IMO this is the saddest death scene in the whole movie.
They were planning their lives together in this house they were building and it was all taken away from them in just a couple short minutes.
I don’t see how either of these replies have anything to do with my comment and I am not planning on using flixzone anytime soon.
Also, the correct phrase is “PRO TIP” not “pro trick”.
2:25 The last few words, followed by 2:30.
I agree I always thought it was sad
This scared me as a kid though
JIIIIMMMM!!!!!
Who were these actors they deserve a shout out for how well this scene is etched into our memory.
Conrad Bachmann as Dr. Jim and the late Bibi Besch as Megan
How to make an incredibly scary scene without gore.
The acting EVEN BEFORE this scene is horrifying is REALLY GOOD. A pair of folks who decided to build their house. During the process their genertor stop functioning correctly.
Which isnt so crazy or anything. Theu check it. THAT'S when the events get weird. But even so, prior the husband and wife just feel SO GENUINE. Like regular humans as opposed to some movie characters who seem cartoonish or over the top
That'd be Bibi Besch, who also played Dr Carol Marcus in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
This scene used to scare me to death when I was a kid.
2:19
Especially when this indicates their fates being written, by delaying the inevitable.
Me too. 😨
This scene always scared me because I didn't know what was happening
Same
Same for me too
I think this is the most horrifying moment in Tremors series. Burying a whole car?
And the last thing you heard was her screaming
0:08 “I’m dead.” If that’s not foreshadowing I don’t know what it is!
Out of all death scenes in the Tremors franchise, this scene Ranks #1!!!
to me the good one was old fred, or walter chang
One of the most remembered scene in tremors (for me IDK for you)
Rec room scene and saw kill from Tremors 4 for me
One of the great things about this scene, especially if it's your first time watching the film, is that the audience doesn't know how many of these things are there. You don't know if it's just one of those smaller creatures or(as Val mentions later) a million of them. Of course it makes more sense now, because one graboid is about as big as Earl's truck. More than enough to bring down a station wagon.
One of the most underrated horror movies ever! 😱
Rule No. 1: no sudden moves, vibrations or loud sounds!
Rule Number Two: Always do Cardio
And number Three: Always try to be on the high ground.
RULE NUMBER 4 almost work with a trex
Rule no 5: never underestimate any power
Rule no 6: be the camera men
Rule No. 7: Never use the same trick twice. The predator can *learn.*
he probably immediately went into the graboid stomach when he completely disappeared and is probably still screaming in pain while inside
In third series burt got eaten but using some trick he still alive 😏
Yes, the oil drum saved him.
All out of the victims killed by only the graboids, Jim suffered the worst for sure
Death is the worst , that is for sure.
All the victims that fell to the graboids experienced death in their own unique way .
Edgar dying because of dehydration is a slow painful death.
Jim's death is just quick and painful.
But i am very confused and conflicted with Fred's death .
I just found out that Fred Ward had passed away a few days ago he was 79.
I DO NOT want to think about what the Graboid was DOING to him 😳
Probably just kept pulling him under the sand into it's mouth until it swallowed him.
“I’m dead” funny that you said that 😂😂
Her death in the car is pretty horrific, she alone, she’s just seen her husband killed and she in ends up trapping herself in her own coffin by mistaking the car for safety.
I would’ve at least try to throw the radio out of the car, run for the trailer to find the spare key and get the Hell out of there quickly like a bat out of Hell.
@@davidedrada6427 One problem: the Graboids earlier blocked the road, there was no escape.
@@revanreborn1219 The least she could’ve done was get out of the car as it was pulled down.
@@davidedrada6427 Probably would have made no difference either, the Graboids are fast. Perhaps, if she got on top of the trailer maybe...
@@revanreborn1219 I can’t help but wonder if this movie predicted Starship Troopers (1997). Think about it. The Grabboids are similar to the arachnids as they were getting smarter and they both wanted to know the humans so they could kill them.
Everytime I watch this movie and he says " I'm dead" I say yep going to be.
Especially when you aren't ready to hear 2:26.
when did he say that
@@The1997Hman just as he sits down
Foreshadowing!
@@The1997Hman 0:08
This movie does such a nice buildup in regard to the monsters.
2:39 is a bit funny,like hello there,how may I help u?
I like how the tentacle reveals itself at 2:39
Iike,, hello, may I place my order to go?"
that scean scred me when I first Sean it. still gets me now. that lady acts a little too well if you ask me. almost like she's hiding something
They always cut this scene out on tv. It’s the best part!
Do they now? They never used to
Always loved thus scene.
Great scene for sure. But a trailer park it wasn't.
Me and siblings use to play tremors at my grandma's place 😂
Kinda makes me wonder if the doctor was still alive exactly one minute after he went under to when the car starts getting pulled down. Even if he is, not for much longer.
The actor that played the doctor Conrad Bachman is still living he’s 88 years old now the actress that played his wife in the movie Bibi Besch had died a long time ago from breast cancer she died back in 1996 at the age of 54.
