    Excellent video & excellent simulator. As a motorbike rider myself, i think that all other vehicular road users should have a go on the simulator & experience what we as motorbike riders have to put up with on a daily basis. Keep up the good work 👍.

    As a motorcyclist, please read the article “sorry mare I didn’t see you” by John Sullivan (former RAF pilot) the article is in a cycling website but applies 100% to motorcycling.

      I mean if you're travelling at double the speed limit, can't really blame them, it's extremely hard to judge speed. I got a gsxr 750, and would like to think I use the power wisely, but if I crash whilst speeding, I'm the only person to blame.

    It’s good to allow drivers to use this to see it from a motorcyclist perspective.
    Drivers should be tested more as motorcyclists are and not allowed high powered cars directly after passing their test.

      Rule goes away after set ages for motorcycles. I'm old enough to do a direct access course and hop on the same bike the geezer was on.

    As a ex motorcyclist who nearly died in a RTC when I lost 40% of my blood at the roadside due to a driver who. Said they Didn't see me. Bright orange bike, dipped beam on, white graphical helmet and high viz in jacket. I was doing the speed limit and the person behind the car that I had the RTC with saw me. It feels great to see that this has been brought out. We just need more drivers to see what it's like to be a biker as they don't realise how a biker is one of the most unseen road users

    Wicked video loved it and what a peace of kit .
    I've been a motorbike rider now for 20 years and in that time I've had a few accidents , but just wished we had that simulator when we were doing are motorbike training.
    And on the subject of wearing the correct Riding Gear I think and my Dad agrees as he used to ride as well , that if you are not Riding with the PROPER PROTECTIVE GEAR YOU'R Insurance should be none vod......
    I NEVER ride anywhere with out ALL OF MY GEAR like that young man it saves stuff from potentially being Riped off ...... Brilliant work guys

  • @RevZolution
    @RevZolution Před měsícem +1

    Great idea for young riders However, watching how George is steering at high speed and lower speed is inaccurate. There appears to be no counter steering which is obviously something that bikes do when they start moving at speeds over about 10mph. Steering right to go right and the bike goes left is a big issue inexperienced bikers have and they start steering in to danger. Looks like from this clip the sim doesn't offer this life saving knowledge and potentially puts people in to a sense of false information

    As a ex motorcyclist and road racer, motorcycles need to be careful on the roads and look out for cars, I was hit by a learner car driver, I took out a post and a sign, resulting in a fractured spine, broken collarbone, ribs,arm,,wrist,hand fingers aswell as bleeding on the brain aswell as damaging the nerves and tendons that control my arm and hand so I’m no paralysed on one side

    • @steve00alt70
      @steve00alt70 Před měsícem

      we need to realize the dangers but and important is we also need to realize the positives about motorcycling aswell.

      Yeah very true, I loved and still love racing and think people should get out on there bikes whilst they can, but for me motorbikes are over as I’ve lost the use of my right arm and hand

    @apox5308 Před měsícem +2

    One of the biggest things motorcyclists can do to easily improve their safety is to pay attention to road signs and adjust their driving. As a car driver you can get away with not looking at road signs but seeing a junction sign and acting can save your life. The other issue is that most of the stuff you learn on your bike test goes out the window 6 months after you pass. You can get away with it in a car but all that stuff as tedious as it seems is there to reduce your risk. Tbf, I don’t care if I look silly doing my shoulder checks every time I exit a roundabout and constantly scan for road signs, etc. final thing is speeding, yes have a bit of fun and accelerate but then bring the speed back down again, don’t do it near junctions.

      I would think that this is open to anyone who wants to try it, whether they are bikers, car, HGV, bus or haven't passed any test. The point isn't to lay blame, but to educate. I ride a bike. I also drive a car and a bus. As far as I'm concerned, every day's a school day where driving / riding is concerned. The day you don't think that is the day something truly horrible could happen.

