    for sharpening dendritic cobalt i use a medium/grey ceramic rod (something with a small radius or corner) then a strop loaded with formax emery cake. just needs 6 passes a side on both ceramic and strop using a bit of pressure.

    question. what font/intro are you using? I'm assuming premiere pro? let me know, id like to use it on a few videos I'm doing at work.

    I picked up a Hogue Mini RSK from KW recently. Great knife, of late it’s my go to. I’ll probably get the full size sometime as well. Glad to see your into knives too GP.

      I'm very into knives! But, I take long breaks from knife content, because it's very niche. That Hogue is very nice!

      @@thegunpenguin Also recently got a hogue deka in magnacut. I like rsk more but hogue puts great factory edges on their knives. I have arguably too many pocketknives lol

      I feel you. The pocket knife collection can get our of hand, fast! How do you like Magancut so far? I haven't tried it yet.

      @@thegunpenguin So far, no issues but it’s not some steel handed down from Zeus to mortals as you’d be led to believe. It doesn’t seem all that different from say cpm20cv to me. Therefore it is so far excellent but not earth shattering.

      Good to know! I feel like, every time a new steel hits the market, that's the hype. That's the main reason I've stuck with M390 and Elmax when possible. I know exactly how they work. But like you're pointing out, there are so many steels on the market, we're just pushing the recipe elements around in slightly different ways at this point.

    Teravantium! Such a power name!

    A little sticktion is normal on liner/frame lock knives with odd material combos. Some even put a little chunk of steel at the end of the lock bar to keep it slick.

      Hell if I know -- I make all the music on my channel. I rarely remember to name them.

    Sounds neat, but out of an abundance of caution I'd keep cobalt the hell away from food, especially if working on steel or ceramic surfaces.

    A defense daily carry knife in 2022?

  • @jimcrelm9478
    @jimcrelm9478 Před 2 lety

    A defensive... knife? Like I get that weapons are cool, but when would a defensive knife actually be useful? Gun fight? Dead. Knife fight? Probably also dead. Fistfight? Imprisoned. Get some pepper spray or a sawn off shotgun or maybe wear medieval armor outside. (Cooler than a stab vest, you could even add a solar powered fan and heatsink or two.)

      Most people don’t have a gun or knife. I’d rather have one than not. What if you have a gun and the shooter had a plate carrier on? Then you need to carry an ar pistol with fmj
