Spark Plug and Coil Pack Replacement Guide | Porsche Boxster (987.1 and 987.2) (2005 - 2012)

Here's a guide on how to replace the coil packs and spark plugs for the 2005 - 2012 Porsche Boxster (987.1 and 987.2).
Old and dirty spark plugs or malfunctioning coil packs can cause misfires and performance issues. Replacing the spark plugs is a required maintenance item.

Thanks for producing this job instruction. I lost two of my coil packs using a battery charger a couple of years ago. I'm retiring in a few weeks and will finally have time to enjoy my Cayman. Advice note: Never ever use the start engine setting on a battery charger.

I did this exact same thing last year, cleared up a misfire, and it ran great for a good two weeks before fouling again.

No. I wouldn’t try to start the car though. 😛
