And when he popped up not dead again, he mostly kept out of the spotlight. Did some crime stuff, but didn’t CHANGE how crime was done… just changed which crime boss got paid. He did mess with the Mandalorian succession, but then they an Asokha captured him.
      On the other hand, he and Ventress were probably the only dark side users still kicking around, back then. Not sure if Palpatine had reincorporated yet. The visions were of dead people, after all. Or to come full circle to your point… they were people whom he had lost to the dark side. And he never had that kind of connection to Maul that he’d care the guy was dead.

    I think this Jedi blame shtick is little out of hand. Yoda can blame himself for Sidious' rise of power, but blaming himself for letting Dooku go his own way? Yoda trusted his own former padawan's decision and trusted him even enough to keep his old lightsaber. Jedi considered Dooku's decision to be midguided, but respected it regardless, trusting his wisdom and the path he had taken. How could they possibly know Dooku, one of the best Jedi ever, could possibly do something so irresponsible like joining Sith Lords? What Jedi were supposed to do when Dooku wished to leave? Say no to him in return? That's not very Jedish. For all their faults, Jedi do not force their members to stay in their order when they want to leave. Even Anakin could leave anytime he could, but chose not to because he believed in what Jedi should stand for: protecting the innocent from the evil of Dark Side.
    So Yoda can blame himself for being blinded by the light, but in my opinion not for his adult, former padawan's conscious decision to join Sith. It was Dooku's own decision and he paid for it on his own accord for being so enamored with darkness, and no Dooku's reason for it justifies it.

    Windu, the one that represents basically everything wrong with the jedi order and how it is tainted beyond recognition.
    Maybe a vision, a hallucination, but it certainly is accurate on how much of a prick windu is. I like several aspects of the story. A story of Yoda understanding the aftermath of his decisions and leadership and learning from "failure" is well justified, but I'm not sure the depiction in this comic is really consistent with Yoda's character. Perhaps the Yoda of Empire Strikes Back was depressed and grouchy, or perhaps he feels the way he does because Degobah is a dark side nexus, but I can't see Yoda being scared after the events of the Clone Wars show where he meets the Whils and confronts the dark Yoda; not after fighting Palpatine; not after going into exile.

So no I don't think he "felt" like he let down everyone during Order 66 he already knew there was a high possibility of this happening and all the Jedi council knew this as well seen in Season 6 of The Clone Wars It was just the fact of accepting that it came to past and you can't blame Yoda for order 66 as the Council knew of these discoveries of the Clones like Five's plot and of Dooku's confession based on AOTC and season 6 events.

    Actually if anyone Jedi is to blame it's probably Mace Windu. He's the one who suggested the Jedi seize power, he's the one who walked right into Palpatines obvious trap, he's the one who attempted to dethrone palps as Anakin pleaded with him that, "its not the jedi way", and if he had simply had a little faith in Anakin or literally done anything other than what he did do, order 66 probably wouldve still happened but the outcome for the jedi wouldve been far more optimistic. But Mace Windu like all the other Jedi had allowed themselves to be blinded by the dark side and thus walked right into Sidious' trap

      The comic is inconsistent as the Clone Wars already showed this and that was a better motivator for Yoda to keep his trust in the force and train Luke than a day-away event. This makes Yoda look like he's sulking himself and not being a good role model.

    Disney comics rarely get anything right. This is no exception to how wrong they are. Yoda does not seek conflict during his time on Dagobah. In fact, he admonished Luke for taking his weapons into the cave. Yoda knows combat in visions would not serve any purpose. This comic was poorly written.