She would have been 79 if she didn't catch that cancer, but I really like to see the man who played the doctor, hopefully to ask how he's able to pull that off from 2:05 while he was in good health at the time.
She was in the wrath of khan
This scene gave my nightmares when I was younger
Same
I’ll bet Jim Lahey would call Graboids Sh*t worms if they ever popped up in Sunnyvale.
2:35 Jiiiiiiiimmmmm!
The tentacle part of the graboid comes out of the ground and attacks the wife’s face.
Now that is one hungry graboid.
It was the smartest out of the 4 to because it would never come out of the ground like the rest did.
@@retro8696 even though there is no way to prove it, but this graboid that ate the doctor, I bet this is the graboid that Val and Earl encounter a little later on in the movie.
Val nicknamed that graboid “Stumpy”. He had one of his tentacles torn off. This graboid still had all three tentacles.
@@justjilly1966 yes I know
Best line, ' What is that stink?' Lol
Remakers stay away from this movie!
What if they do a shot-for-shot remake?
@@transatlanticnostalgia4655 then that would Ruin the franchise
@@micahbowers2562 There shouldn't be a 2010s Cabin Fever period, especially since the series ain't that good.
@@lyndonluquin4091 True, but you got to admit that the first two films were the best out of the bunch.
Is that a Reba McEntire song on the radio?
It's a cowboy lovin' night by Tanya Tucker
Can it be a trailer park if there's only one trailer?
It's a trailer. It's parked. I say count it.
Can it be a community if they are all in the one family?
You know for years I’ve always wondered how they made the doc sink into the ground. And no I don’t mean graboids I mean like did they make a fake ground or something.
I've been asking that for years!
To add to it, at 2:05 is when. Gotta see the behind the scenes of it.
@@lyndonluquin4091
Went to a Q&A with this actor last night in Louisville and this was asked. He said they had a giant airbag under the dirt that they just gradually deflated.
@academision
You sir. Have won my respect, and a sub.
I like her scream at the end always cracked me up.
Me too. It took every bit of constraint I had to contain my laughter because it was so funny that tears started to form in my eyes. The wife’s facial expressions and the way she said “Jim” was also very funny in my opinion.
Imagine using a graboid for inmates on death row.
Yeah imagine 😨
Or even using a graboid on child abusers and animal abusers like Coach Barker and Norm Snively from Air Bud (1996).
Most movies would have the woman living then the hero’s finding her later shell shocked. Not Tremors!
Equality
Cool
I like your movie
I’d say these two had the saddest deaths to me.
2:00 The horror begins.
2:28
The dialogue in the edited version during the 2000s on the sci-fi channel.
2:14
Another cut Sci-Fi jumped to during the scene.
It's a strange (and instant) transition of comedy to horror but still works. "Remember in yellowstone..." "Oh, come on.." 😄 *Crunch!* 🥴
You're still laughing while you're going into shock. Lol
Funny thing: I was playing Akinator and it guessed graboid and it was right. It also guessed Shrieker and The blaster.
I definitely wouldn't want one of those things as a pet
2:35 when you forget how to preform CPR
I don’t know why, but the wife’s facial expression looked funny to me and the way she said “Jim” was also pretty funny.
2:00 dr.jim death
Funniest scene ever
More like the horrifying scene ever
@@jlays2185Can we all agree that it is both horrifying and funny at the same time?
2:38/2:42
That gulp at 2:34 😳😳😳
2:33
Especially with that "Help me" before the gulp.
It seems like they swallow you alive. He was pretty much alive and screaming right before the big *gulp* sound. I'm sure he suffocated within a minute or so, but still.. brr
It actually sounds like the Graboid chewed on Jim not to mention what sounds like the Grabbers were ripping and tearing at his flesh.
It’s a funny scene
More like a horrifying scene

Although the doctor’s wife would’ve died anyway, couldn’t she at least tried to throw the radio out of the car, run for the trailer to find the spare key and get the Hell out of there quickly like a bat out of Hell?
Please do remember that they had no idea what the hell was attacking them. The wife didn’t know the radio was drawing it right to her.
@@WarmLusamine Which I find very funny in this case when she should’ve done smarter than sit in the car and scream thinking someone will hear her feeble cries for help.
Doc’s wife: “Help! Help! Help!”
Me: “Yell all you want, ma’am. The Nevada desert is a very big rural area. You’re very far from other people.”
Doc’s wife: “Help! Help! Help!”
Me: “HHHHHEEEEELLLLPPPP! Nobody’s gonna hear ya, ma’am. Nobody’s gonna hear anything.”

Dang Nice Worms~
The worm took less time to drag a full-size station wagon underground than it did a dude. Please explain.
The worm first removed all the dirt under the station wagon which would make the station wagon fall inside faster just like the bulldozer trap. For the doctor he had to be slow or he would tear him apart and waste a meal.
