Jesus, these comments... Angelgard Island was used as a prison for repentance to the Gods in ancient times. Bahamut would then determine their worthiness to be saved by their determination and bravery in battle against them. These glaves all betrayed Lucis. So, Bahamut is testing them. He's not trying to wipe them out with full strength. Also, the reason they stay on the Island is to keep it free from Daemons so Noctis can be safe. Over ten years, they become infected by the Miasma and will become daemons unless Noctis fulfills his destiny and kills Ardyn, ending the Starscourge and bringing back the dawn. Any questions.

fw. tarzann it was already revealed Noctis was the true king of kings yes, but what the twist was that in order to banish the starscourage away from eos, Noctis had the ring of the lucii become one with the crystal, with ring in hand he was to be sacrificed, many have sacrificed a lot waiting for the king of kings arrival so he is to be sacrificed as well for all, simpler answer, it’s like a mega holy that costs life

@@mrpip1179 You're not wrong, but neither is Breno. It depends on what source material are you basing your views. If you go with the comic, well yeah, Bahamut isn't bad. Base it on the novel and Bahamut is a class A jerk and dictator. I'm on the middle ground and say that the devs just fucked us over and never actually made a fixed villain for us to unleash our rage on when we got the first couple of endings.

So, don't ask why the Kingsglaive were left on an island. . . .Ask how many of them betrayed Noctis and Regis and Lucis and were looking for forgiveness.
Probably most of them are already forgiven. If not then some of them might have been killed in those 10 long years when the world was Dark.
This game is going to feel very different if and when it's re-released as a full, complete package.

tre97able Great. I loved it. But the battle system was poorly thought out and feels like it wasn't play tested thoroughly, and equipment system is worse and more annoying than Zestiria. They really need to overhaul both those things in the next game. I wish they would just reuse Graces battle system, and Vesperia's equipment system. Those were the best.

Kamui Hybrid I just... don't understand why they had to use the same combat strategy as kingdom hearts.... I don't like kingdom hearts and just the battle sequence reminds me too much. I liked ff12 and 13 was okay but this is just awful.

If not the company would be in deep shit because they already delayed it several times. Had Versus XIII not been worked on so heavily only for most of it to be scrapped we may may have had a better game.
Unfortunately that wasn't possible. Nomura was getting nowhere after 7 years of development and Square was getting sick and tired of pumping money into this project. Personally, I'm just happy they are trying to finish this instead of just saying "fuck it" and leaving things unfinished.
Scorepeio - What deep shit? They got two amazing financial years prior to 2016. The only feasible reason why SE wanted to release FFXV in 2016 was because they got no AAA title planned to be released on that financial year. Releasing FFXV on 2016 would guarantee SE to continue that growth trend and it would look nice in front of the investors eyes.
Financial wise, SE would have no problem at all to support the development of FFXV for another one or two years.
And I won't be so confident about vsXIII. According the same leaker who accurately predicted main events of FFXV story, vsXIII story isn't any good, imo it's even weirder. And Tabata barely had anything to scrap from except the story. What Nomura show us in E3 2013 (when he announced vsXIII become XV) was just fake gameplay, as had been pointed by many interviewers during TGS 2014. Tabata just saved a dying project, but he's given too short deadline by the management.

I really am enjoying this DLC it adds some things to the story but I wish they showed more about Ardyn and how it took over the world it would have been very cool if there was a mission about retaking Insomnia ( which fails of course) to show how overwhelming this villain it would really make you feel the importance of Noctis and empower his right to be the main character of this game , this way it seems they did't even try to fix the world and just wasted 10 years for some messiah to do the job for them
And now that we know Bahamut is the Big Bad its too bad you can’t just kill Bahamut after you’ve beaten him.

calliberjoe and this one does not have any better...atleast in older 1 you could enjoy in animation and spec. effects of attacks...this 1 is just bashing up and down...not to mention camera stupidity on bigger bosses..and my friend when i look now into past a little bit ff 12 was one great game...i was 186 hours in that game to get all great weapons and huntings...optional bosses,also beautifull summons and effects of their superattack...it s shame for this game coz it was released unfinished and it could be one of best in series
I get that a good amount of people hated this game but to call it trash? FFXV is honestly a work of art. Incomplete as it is, years down the line when it's finished and released on PC It'll be a highlight of the series. Gamers these days think they are entitled to perfection. It doesn't matter if something is good or bad, people will cry, scream, and bitch all fucking day. Enjoy the game if you love it honestly.
Xillogean The problem is that it is incomplete, not that it's bad. This game was below average at launch because the story felt empty, and don't try to act like it wasn't. If youre an actual ff series fan, the story is lacking substance. They get the chocobros right, but that's about it. The rest of the supporting chatacters feel bland and uninspired. The story isnt coherent. If you want a sandbox game with a final fantasy feel, Than this is your game. If you want a full final fantasy rpg experience, with a full lush story, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

I wish there was a way to disable AI’s joining you. I feel like if this battle is being treated like a solo mission and you can’t actually group with friends to do it then it should really be a solo mission.
This game was fun, for a while. But once it became a button-mash, it went the way all FF games go. Story and visuals are good, battle sequences are simply tedious.
But the first time running up on some bosses was legit terrifying!

