Otherwise, criminey, does anyone have the record Tony does of smothering talent when they're hot? He learned the wrong lessons from Smokey Bear. Or the right lessons from the people who want to stay where they are and don't want the flames of better talent nipping at their heels. Maybe both.

that's a lot of dough, but 3 years ago, wwe was charging 1500 bucks for one seat, front row in chicago, for raw...that's too much...maybe for mania I would pay that, but not just for tv.
I'm a fan of all wrestling especially AEW and WWE. I've looked forward and enjoyed more Jim and Brian shows this year than anything that's been broadcasted.

What i dislike about aew is that the matches are just thrown together with no story and build up. And the start/stopping of the storylines

The other issue you brought up is all these wrestlers popular in Japan or whatever and introducing them here and expecting everyone to know them. It’s terrible.

shida just sold the most this year (cause she got a figure and some new shirts that have good wearable designs). britt has still sold more over the years (i always see a ton of britt shirts at live shows and have never seen much shida merch tbh lol). also jamie hayter hasn't even gotten a new shirt (she has only one from when she first debuted when she wasn't over yet) so i bet when jamie finally gets a shirt or two, she'll outsell shida AND britt LOL jamie is way more over than all of them right now.

Punk, MJF, and Danielson were the 3 top guys in AEW at one point and if Tony was smart he'd book Dynamite around them the same way Vince did Austin and Rock. Now Punk's gone and Danielson is just MID now.

I think Hikaru Shida is gorgeous, and she isn't bad in the ring. It's a shame because she's actually wasted in AEW and nobody talks about it.
She had a title run with a bunch of really good matches but no real push cause she's isint Britt Baker basically

Britt Baker, on the other hand, was a chosen from day one in AEW's promo game. Yet, she's not as good as Rosa in the ring. She's not any better than Shida.

The trio’s titles are the worst thing on the show even worse than pushing roh. Think about it trio’s titles made to placate the elite and give them titles but other than that you see what that whole division consists of they are completely useless titles and hurt ratings mainly because everyone knows they have no real plans for them.
I agree, I thought they should have replaced the tag titles. AEW would be different, in that their tag titles are a 3 man thing. But to have both is just too much..
Why they are called "trios titles" is laughable. Whatever happened to six man matches like they have been called since the beginning of time?! It's a six man tag dammit!! Idiots.
Trios belts suck. NJPW and ROH originated them and all they did was throw 3 guys together and hot potato them around constantly.

When I say AEW is a mud show I mean it in the best way and what I mean by the NXT Wrestlers been better what I mean is the rustler does the moves better more Criisp More realistic looking their moves are executed better and what I mean by when I say AEW as a most shell but I mean it in the best way AEW does the crazy matches the Deathmatch is exploding Barbwire matches up dog collar matches gimmick matches more so than WWE Does And when WWE does a gimmick match they’re not that good they don’t execute their gimmick matches as well as they execute their normal professional wrestling matches and that’s where AEW shines I mean AEW has had some classic matches such as Hangman Page vs Bryan Danielson Cody Rhodes vs Brodie lee or Jon Moxley vs Chris Jericho Cody Rhodes vs Dustin Rhodes those are just some of the classic matches that I can think of that word as good as any WWE matches my point is they’re doing two different styles of wrestling and when you come right down to it I love all wrestling so they’re both excellent and awesome promotions as far as I’m concerned ☘️🇺🇸🤘⚡️⚡️

Ticket sales are down.

AEW Dynamite garnered 752,000 total viewers, down 23% from last week, with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo. WWE NXT drew 676,000 viewers, down 8% from last week, with a 0.18 rating in the 18-49 demo.
AEW was #8 for the night while NXT was #12. They both had competition from the NBA game between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, which had 2,984,000 viewers and a 1.24 rating, and another game between the Warriors and the Lakers, which had 3,551,000 viewers and a 1.42 rating. There was also an MLB playoff game between the San Diego Padres and the Philadelphia Phillies on FS1 that had 4,099,000 viewers and a 1.0 rating.

NXT maintained a steady viewership throughout the show while AEW Dynamite saw a massive dip from the first quarter to the last quarter. Dynamite lost 400k viewers through the show and ended at 650k having begun from 1.062 million.

I'm not going to lie I didn't have too much of a problem with pockets in the beginning. But as I started watching Jim and seeing this sh*t every week this guy does not need any kind of Title belt. He is a comedy act and is taking away from serious wrestlers. Like JBL said on the other show about someone else he needs to go wrestle with Hornswaggle. And sure enough some idiot tells me pockets gave Wardlow his toughest competition. That's not saying much because they dropped the ball with him too.
i think when he won the belt right before rampage was tapped he cut a promo saying he didnt want any belts b/c he didnt like carrying around all that weight.

Henry Rollins still calls him a "musical genius" to this day, but always points out that a lot of people still haven't been paid by him. Never understood the appeal of Hangman. I truly feel like AEW started going downhill when Hangman beat Kenny for the title.
The problem was omega leaving to heal up which he should have but with omega leaving it left a huge hole in aew that no one could fill and that's why i was so excited after all out because all the major guns like punk danielson omega mjf were back and that lasted for only 20 mins lol

@@reubenelite Long term story is overrated. Sorry, but if something is better, you correct course, not just continue because it was the plan you had. Imagine a football team running the same 20 plays in the same order regardless of the actual situation on the field. Even a TV show might rewrite, and not kill off a character if the character and actor end up being really popular with fans. I know we disagree, but I think Hangman is like an Impact level world champion, not a top promotion level world champion. If it's the story, then they should have given that story to someone else.

We see the real rating powers of AEW when it's moved to another day, has real competition, and can still barely beat NXT by 80k viewers. If it wasn't for the 1 million lead-in from Baseball, AEW would have to NXT. This is including hot shooting 4 championship matches. But then again you continue to put Pockets, JeriBloat, Wheelie, Garica, RIHOOOOO, Moxley, and Hangman on the show. Minus MJF and the Regal prove you can skip the entire show. Yet Tony and the BloatGod continue to claim they can beat RAW & Smackdown.

I stopped caring about AEW when I realized it was just a silly indie show at big arenas. There are indie shows out there that actually look and feel more serious than AEW. They do not know how to capitalize on someone that is hot (many examples). They work using the "flavor of the month" formula and those have run out. BTW, what a waste BD/DB has been. The fact that he is so far away the title picture is hard to belive. Maybe he is content in making good money and do little work. But here we have a guy main eventing WMs and winning titles less than 24 months ago now being a "nobody" on AEW.

I was originally overexcited about the idea and creation of AEW, but now I feel it's a sinking ship. I don't think Tony understands what he's doing. It's very frustrating. He's just producing the show for a super niche audience.
It will still with Rampage being cancelled and devolve from there once network execs realize Dynamite and Rampage are essentially the same thing. My prediction is NXT rebuilds and overtakes or strongly challenges AEW in ratings.
The women's booking is a great wi dow into khans mindset..it exposes his inability to tell coherent stories and common sense booking. He literally ignores the crowds getting behind hayter while continuing to push subpar talent. Most of these girls need a whole lot of work to get better