    Ah yes because Yoda was ready to teach then went back on his word because Luke is too old seems a bit inconsistent lol. The movie has a more logical and realistic feel, not a comic made for money, and "adds" to a character arch. Seems like it makes Yoda have cold feet like a split-second decision, when Kenobi leaves Yoda is like nope I changed my mind I won't train Luke based on the actual conversation Yoda and Luke have in his hut lol

    • @mariodelgadogt
      @mariodelgadogt Před 2 měsíci

      You apparently don't know that it's very difficult to change the mindset of an old person, this happens everyday in life, Yoda is around 900 days old, in this comic we see he got this introspection but as in life, it's easier said than done, it makes sense Yoda naturally goes back to his old ways when he trains Luke and doesn't keep the focus of the new thing he just learned around 900 years in his life. Use logic man, this totally makes sense realistically.
      I can decide I'll be a better person today, then after two days of dealing with mediocre or terrible people I might forget the decision I made some days ago, now apply that to an old men of 80 years, and now to one of 900. It's obvious.

    • @calebwindham3698
      @calebwindham3698 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@mariodelgadogt Are You honestly going to say,"... it's very difficult to change the mindset of an old person..." referring to Yoda when literally he tells Kenobi I can not train him, and says he's too old to start, yes to old then literally in the next few frames Yoda starts training Luke LOL. Yeah because that was hard to change Yoda's mind because he's an old person lol. Take your own advice on logic. Star Wars is a story of motivation to be a better person, learner, and leader, whatever you can take from it that's positive not a story of being rude and miserable about yourself. Maybe you're the one who gives up too quickly, "after two days" That's sad hope you're not a leader for a job or group because of that poor leadership.
      What I am talking about is a Grand Master who knows the state of the galaxy and knows about Luke and literally tells Kenobi in ROTS they will basically reveal themselves when the time is right referring to stopping the Sith and that includes training Luke. Literally the point we see them in the OG. That was one of the reasons they even trained Luke to begin with. That was the mindset of Kenobi and Yoda because they had a job to do, all they could do was wait until Luke was ready to be trained to become a Jedi and that responsibility fell on Kenobi and Yoda. So I doubt Yoda forgot his job and the amount of responsibility he had hint hint he didn't because he literally does train Luke. Now maybe you like seeing this comic making it like he forgot that because of everyone's favorite mentality "poor old me" Sorry I don't agree with "poor me I'm so sad I won't do anything for myself or others because something bad happened to me" Honestly your being selfish at that point throwing away your responsibilities just because you feel only for yourself. I doubt Yoda did that all those years because he had a plan since ROTS.
      I know you may like this "stick in the mud" for Yoda and the Kenobi series but that's not how great leaders are leaders can't lose their faith in what they believe in or themselves or what they are fighting for because if they do what's the point in believing in their teaching and their values if they won't show that themselves. And if you say, "Oh well everyone messes up eventually and stumbles", yeah what do you think Kenobi and Yoda did in ROTS they admitted they lost the battle but didn't give up on stopping the Sith. That's different from sulking about yourself like this comic makes Yoda do and from what the Kenobi series does. This mentality teaches people to be pathetic instead of picking themselves up admitting their mistakes and correcting themselves. And if younger people recognize their idols being sorry, lazy, unwilling, people that's what they'll hold onto because as you demonstrated it's easier to complain "...after two days of dealing with mediocre or terrible people..." than to actually take responsibility. Don't lift yourself up thinking your smarter or a better person because you think you have to deal with "mediocre or terrible people" because based on your logic there are more people who have to carry your slack more than those you consider "mediocre and terrible".
      Plus Yoda is a character, not a realistic figure he is the wise master figure that a lot of people look up to in so many good stories he's not a realistic figure of age where "oh yeah he can't remember anything that he says". Star Wars is a fantasy that is used to show great characteristics that encourage people not to be a stick in the mud, but not to Keep being "I can decide I'll be a better person today" That should literally be every person's mentality, but like I said sounds like your, not the best "leader" figure and being petty for yourself.

      Too much text men, not time for that much drama, anyways, you call this inconsistent with Yodas character, guess what, is from an official source, whatever opinion you have or I have, the fact is what we are looking at the screen, thats canon unless Disney says the opposite. This is consistent in Yodas canon. Period.
