Raw unedited footage from the MustangTown Showdown Series that I uploaded years ago. Since Nate’s passing last year I’ve been going through my archives and putting up some raw footage as a tribute to Nate. He certainly was an O.G #VSO Street Outlaw from way back. Rest In Peace old friend.
For those that haven’t followed the channel, the Mustang runs high 12s and has Edelbrock heads and intake, E303 cam and full supporting bolt-on mods and 4.10 gears. The Camaro just bit off a bit more than it could chew this time. He didn’t realize how quick this H/C/I Foxbody really was. They had more meetings in the future. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Damn this really took me back that was a fun time we can't get back. Have a similar gt that hasn't run since I bought a house 15 years ago but this is my fuel to get it going again. RIP Nate, sounds great and ripping gears.

Reminds me of the late ‘90’s with my old HCI Vortech’d T-5 LX Hatch. Man the streets were fun back then

RIP Mr.Nate, this video was what put me on to this channel. He was ice cold shifting them gears in that Fox Body. I know as a kid seeing them in the late 90s early 2000s. They was monsters on the streets.

I didnt know him personally..but his car was pure inspiration to me. 10 years ago when i had my first fox this is some of the earliest content i could find. Love the entire channel.

My cousin back when these cars were new had a 89 lx coupe that ran 8.15 in the eighth with just a 3.73 gear and lightweight driveshaft on mccrearys.

Drag Lites on a GT with the Saleen wing ( IMO) was the best looking car in the 90s.
I saw a foxbody gt similar to this one pull into a local cruise in last night. Had the stock turbine wheels wrapped in BFG radials. It had a mild cam with a flowmasters of course. Makes me wish I still had my 93 LX.
I've had mine for 30 years and it's still competitive

Man this gets me excited I’m doing a father son build on an 86 junkyard save fox body. It had that junk 3.8, 6 cylinder in it that you could opt for back in the day, that’s going back to junkyard, and I’m doing a classic true 5.0 306 build with E303 GT40P heads crane 1.7 roller rockers and mandrill bent headers and Flowmaster exhaust. It’s gunna be badass, my dad a had a black 89 GT when I was a kid loved that car growing up made me want one now I finally do!

yeah, when you're getting into heads, cam, nice intake & 4.10s.. you just may.. wanna have a lil'bit of something extra underneath your hood, also! ..That GT hooked up damn good, look like.. that 4.10 gear helped out a lot with that & I'm sure, he's had frame connectors!

The exhaust was BBK equal-length headers, BBK off road X-pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back and also had Edelbrock heads and intake, 70mm throttle body, E303 cam, 24lb. injectors, underdrive pulleys, MSD ignition, Tremec 5-spd, 4.10 gears, aluminum driveshaft, electric fans. It was a solid high 12 second runner which was quite respectable in the late ‘90s and into the early ‘00s. It upset its share of LT1 and LS1 cars lol. Sadly Nate passed away a couple years ago…. he truly was a good dude 😢 and the epitome of a motorhead.

I’ve always had GM but the sound of a good running old 5.0 fox and someone who can drive is timeless. I would beat fox in my 94 z28 from a roll and kill em but from a dig it could be another story. Great channel!!!

I know this is a long shot, but that resturant looks familliar. I used to travel from Waynesboro v.a to Frederick Md when I was 16 and swear I used to drive passed that same resturant with the red roof. Was this near kearneyville wv? This is driving me nuts haha.
@@DANIELSCALVIN it’s just after Berryville Virginia after crossing the state line into West Virginia, just before Charlestown. So yes, you would’ve went this route to Frederick Maryland.

I remember this resturant, and some old abandoned adult video store on the right hand side of the highway going toward MD lol. I don't know what has been done to the mustang but it looks like it will reach and get it and it sounds sweet as fuck too
It has Edelbrock Performer heads and intake, E303 cam, 24lb injectors, larger throttle body and MAF sensor w/ K&N cold air and filter, underdrive pulleys, MSD ignition, BBK headers, off road X-pipe, Flowmaster cat-back, Tremec 5-speed tranny, 4.10 gears and few other goodies. It was a decent higher 12 second runner.
I remember this video on CZcams from waaay back when. I watched it so many times. RIP mustang owner.

Hands down 5.0 kicks that cheby arse! Back in 1990 stock block 5.0 slicks 4.10 advanced timing to 14 degrees 12.40 and drive home from the track.
You forgot the upgraded heads & cam. No way you were running mid 12's with just timing bump, gears and slicks.

Well, with cam, exhaust, gears and 7 pounds from a Weiand, I'm only pushing 11.8-11.9 on a perfect pass, so i think that might be a little bit ambitious from gears and timing. Not knocking them, love my fox, but--
@@83gt17 just keeps thinking. We did the same with grand national too . Stock 5.0 on 14 pounds boost with prepped chassis 4.10 10.90s . You just doubt people. The recipes are are the www.and mustang magazine from back then documented.

Mustangs have smaller engines, but weigh less too.
When a Mustang puts a 3:73 or 4:10 in the rear, it’s game over for GM.
This particular Mustang had aftermarket heads, cam, intake, gears and full bolt on mods, whereas this Camaro had factory stock heads, cam, intake.
What was done to the Camaro?

You can hear an open exhaust and when they were stopped you could hear the cam. The gears are also alot shorter than stock it's pretty obvious the mustang isn't stock lol

There’s good and bad in both models. Asking me to choose between a Camaro and Mustang is like asking me which one of my kids I live more lol. I’m not into brand loyalty or tribalism garbage, I just love Camaro #V8Ponycars and Mustang #V8Ponycars equally.

That mustang is not original motor on it, back mustang had 245 horse power there's no way it would beat the z28 with 300 plus horse power