    I'm going to be real here.... I was driving home one night and had my music loud and just seen this light getting closer in the rear view mirror and can only assume from the traffic lights at the crossroad I'd just come through and next thing I see is a bike sliding down the road infront of me! Turns out it was my mate on his new R1 who recognised my car and tried to show off overtaking me!!!! He wrapped himself around a lampost and lost his leg and his life and because I was the only car on that stretch of ring road I spent 23 hours in police custody and was released on investigation of death by dangerous driving! He obviously didn't mean to crash but you bikers need to realise on your crotch rockets you can hit immense speeds in seconds and leave us innocent drivers the ones on suspicion! God bless you bro, just wish you didnt have an ego to show off!!!!
    In the forensic scene report and police spray paint markings he lost traction on loose gravel in between the white lines, I have to live with this everyday now! Slow down and dont show off!!!!

    Wouldn't it be a good idea to take a leaf out of the National Lottery where incidents occur that involves motorbikes / mopeds. The words IT COULD BE YOU need to be used to explain that bad things can (and will) happen as well as good. There was recently a fatal incident involving a teenager on a motorbike (125cc) in my local area. Within hours of that incident there were other teenagers that had SEEN the incident riding round as if it had never happened (scant regard for their own lives, and less for others, nevermind the rules of the road).
    Don't get me wrong, I wasn't the perfect teenager when I was younger, I did things that I'm not proud of (things that could have ended my life if I wasn't as incredibly lucky as I was). I just wish we could instill in the younger generation (and some of the older generation) the fact that they're not immortal or invincible.
    This also applies to drivers of all other forms of transport. IT'S NOT ALWAYS THE BIKER'S FAULT. Please be aware that motorbikes are smaller and harder to see. Most bikers do all they can to be seen. Do drivers of other vehicles do all they can to see us? Take that extra second or two to really look. You'll be surprised what you normally miss....

    Ultimately its all down to the bikers speeding if they slowed down to some what normal speeds then people will see them and have the reaction time to do something about it in time 🤔💁‍♂️

    Owen saying about families never forgetting "that knock on the door", Someone I know will never forget as they got a telephone call from the police which disgusts me. The family were in bed in the early hours, its not like they needed to know at that instant.

    True it would be good for drivers to do it also. But no one sede anying about thoughs riders who drive like they own the roads. The amount of times ive had to tack evasive manoeuvres its not funny. It got to the point that i see a rider behind me and i will let them plast as soon as possible i know its not all riders but im allways exspexting them to over take on blind bend or file through traffic dangerously. there is a bit of road near me that used to be a 60 and now is a 40 because a bike was doing 120 and died or a friend of a friend went wrong side around a blind bend and died hit a frends car now even though it was not his fault now hes got to live with that. I think there is a problem with bike that for the price they are insanely fast! To see that sorta speed in a car would cost a hell of a lot more so people who think they can ride but cant. Ultimately its not drives fual most of the time. You choose to drive somting with no crash protection and soothing that so small thqt its hard to see. Please look after yourself guys

    But your not adressing the main thing is drivers taking us out... if its a riders fult all that will ever normally happen is the pride/ego or the rider and bike get anything from it. But because someone not paying attention... on the phone ect. There car gets a scratch if that and we end up in hospital... yes teaching riders to ride safer is a great thing. But maybe you should change the rules so everyone has to ride and bike. Even if it is a 50cc. I would happerly bet that people would get scared big time realising how vunurable we are on the road and maybe acctually look out for us... im starting to get back to get on a bike again from my accident, driver was ment to give way and its a very clear junction. There should be no dout about it. But because he doesnt stop or know what there acctually doing. I get tboned at 30mph... his car gets banged up and fixed. My bike gets written off and i end up in hospital with a broken pelvice and a broke foot with alot of muscle and tendon damage. With recovering from it and its been 8 months is and probley gunna have lasting problems... yes i was in full gear and thats why my injuries wasnt worse. Was in a hospital room with too other riders with simula accidents with hours of each other on the same day in different parts of the country. Maybe teach people to dive and not to just pass a test🤷‍♂️ my friend got taken off last week because someone decided last minute to exit the roundabout and wiped him out. His car has no damage. His bike it written off and he has 4 broken ribs...