Wtf? He doesn't do anything the entire fight. I kept waiting for a change in attack pattern and him to get serious, but he just mindlessly swings his sword. No cinematics. No special abilities.....how lame.

There is a "true form" version of the fight where he gets his sword wings back, stops playing around and pulls out all his Megaflares and other tricks. This is just him going easy on you.
He will use Mega Flare in the optional Boss fight in NG+
At least FFXIV Bahamut know Megaflare....
in ffxiv mega is just a regular attack, there is giga and terra

So I hate to burst everyone’s bubble for those that enjoy this but I don’t think you can get all the sigils. I have about 4-5 more power lines left to unlock and all of my unlockable nodes unlocked and I can’t get over to the hammer head area.
The confirmed sigils are
The wanderer
The rogue
The tall
The just
The pious
The oracle
The warrior
Unless I can somehow get over to the hammerhead area these are all of the sigils right now.
Kinda weird since tobul has dragoon drain which is the sigil of the wise.
I’ve unlocked everything now and these are the only sigils you can get right now.

Oh so Bahamut IS part dragon after all, i thought he was just a big dude in dragon themed armor when i first saw him.
Your initial surmass is correct. In this iteration Bahamut is literally just a dude wearing dragon themed armor.
It's not very well expressed here, but in the Dawn of the Future Noctis kills Bahamut. But before he does, he breaks Bahamuts mask and it's revealed that Bahamut looks a LOT like Noctis and Somnus (the founder king) and Noctis laments that the reason Bahamut forsook Ardyn was because Somnus looked like Bahamut so Bahamut favored Somnus.
The final boss is Ifrit after the patch....

There are a lot of missing summons in this game. Valfor, or Borelis, or Exodus, and Carbancle. Etc
Carbuncle is present. In easy mode he helps you. In tutorial he guides you.

You were a glaive recently resurrected by Bahamut who got his kingsglaive powers back recently via Lunafreya awakening the Kings Of Yore, You then restore power to Lucis as eternal night approaches after restoring power to everywhere in Lucis you are called to AngelGard by Bahamut who tests your worthiness to live or die upon succeeding the Glaives agree to protect angelgard as it is holy grounds with Shiva after ten years of fighting Daemon hordes you are released of your duties as Noctis returned with a fully charged ring of lucii and from there the glaives separate the MC returns to Insomnia and will show up in the quest 'Glaive out of time' in Royal Edition of FFXV.

Honestly I wished your group on the island waiting died at the end. Having noctis come out to see his boat, and the graves of the fallen, while having your character barley hanging on, leaning against another grave, looking up at noctis, as you fade away. It's better than just leaving the group on the island as they are alive and stranded with nothing. It also explains why the boat was there in single player after 10 years despite never going to the island, and it looks better coming back alone cuz they died rather than because you left them in the sense of story telling. Once noctis is awake, there isn't a sense to protect the island as noctis will soon go into battle, win, and cure the entire world, meaning island is safe, lastly if they gave you an actual story, rather than "having no memory", maybe like gaining parts back, learning you were really a Lucian criminal, and since nobody knew after it fell, you gained access to the magic and that would then be the true reason for the blade master to want to test you to see if your worthy. It would have just felt like the story had depth in my opinion that way.

Why are they fighting Bahamut? So it's true that the Astrals were the true villains? I don't get it. So yeah, how long is the story of the dlc? And after the story I presume the dlc is just doing the same Hunts with other players? If that's the case, it reminds me of the main game with its timed quests. It's pretty much the same game, just in Comrades you get to play with other people. Not a bad deal I suppose if you like the battle system.

@@carrotpl "only" in DotF timeline. In the game and Royal Edition Bahamut is ambiguous but not evil. He seeks the best of humanity and his test to the glaives is a sign of that. In the canon of the game Bahamut never wanted to end humanity in ancient times.

really depends, you are given a power grind that you can move in different directions on with each expansion costing KW which you get from completing the multiplayer hunts, the thing is you cant see what is where until you unlock a branch which then reveals the next branch, if you know the route to go or look it up on the internet I would say 2 hours i just winged it and it took me 5 hours however if you guessed the correct path to take to get to the boss then 2 hours easy. There isnt much story after you do this fight its a case of grinding to max level and unlocking the rest of the grid

Why didn't they just put Gilgamesh in the game instead? Other than the dragon motif for the armor, this version of Bahamut is completely removed from what we know and love. I'm all for reinvisioning things, but there is a limit. Gilgamesh would have been a much better choice since he works with the tons of swords theme they went with. Hell even Odin would have made more sense.

If the story found in Pitioss is actually true, then this is the sin, the Lucis Bloodline is half-Astral, and Bahamut see this as sinful.
Or it could be the fact that the Kingsglaive betrayed the King and sided with Niflheim in the movie.
