Dikstra had a 3.55 on the last few runs during this campaign , boost was good . Watching Vise Grip garage this week. he has a Parker his little team has been wrenching on , the newest addition was new turbo , vac lines , clean injectors , with all the electrical do dads, it’s sounds amazing .

I had '93 GT competition/performance red. And in 2001 they picked up that paint color again for the 2001 GT, so I had to get one of those too ! Lol

My buddy sold his black 93 Cobra six years ago- he was the original owner with only 9,000 miles on it, all original. I told him they were going up in value, to hang onto it, but he sold it wayyy to cheap!

That guy in the GN had no idea what he was doing. In 87 i went 14.09 bone stock in my GN and in 2024 GS nationals just went 8.78@158mph

As I recall the GLHS could run in the 13s w basic mods and that's after a fwd launch.

They are all desirable in my book but I have a soft spot for patina, drivable muscle cars that you can drive and park anywhere and not be stressed, so I'd take the Camaro @2:50 and the C10 immediately after that. I've had and still have cars that I worry about- I want to finally get one I can drive and enjoy yet is still bad af!

Had a brand new 89 Shelby Daytona. Every now and then I could beat a mustang GT. You had to outdrive the guy, it wasn't the car it was the driver otherwise those Dodges would lose to about everything. The Grand national could pre-load his turbo off the line and win about every time. Shelby was fighting wheel spin torque steer and just lack of muscle. I ran that car hard every chance I got 7 k on the tach

These races are more of an indicator of how these cars actually ran on the street than the purpose built fully prepped pure stock races of today.

They definitely sound quiet when idling at Red lights, I had that same experience when pulling up next to a charger lmao. I didn’t hear his engine and thought it was a V6 until he got on the gas when the light turned green.

So... they have some GN's going 14s and some going mid to low 13s..... Someone is cheating...

There is no way a pure stock mustang does low 14s.... 14.7 with a 5 speed or 15.2 with an automatic.... pure stock. You can run super unleaded and put 13 degree advance on the distributer, but that is only 4 - 5 hp.

Those t-5 trans used to like genading on 5.0 mustangs and camaros. Those engines just had too much torque for those transmissions. BW fixed tge issue on the 5.0s, but the F bodies were stuck swapping out to a 4th gen Tremec. Those wete very fun cars in their times, and can still be in the right hands!

I had an 04 mustang GT with the 4.6. Back in 05. Bought my 93 Camaro with the LT1 as a cash car. When I discovered the 93 Camaro was faster even with several mods done to the mustang and the Camaro was stock…. I sold the Wusstang and still have the 93 z28 to this day!!
