wife makes her own money and supports herself. A lot of confidence comes from that. A study came out from the University of Bath recently stating many men start to feel psychological distress if the proportion of household income a women makes rises above 40%-in environments where women feel they must compete with each other for resources controlled by male partners, who may leave or become abusive to deal with the stress of a wife not being dependent (real examples there sadly), they may feel more competitive than if they support themselves. It is a myth that women innately compete-personally I am part of an absolutely beautiful extended sisterhood. All women support themselves, they all have amazing partners, and this mythical cattiness does not exist.
@@sechale I have seen similar studies, but not sure I agree entirely. It would make sense for women in a competitive scenario, but the comments I hear from my wife suggest they are more generally applicable. I, personally, am often too unobservant to spot it and need it explained, so I guess its subtle. Also, my wife is a full time mother. She did have a twenty year career as a professional dressage rider. Money and resources aren't generally a problem in my town.
Woman not supposed to compete with each other we are supposed to be pent up in a nice spot by some man that deems us to birth his seed and to compete with how many children and generations a man can get...its about legacy.
@@sechale i second that
Also though this may sound rude, unless as a woman you find a man of beautiful character, most people men and women have at least one affair during the course of their marriage that they admit to. If a man can still get it up after 45 and makes some money or is good looking, it is much easier for him to cut and run while feeling he has done the noble thing by paying for his children and maybe a small pension for the wife, which he won’t have to do if he forced a prenup. Then he gets to pursue the dream of having a round 2 fertile woman who btw will want all the same things as wife 1. But you know ... the second one “really understands me” ;) and they tell the second or third one the first was just a bitter hag. Women know this. Even as they hope they can trust you ;) not to make assumptions about you personally, am certain you are upstanding.
She is showing a good point!
I would like to see women just getting on with their lives, loving where they love and who they love and yelling loud when they get pissed.
she has incredible command of english
I feel like she is talking in riddles. I actually really don't understand what she is trying to say 7 minutes in.
She's making big claims like "99% of women said or think this" or "majority of executives in publishing companies are women", etc. but she doesn't provide any evidence. And that the they're all making those decisions in a vacuum.
She needs to work on that.
Humanist 💌 this word take my heart 💓
Ma'am who cares who makes the decision in marketing the real question is who owns the company and you already know the answer to that it's the majority of men
You are your own biggest enemy
She's generalizing af. And so, by her own definition she is a misogynistic woman.
She is right. And it's not generalizing. It's talking about an issue that most women refuse to talk about or admit. Even though it's really really harmful to women.
Woman just can't ignore each other. A patent fact. No sisterhood.
Still full realated to 2022
the pixels implies set's budget
Amazing talk, more women need to see this
The inability to take accountability is the most truthful statement made here.
Kinda like deadbeat dads, huh?
Promisimg title, but 2 minutes in i knew it was bs
YES OMG
Yeah
Heat hear. Presents a bunch of pop culture references, begs the question that feminism is individualistic and not a socialist/communal ideology. Then presents the conflict between two right-wing concepts, individualism and social conformity, as an issue within feminism, not what it is; the natural illogic of the modern liberal right.
I don't want to be the man who peaches to women about feminism but this is disingenuous nonsense
I'm a feminist, but don't want children and don't want to get married eitghter. You are misinformed about feminism and what feminist used to fight for. Today feminism is all about the right to give men boners, and than call that female sexuality. To be each-others competition (divide and concur). For the most part, I agree with what you say, but you don't seem to understand where this mindset comes from. Learn more about woman's history and feminism and things will become more clear to you.
And by the way, media is still in the hands of men, like all positions of power that shapes our culture.
What you are saying is what second feminists used to say. Modern feminism is misogynistic, and I don't agree with it at all. Good book on this subject: Beauty and misogyny : harmful cultural practices in the West, by Jeffreys.
+Emma De Zwaan , of course I meant second wave feminists.
Fuck feminism, it was a good movement back when woman couldn't vote now it's about how woman should be dominant to men and it fucking sucks get the fuck out of here.
Why can't women have an era where we be dominant socially? It's only equitable, seeing as how men did just that to our foremothers for AGES...don't like it so much when the shoe be on the other foot, huh, baby man?
loredelamor, perhaps you should go back to school and learn some grammar.
she makes her own clothes?
Feminism seems to be more about replacing men, than being women, and being equal. And of course neither side of coin is better.
The title should be female misogyny not female misogony
wholeuntomyself it is
