Also i know u didn't comment this but i just wanted to say it anyway. As someone who was in cheer in middle school my coach relentlessly bullied me and even though try outs didn't exist for middle school. Also i tried out for the highschool dance team when i was in highschool but even though i did all the dances correctly and was there for every single practice for the try outs they told me i wasn't pretty enough to be in the team.
I’m so grateful to God my 22 year old is a responsible, wonderful young LADY. She could easily be vain and arrogant as she’s stunning, but she’s humble and kind. Jojo is a product of Jocelyn’s ambition. Sadly, she’s ruined her.

Usually when you do a rebrand you announce it by doing the rebrand. You don't typically have to tell people that you're doing a rebrand. All she did was take her colorful bedazzled brand and trade all the colors out for black. That's not a 180° rebrand, that's going from Lisa Frank to Lisa Frank Noir. If she really wanted to go 180 she should have gone for earth tones and taken out the sparkles and gone total folk music. Lol

Spot on. I would imagine after being one thing her entire life it would be really difficult to actually "rebrand" herself unless she hired someone to do it. The dancing is the same, the energy is the same, the clothing is the same just now it's black. She's put glitter and paint on her face forever. Not to mention her voice is not suited for this type of song. It sounds like a kid trying to be an adult, besides the fact that the lyrics just don't match the lifestyle she's portrayed for 15 years. Her image was super clean for so long so that kids could have someone to look up to and now she's trying to get everyone to shift their perspective that after two or so years of her trying to grow up a bit that a song like this is supposed to be believable coming from her? It just doesn't work.

Her mom has been using her since she was born. Jessalyn dyed that child's hair blonde from the time she was 1 and a half years old. There's film of her literally dyeing Jojo's hair and she's so so little. I don't think that's even healthy for a little child, all those chemicals because jessalyn was desperate for Jojo to have white blond hair. She looks better with her natural brown hair. This is all so TOXIC. How to take a lovely child and turn her into someone with NPD.
Honestly, I doubt that's even her doing. She's got an entire team of people dictating her every move, word, action, and outfit and they know exactly what they're doing to keep her in the spotlight and the money flowing. You can't just hand over the reigns to someone who's never had control over their own life. It would either end with her quitting, her making terrible financial decisions, making terrible career ending decisions, or lead to a more insane and out of touch kid destroying their image permanently. The whole thing is a damn sham, from her words, behaviors, actions, wardrobe, and career decisions. Hell, even her CZcams and TikTok is monitored and run by a team of dedicated people. It's why I don't blame her for the spina bifida girl. I blame JoJo's mom, her team, and SB girl's own mom. Really, it's the girl's own mother who's at fault, considering the girl was still a minor (she was 14 in 2021 for God's sake) and her mother had full legal responsibility to keep her underage daughter safe. Instead of keeping her home to rest after surgery, her mother let her go back on the set to rehearse where she could have suffered massive medical repercussions. Her mother is a damn fool and the fact she was too stupid to realize how toxic, manipulative, and dangerous the show (and similar shows) could be for her young daughter still going through surgeries to help her SB is absolutely bloody ridiculous and braindead. My 2 year old loves to dance and we want to encourage her to follow thay passion by signing her up for dance lessons, but it's still MY responsibility to read any and all contracts, monitor my daughter while she's attending those classes, and keep her safe and healthy while she's in attendance. Should she need major surgery, you better fucking believe she isn't going back to that class until doctors and surgeons have cleared her and determined that it's safe for her to re-enter high performance athletics or activities (which dancing would be one of them). JoJo's whole shtick is being dictated, controled, and monitored very closely just as it has been her whole childhood. So I don't truly believe she's a narcissist, a bad person, insane, or "going off the deep end"....just as I also don't believe it's on her to be blamed or take responsibility on behalf of the SB girl (it's that girls fucking mothers fault and her responsibility...and if anyone else is to blame, it's JoJo's mother and JoJo's team/the director and team behind the show).
Her mother pushed her into this, and convinced her that she'd be a suoetstar. Her fall from grace will be devastating and massively destructive.

As a former Dance Mom fan, I remember first seeing Jojo. She’s actually not that gifted at dance, or singing. She just had a mom that wouldn’t take no for an answer regarding her kid becoming a “star”. Not being that interested in pop culture for about 10 years, I was shocked when I found out her mom got what she wanted!

The part that made me feel bad for her was when she said she was uncomfortable with the lyrics to the song because she isn’t a bad girl… This means either the direction this “rebrand” went was imposed on her by someone else, or that she thought that this was the only way you can go about growing up in the public eye.

The way she was treated as a child is one way to create a person with narcissistic personality disorder. The you're great/you're sh*t instability and probably not having her emotional needs met. The narcissism becomes a coping strategy learned during childhood to manage their vulnerability and low self concept. It's sad when parents and other adults in kids' lives raise them like that. Hopefully she can get some therapy.
I never saw Abby say she was horrible she got majority of the leads for their dance competitions, she has been told he's the best from day one that's why she has such a massive ego now.
I kinda feel for her. I'm not justifying anything she does but since she was a toddler her mom was bleaching her hair and overall not protecting her from bad people and groomers. She's clearly still in denial because she's only 20. The closer she gets to 25 I hope she starts waking up to how she had a PRETTY bad childhood. And the people she was surrounded by are bad and used her. And sees reality for what it is. Because at 25 your brain is fully developed.

@@FukaiKokoro that's what's kind of worrying. When the brain "matures" at 25 years old, what that also means is that there's less brain plasticity... It means that responding to treatment could be a slower process than before a person reaches 25 years of age. That's just a generalisation, but the brain just becomes less flexible.
