The messages were also redacted... it's hard to know if the full messages would have offered more context-- it's possible they could reveal that he intentionally hurt her... one attorney offered an example of a potential scenario, in which that they had rough sex, and she was unintentionally hurt... maybe some embarrassment or even fear of the police would explain his reaction.

Her team was not able to prove he did what she accused him in this recent case. The messages were also redacted... it's hard to know if the full messages would have offered more context-- it's possible they could reveal that he intentionally hurt her... one attorney offered an example of a potential scenario, in which that they had rough sex, and she was unintentionally hurt... maybe some embarrassment or even fear of the police would explain his reaction.

I can understand why some people have a big problem with his tone on the voicemail--it can read as controlling. Others see it as him saying that he has worked hard to get to where he is, and that it's not out of line for him to expect his partner to support him (like Coretta or Michelle) as he has made sacrifices for the both of them. In context, he was responding to her coming home drunk after a night out, which she had done many times before. It's interesting that he's seen as controlling, yet he doesn't seem to be able to stop her from this behavior he finds problematic. Not sure why people are outraged over him using Coretta or Michelle as examples of the kind of partner he'd like.

It’s clear many have not taken the time to research the court transcript, what the “guilty verdict” means, and a simple analogy that’s been blown out of proportion.
