From Tremors (1990): Natives of a small isolated town defend themselves against strange underground creatures which are killing them one by one.
The horse was actually trained to pretend to be grabbed by the tentacles for this scene, the horse was nervous, but the owners made sure it would get through it, and the horses were ok
Still it must have hated having those prop tongues on it.

Very Jaws like atmosphere throughout half the movie. In Jaws we know it’s a shark and everyone knows what a shark looks like, the only surprise was how big the shark actually was when we see it leap out of the water for the first time. In Tremors, we know it’s a creature that is pulling people under the ground, but we have no idea what it looks like besides the few tentacles we see before this scene. Obviously Jaws is the superior movie, but Tremors(in my opinion) is the ultimate monster movie.
Considering both were made by Universal. Home of the classic movie monsters. It's a given.
