Erm, Comrades happens 6 months after the Long Night starts. If he was bored then, imagine how bored he'd be just before Noctis came back.
Really hate how Ifrit has more skills in this version then in the main game itself, I mean come on.
Yea if his lvl 99 version was in the main game, the ending would help you feel a lot more accomplished as he's the last great challenge of the story.

What level were you, what weapons did you have equipped and how did you get them
I wish they would've add his new moves to the main game and an extra 100.000 HP for him

i see a video of the drunk version of ifrit boss fight and he looked much more harder than in this video 🤔
People keep wondering what was even the point of the Kingsglaive, Hunters etc. going to Insomnia, if all they seem to do is fight at the capital then run away. First, Cindy said to Noct that lots of advanced tech never left Insomnia, so it's be smart to at least scavenge some useful items like those holy-infused lights (the blue ones) or some vehicle engine optimizers. Could also be a fair amount of elemental energy shards from Nyx's one-man-army segment as well as some Imperial tech from the destroyed ships and abandoned outposts from when they tried to control the place (I remember there was an optional quest in the game that made you test a lvl 99 MA-X Angelus-0 some Hunters repurposed, which proves it's possible). There's also the fact that people wanted to prove they could fight back the Night, all the way back to Ardyn himself. Seems he just swats them like flies though, probably relating to him knowing their powers come from the tombs and perhaps just cutting them off from the places for a while - he's kind of hard to kill even without Ravus in the Dastardly Duo INGEM quest.
So, i was playing this boss with the same level, cloth and hairstyle as you when i opened this video XD

How are they even battling a level 99 boss when their hp is so low. I tried getting the dragon horns to make the dragon whisker weapon but next to impossible at least for me to get it to drop the dragon horn. Please explain
Why Ardyn says "try not to die this time"?
can you please explain to me how your getting him to go out of his fire form in the second phase? he stays like that for me I can't get any damage on him even with level 120 dragon whisker and 3500 strength. also what level do you recommend doing this?
He was doing only 200 to 100 damage in fire form so i beat him easily

Ifrit sort of just breaks and stands still if you kill off your AI partners then stand ish on the corner of the stair case as he is on the lower level. I taped my R1 and Circle button down and went afk for literally 4 hours and he was beat.
Nice fight ! Square should add Ifrit's new moves into the main game ! (with Comrades magic system too)
Keep the magic the way it is lol. Comrades having its own system is one of its appeals.
I find Comrades magic system far better than the one in the original game (even if Elemancy capability was interesting).
-> The fact that it has its own buttons/slots makes it better and since it's tied to your equipped weapon it gives an interesting approach to the gameplay.
-> It's kinda like KH Shortcut system (L2 + Button) which is simple and clean (lol), but really useful.
-> Even FFXV Pocket Edition magic system is more practical (magic, ring magic and royal arms have their own slot in battle).
Weapon leveling/ability system and royal sigils would be a great addition to the main game.
well i will say they should allow you to play the combat system of comrade in the original game ONLY if Noct is using royal arm, that will give people more reason to actually use the royal arm to attwck rather than just stats boost
So they would then have to reduce the power of magic in the main game to compensate for being able to spam spells like that. You also wouldn't have much reason to use the royal arm's physical attacks if you could use magic like that with it equipped.
that will be job for those developer and game designer, if they have to scale it down then by all means do it

They're AI for Christ's sake, not really surprising. Though Libertus was great for me, seems most don't agree.

i wish the summons were like this in ff14 be so epic
Bahamut level 99 battle is so much harder...Ifrit with Diaga it's possible for maybe 20% of the players but Bahamut level 99 with AI it's basically impossible, because the AI it's useless and they just keep on dying. I could beat Ifrit at level 99 with AI (thanks Libertus, I owe you a few rounds) but Bahamut is in a whole different story. When it starts to slam on the floor throwing the swords in circular motion it's a nightmare, even with the Sigil that gives you dodging while clapping.
I had him within a few hits of death and he killed me. This game is so aggravating.
after swapping with the Tall Sigil to Rampage, my word, it got super easy. goes to show strength is not everything you need.
*for Some reason i want ardyn to be an ancestor in game- like his hair and facial features- stuff like that. But mainly his suit*
Well fuck if that Ifrit on the throne opening was fucking badass.
Hate the fact this fight amounts to Ifrit being a damage Sponge doesn't help either that your teammates die from just one swing
It took me 20min to beat this guy. The KI is completly useless in this fight besides of healing.
What´s your stats and is this on 4:40 the only way to make him vulnerable ?
ResonanceBlade it took me around 15 and i was just dicking around because he could hardly hurt me. fierce sigil is so damn op. Especially the kamahameha

The rogue sigil doubles air damage if that helps.

He's probably around at Level 90
Deeth Irteen raise your vitality to at least 1000. it becomes infinetly easier

I just can't beat him... he is so BS... I tried air combat, ground combat ect. he just kills everyone before I have a chance and moment I'm animation locked he kills someone off. lvl 47.... 1.1k strength 653 def
I got halfway before accepting my defeat. I can probably do it if I just dodge better now that I understand the attacks.
My strategy was just using blizzaga after he attacked until he was vulnerable and then switch to my katana. To dodge his attacks I would warp instead of blocking or rolling since those would leave me vulnerable.
From what I've heard, you should probably use Blizzaga, and raise the level cap on your weapons to 120.
I have 1.3k dmg now at lvl 52 I mainly use my 99 weps 2 katanas, 2 spears. but I'll try it just gotta farm another wep for that blizzaga -3-
I had 2700+ strength here and Aerial Ace Sigil. Blizzaga didn't work for me, but if you can get somehow your magic to 2000+ with Blizzaga, I think it'll be very effective against Ifrit, go for either max strength or max magic with blizzaga
How did you get 2700+ strenght?
I think i was at 40 when I faced him. AI so useless yet again cause I soloed 75% of the fight.
