Good stuff thanks Broski
Any time!
Very helpful, thank you!
trying to help save that hard earned cash.
Spent $4k to have Porsche do what you're showing, which seems not too difficult. next time.. Thank you for creating and sharing
Glad this helps. my main focus is trying to help save some of that hard earned cash
what year is this for? Do you know if the tools / bolt sizes carry over to a 2018 model?
Do you need to replace the coil packs every time you change spark plugs or how often should you do it?
the service docs say to do the spark plugs every 40k miles, coils should make it 60k, since you will need to remove the coils anyway I would inspect the black plastic shaft for any cracking. this is a pretty common issue, so if you find some I would replace as this will allow some of your spark to exit into the engine block before reaching your plugs and cause hesitation and lose efficiency. Thanks for your support. I hope this answers your question.
How has your car been running with these ENA Coils? Trying to decide between these cheaper ones vs the more expensive German brands from FCA EURO parts. Thanks!
I have only put about 8k miles on the car in two years. but it is running great so far.
Cool thanks. Already ordered and will give them a try
Hey how much should this cost with a Indy that’s very good. Got some crazy quotes last few days
I think I spent about 300 in materials. I'll check again later when I get home
Porsche says not to add anti-seize because it can theoretically reduce the electrical connection between the plug and the head. It makes me nervous though to not use it. I haven’t decided which direction to go when I swap plugs in my car.
I've broken one or two in my time. It makes me feel much better.
Excuse me. If someone used the m10 bolt like it, can we replace it for new aluminum bolt like original ??
Yes sir, by all rights you should replace the bolts. They are aluminum and will stretch when tightened the first time.
@@TomorrowsTek thank you so much!!
I worried about the inner size of bolt hole.
Can you talk about the problems you encountered and what are the alerts that appeared on the screen because I suffer from engine insufficiency? Please help my brother 😔
Hello my Friend. I actually did not get any alerts on the screen. but the engine did have hesitation. I found that these coil packs are not very dependable. the black plastic shaft overtime will crack, when this happens you will lose spark as it will transfer out of the coil into the block of the motor causing the loss creating the hesitation. after I replaced them, the motor did not hesitate anylonger
When an ignition coil fails you will get the PSM Failure light and Sport mode will be disabled and the car will be obviously misfiring.
What gear did you realize there was hesitation, was this from a complete stop?
Yea mine was just hesitation on idle and little on driving speed it was enough to feel thru the steering wheel.
Thanks
very informational. I am getting P2317 AND P0356. Is there a ignition coil behind the rear passenger tire? I saw a video calling it a bar ignition module.
It’s exactly what the video said a ignition module NOT a coil two different things
Is this for the V6 also??
Yes Very similar just missing two plugs and coils so would be cheaper :) I hope this helps and thanks for your support
What's the order for the coils I need 2 an 6 for the v6. Can't find anything online.
@@mlktim Hi TR and thanks for supporting my channel. The v6 if you are in the driver seat. Front right passenger starts 123 front driver side front is 567. Note there is no 4.
@TomorrowsTek cool thanks I appreciate the help I will replace them later today. Not paying that extra money for something this simple. These mechanics will rob u.
@@mlktim 100% agree 👍
Eww did he really put in some Bosch spark plugs? 🤑
You should have bought the Beru's or Ngk's.
If you don't mind. what is wrong with the Bosch Plugs?
Nothing wrong actually? But they dont perform the same as a Beru or Ngk. But if you dont mind performance, go with anything you like..
And you know if you go to the dealer, the dealer
asks you which one you want. If you want something that does the job you get the cheap Bosch plugs, If you want to spend the extra money they offer you the Beru plugs.
and I can tell you that the entire driving experience and power improves a lot if you change from the Bosch plugs to the Beru.
sorry. I was trying to go as cheap as possible on the parts. I was on a very limited budget and have not made any income from my videos yet. I hope to use better parts in the future.
