Ter Stegen was 50% of the defense. Gavi and Busquets together were another 25%. This back line with Pena is much less capable than they were with ter stegen, busquets and gavi

Barca are missing a key piece on defence and that's Ter Stegen- world class keeper. That's key, but also Kounde has been up and down, but mostly down, Christensen's quite inconsistent. Missing a true class CDM in the middle, had Kessie but let him go, had the best man for the job Busquets but decided he's too old now. Maybe get Partey from Arsenal, a type of a player that can be a rock defensively for you in the middle, protect the shaky back 4 and move the ball forward like Rodri. It's not Gundogan or De Jong, they don't fit the profile. Also, Gundogan has been found out to be shadow of a player he was with City, what leadership does he provide? So many losses now for Barca since he arrived. At least can't blame Lewy for getting scored on so often this season, he's not a defender.
