This includes extended family. So called cousins uncles aunts. Etc. It stems from jealousy and hatred. There all usually narcissists / psychopaths

I had a toxic family member., I had to cut them off.. at first it was hard but honestly it doesn't bother me anymore, of anything I feel healthy and great that I don't have to face the person anymore., no more drama!

I cut my immediate family off 7 years ago and never looked back they literally drained the life out of me. They used me talked about me begind my back when I couldn't afford to help them because i had to pay my own bills. I'm much better off just me and my kid

I've cut toxic people off in my life a few times and it's liberating. Long story short, you don't need them fools in your life. Stand up for yourself, cut them off as I know it's not easy at first and move on. Freedom.
In the end you'll realise that you're worth so much more, you won't miss them because I don't still to this day.
Always watch for people's actions rather than their words. If they're good and are positive to you without any problems then keep them around but if the ones that are negative, two faced and can't be trusted then those are the one you need to get rid of.
Surround yourself with positive people and afterall it's much better to roll alone than to be around snakes.

Damn you just described my sister, my mother and a couple of brothers. If they refuse to change after letting them know the things they're doing wrong it's best to get as far away from them as possible. Toxic family members are a headache. No matter what you do for them its never enough. When dealing with toxic family members that are greatly known for playing the victim..spreading rumors and talking trash behind your back? RUN!
This goes for social media too. Friends and family pretending to love and support you. Monitoring your page /liking your posts/ following you.
Meanwhile they laughing talking behind your back, envious and tearing you down to everyone else.
DONT GIVE THEM ANYTHING TO WORK WITH OR TRY TO SABOTAGE!

FACTS! I witnessed that fake love all the time whenever they felt guilty and trying to impress and doing “shoutouts” for their followers..smh. So sad. Luckily, I’m not on social media like that so I could care less.

I like how he matched toxic with drama. So true. I had a person in my life that loooooved drama to the core! No matter what I did was enough. Constantly bickerin about stupid stuff talking about people doing this and that. And not looking at there own life. I got out and im happy i did.
Some people think that drama will bring vitality to your life. Not so. Drama does no one any good. If you want drama, then go enroll in an acting class.

This was very encouraging as I have grown up in an emotionally neglectful, toxic, and dysfunctional. I have a plan to move out but it’s hard with the money that I am making considering I am a student and only 20 years old. But I have hope that if a keep saving, I’ll eventually be able to move out and leave this unhealthy environment behind me.

I have a twin brother. This is very on point. Im am leaving him behind for his constant disrespect. I told him about it 4 years ago and gave him multiple chances. He still hasn't got his act together and is constantly trying to physically fight me. We live with family members but i have a job and im moving out this month. Whole time this dude still hasn't had a job, always playing video games, watching movies, and borrowing other peoples money but has plenty of negative things to say about the next man. Tyler I actually had a toxic family member look me in my eyes and said "there is nothing great about you, so I don't know why you think you are a great writer" I have lots of success in writing and they would not stop pissing on me and disrespecting all my hard work to become a great writer and writing teacher. Do they want it mostly on their terms and dismiss your hard work and won't support your dreams but quick tear you down? They don't acknowledge the work you do but expect you to acknowledge theirs.
Thank you for this message although it's a year late. I have a toxic, controlling, and narcissist older sister who takes out her frustrations on me. I'm contemplating keeping her at a distance after this pandemic and I could care less how she'll feel.

I've already started leaving them high and dry. I've also gone no contact. I didn't deal with father the last 7 years of his life. With that being said, I will never EVER speak to my mother, sister and brother again as well as long as l have breath in my body. I've already told my wife that if l pass before them, do not allow them to come in the funeral home blowing bugers and snot all over the place because they never truly loved me anyway.
My family tell me that I fail all my classes don't do nothing in the house and say I don't know anything I'm dumb you want get a job you are useless idk if this is acts of a toxic family they just make me feel worthless

My step-mother low key hates me and blew up at me during a family crisis after I had helped everyone. I have to go see my father after his head injury two years ago (he's mostly fine now,) and I dread having to deal with her when I go visit him soon. It will be all fake. I plan to say as little as possible. I also have issues living with my elderly mother at times. It's really hard getting abused by family members. Thanks for this!

