Potomac is way too toxic and triggering. I stopped watching after last season and the whole colorism convo. I do watch my favorite reviewers and the clips were enough to confirm my decision to leave that show over there.

I don't think that RHOP will ever be able to have a productive conversation about colorism because it starts with production. Robyn and Gizelle have coasted for years, and Gizelle gets a lot of undeserved recognition from Andy and the network. It's wild that this is the first season Gizelle didn't have first chair despite never bringing anything to the show. If Wendy and Candiace were as closed off as those two, they would be fired. Obviously they can't say that though, and I wouldn't trust that the producers would keep that in the edit.
It does feel like they get to be their Light Bright (TM) selves and arent expected to provide actual storylines.

Got a full hysterectomy at 32 the pain I endured for all these years I would have done anything its crazy I later found out that nearly all the women around me in my family had to get fibroids and some their uterus removed and NEVER spoke of it we have been going through it for a long time but this generation is talking about it
I think the colorism of RHOP is hard to ever shake truly bc its in the original conception of the show itself. We all know damn well that the producers on the show intentionally casted the show to be Black but with light-skinned and mixed race Black people in an attempt to look different from the women of RHOA. I think it would be FAR more helpful if the producers of the show were interviewed and asked what led them to cast women who look like Robyn, Gizelle, Ashley, Katie and Karen. The original "sin" of the show is casting, but the women take the brunt of the conversation and clearly it is beyond their ability to navigate it. In addition, I'm sorry, but also there is a lack of understanding of what colorism is and isn't with many people in the viewing audience.

That’s mind boggling! Candiace cried with Robyn JUST last season when Rob spoke about the death of her dear friend. Candiace and Robyn weren’t even on good terms at that point and no one said Candiace was making it about herself. She’s just an emotional person. I’m convinced y’all wouldn’t have echoed this nonsense if Gizelle didn’t say during the show. Y’all just don’t like Candiace.

That’s a huge problem in the black community amongst black women. Some of us pride ourselves on “never letting them see you cry” and ignoring your feelings. We don’t stop to take stock of the damage that does to a person and those around them.

I'm just gonna say this in regards to RHOP.... WE AS VIEWERS HAVE POWER! If we stop watching it, maybe they will take us serious. Gizelle MUST go! She's the ultimate vibe killer. I cannot watch this show again if they don't get rid of her. I already skipped this season until the last episode (Thanks to Mia) and for the reunion. But I have no problem skipping the next season too until she's GONE.

I may not like Robyn but, I’m still very much a girls girl, and when I see a marriage that is CLEARLY failing yes I want her to be free. And lonely? Miserable? Not at all, I’m happily engaged 😁. I feel your pain girl. I had a robotic-assisted myomectomy in December to remove a 3lbs fibroid and recovery was a time. You’re going to feel amazing once you’re recovered. I have my period now and it’s a breeze compared to what I’m used to. My only regret was not doing it sooner.
Wendy and Cadiace have literally never called any of the cast members colorist . But for some reason, I keep seeing the narrative that they are calling the GEB colorist… like , why are we altering reality to make up a a valid reason for Giselle to be hateful towards Wendy and Candiace? I feel gaslit by the GEB and their fan base . I can only imaging how C&W feel .
Honestly even if they felt it, I'm sure if they did Candiace and Wendy recognize that it would be career unaliving to actually come out and admit it (which they didn't). Think about how difficult they have made this season for them especially when they never said it.

I had a hysteroscopic myomectomy right after my 36th birthday last year. Having my hubby advocate and care for me through the entire ordeal was incredible. Good health is a miracle. Good relationships are invaluable ❤ wishing you a swift and complete recovery

I had an open myomectomy March 2022 when I was 37 years old and I'm much stronger now than I was prior to the surgery. I'm also a former athlete so I'm amazed at how our bodies can bounce back after such a major surgery. Same as you, I was able to walk fine and go up and down steps quickly after the surgery due to my doctor making me walk the halls a few hours after the surgery was finished. Definitely listen to your body but you are stronger than you can imagine! The worst part for me was getting out of the bed and standing up after sitting for a long period of time. Shoutout to my husband for helping me because whew chile lol. You got this girl!💪🏾😉
2:25 I agree so much. I am 2 years post-op (laparoscopic) & I share my experience with fibroids & my myomectomy whenever I see it as helpful because there is still so much information not out there for us.
I'm a health nut and had 17 cm, 11 cm, and 9 cm fibroids I had to have removed. Some smaller ones they had to leave bc too near my digestive system. Exercise almost every day. Eat super healthy. Still had fibroids 🥲🥲🥲🥲 but being healthy made the surgery recovery super smooth I won't lie. I was up and walking within an hour of waking up. I support your health journey but can't health your way out of things I've learned, extremely sadly lol
This may be TMI but do you use latex condoms as a form of birth control? My former OBGYN told me that using these condoms can lead to fibromyalgia.
@Silly_u1908 no, I got an IUD when I first started going at it lol, and was with my boyfriend at the time so we didn't. Then after breaking up, bc of the IUD, I was quite reckless and didn't use them with the next few partners either. But I developed very early and had heavy, painful periods which is a warning sign. I should have gotten hormonal tests when I was a kid for the symptoms which are now obvious to me. And begun preventative measures then.

Eclipses arent a once in a lifetime experience. 😂😂 We had one 7 years ago and there's another one in 20 years. Hope you get to see that one too. And yes, Candiace and Wendy ATE with their looks. Candiace has an incredible face card!!

I too watch Ready To Love - and have been viewing since Season 1. The quality of the cast has consistently gone down hill. It really had potential to now be low-budget, and it just dove right on in after the first couple of seasons. The signs were always there of course, but it really could have been saved. Sigh! In any case, I can't look away, LOL.
I'm glad you're feeling better... I went to the Deep Ellum art festival... I missed all the others it was so much going on in Dallas this weekend... The eclipse was cool too I went to the roof of my building had a great view...

Potomac isn’t fun to watch, no wealth or fashion, no real friendships, no light hearted moments. It’s done, the cast needs to be completely changed, as does production. For RHOP to still be like this?? Definitely no 🤚🏾 people behind the scenes.

Kimberly, pray that you never get old, if you're not careful that will be your neck. Because when you get older, you neck can go one of two ways, scrawny or flabby. That's it. BTW, Candace's tears for Gizelle's dad was making his death about HER. Candace is always about ME ME ME. Believe me, I'm older and I know a lot of women like Candace. Also, it seems that people have no problems with Candace talking about Gizelle....but that's because they like Candace.
Having sympathy for someone is not making a situation about yourself. Women like that are just nasty.
A lot of people dislike Candiace because she wants to be Gizelle's friend. Gizelle has stabbed her in the back so many times throughout the run of this show, and the only time she didn't forgive her was when she tried to insinuate that her husband was a predator. That's why I don't think Candiace's tears were fake, because she's been the green eyed bandit doormat for how many seasons now? Showing emotion for someone is not making it about you either. Maybe that's a generational thing though.