I am the middle child & growing up I was the only kid who had a job, paid rent really young, was quiet, did well at school, never troubled my parents & for some reason I was always singled out & the punching bag. As I got older I noticed through making friends and meeting colleagues with all different backgrounds that most of them had a fairly normal loving family dynamic. Sure they had arguments too but nothing ever seemed vindictive. I would say oh so parents dont stab each other? Your brothers dont attack you at any chance & steal from you? Your sisters dont lie on you constantly for no reason & flirt with your partner naked? Your dad dont try kill himself every few months? Your dad doesnt smash all your things and drill holes in your furniture you bought & then not recall doing it? OHHHHHH maybe I am not the weird one after all I was conditioned to think all the toxic behaviour towards & around me was normal. As I got older I started working 28 to 30 twelve hour night shifts a month. All they ever did was call me waking me up knowing id be sleeping after my night shift & want a favour. I was their taxi, baby sitter & bank for so many years. When I hit 28 i stopped it all & I noticed they became even more bitter towards me. I would hear lies they told about me, they would constantly tell me im miserable & weird even though i was always in great spirit. They laughed & mocked me for believing in God. When I had hard times they really didnt care. I lost a friend I was in love with, I'd been taken from work in an ambulance for collapsing due to exhaustion & no1 ever even offered words of wisdom or advise let alone actually be in the flesh to see how i am. I would think of all the times i would be sitting in waiting areas, queues or traffic for them with their kids because id not slept and taken them to were they needed to go. When i actually needed support they were ghosts. If there was an argument my sister would call and fool me into thinking she cared all to find out my mum and sister was in on it listening and if one negative thing was said they would ban me from seeing their kids until they needed baby sitting. They would text me multiple times pretending to be my 10 year old neice. They would plan things for my birthday and go without me and upload the pics on social media. I never got an explanation as to why. If i dared challenge it I was 'Moody' or 'aggressive'. I turnt 29 this year and locked them off for good. I know they will just use this as another reason to be bitter at me but why fight it they will NEVER own up to any wrong doing. I wrote abit too much but this helped so much. Thank you.

A family member that has a hood relative, sometimes thinks they are weak. So they are going up try to play you. To some being good is a sign of weakness, which I find to be totally twisted, poor judgement on their part. Also, they may also hate the fact that you are a good person and they arent!

I've been there & i'm in my own home now. Feels good. Now how bout that same family member that was doing me just like how you describe, that family member lost their 🏡 & knew that i have a 🏡 now & sent my mom to me to ask if they can move in & they'll pay me. I said i can't do it & kept moving forward. Stress is gonna always come but atleast I don't have to deal with that stress living with someone else under their foundation.

I had to sever ties because it just got too painful. The accusations and the smear campaign going on behind my back for decades that I knew nothing about was just too much to take. I never wanna see those people again. I hope karma comes for every one of them.
Not only I love this video, I love you for who you are and how real you are. I have a toxic family member who I don't talk to anymore because I do the best I can for that person, but no matter how much help I provide, even when I mess up cause no one is perfect, I get ridiculed or annoyed by the same family member over again. I'm at a point where not only I'm fed up for that person being ungrateful and making a fuss about unnecessary shit but I'm focusing on bettering my life. Point blank period!!

My parent who I cut off for many years and my spouse was toxic family members I had to put distance from, because I was literally always helping in the house and bringing groceries, shared my money, and things we need and even willing to do most of the cooking if they wanted me to and I am a good cook yet they put me down, shaded, acted fake and wish washy around people and they was never satisfied and I was never "on their level". I even took care of them while they were sick and entertained them while they were sick but when I got sick they bailed or got even more toxic knowing I couldn't defend myself whole sick. They didn't appreciate anything I did just took the benefits. I did their laundry and picked up behind them and gave them daily ego boost and it was not enough. So now I am alone and keep my distance. I tried to talk to them and they just bulldozed me and deflected.

I have quite a few family members who have downed me. But I proved them wrong by accomplishing what they said I wouldnt. They like to be in my business so I tell them ABSOLUTELY nothing. I moved further away and cut them off. I dont need negative energy in my life💯💯💯💯💯

Just cut my little sister off 2 days ago. It's a little scary, but feels so freeing at the same time. I'm completely over her talking down to me. It took me 41 years to wake up, but I'm not taking anymore abuse from her or any other family members anymore. I deserved to be be treated kindly, respectfully and fairly.

I've always had chronic problems with some of my Family Members the Family Members I had chronic issues with is my Cousin Gary my Mom and my Sister Isabelle my Mom and Isabelle always made me look like I was the bad person criticized me and cut me down my Mom and Isabelle also would gossip and trash talk about me behind my back to their friends so I moved out of their place in 2004 when I was 22 because I was at my wits end with my Mom and Sister's ill treatment and my Mom and Sister did not want me to move out and were sad to see me go I'm like to myself to them it's too late to be nice to me now I'm out of here now I cut my Mom and Sister off for good I cut my Cousin Gary off too because he would cuss me out and call me atrocious names because I got on his tail about snooping in my stuff and taking food without permission and he was trying to be manipulative so I cut him out of my life too
MyOpinion the only in my Family that I saw eye to eye with is my Dad Grandma Uncles Aunts and some of my Cousins when my Dad passed away in 2013 and when my Grandma passed away this year in February I was devastated big time because I was very close with my Dad and Grandma

Everytime I cut ppl off even family they send the police to my house to do a welfare check the police tried to kick my door in one time and I was not home. I was overseas on vacation. I caught it all on my ring camera. I wish these ppl would leave me alone. I just can't get any peace. There is a reason I'm avoiding them and ignoring them.
