- The M4A1 and the Grau 5.56 have risen to the top of the assault rifle meta within Warzone so today I wanted to put them side by side and break down their stats to find out which one is best! Which of these assault rifles do you think is best in Warzone?

He didn't clear the building with it though. He got a kill with his MP5, then swapped to the Grau bc he emptied his MP5.
I actually like the grau better at medium close. I put a no stock and it’s got fast ADS and not much recoil and the only gunfights close that I lose to is the Ram 7 and mp7 which I don’t see that many people use the mp7 as much as people using the M4A1 I use it with the HDR and can pick people off at long ranges and beat people at Medium Close ranges with the Grau.

They should have balance patches to change the meta more often, but probably never will bother. Shotguns have been useless for months. The potential for this game is sky high, but they limit themselves.

the mp7 is better at shooting pixels. If you put the longest barrel on and the muzzle brake (yes the muzzle brake) it has the most benign recoil possible. The reason for the muzzle brake over the comp is that the comp doesn't eliminate side to side "randomness" to the recoil. With the muzzle brake + barrel combo it's a completely consistent line that curves right slightly.

It’s pretty much like comparing the M4 and M13.
One has more damage and range but the other has a higher rof and less recoil.
I prefer the MP5 since I like the faster ttk and I’m using it more like an SMG, where as the MP7 is more versatile since it can be use at longer ranges due to the low recoil.

I’ve read a ton of comments from people claiming that the best AR is this, and the best SMG is that . . And they’re talking about quite a few different guns.
Made me realise something. Infinity Ward did a pretty damn good job at balancing the weapons. There is no clear and obvious OP weapon in either the AR or SMG categories.

There are a ton of vocal supporters of the m13, (just have a look at some of the comment threads for this video) and quite a few people swear by the ram-7 or the 100 round kilo.

i was ride or die for the M4 when i started playing, because it is my favorite gun irl, but after grinding out all the gold AR's and getting to try them out with all the proper attachments, i perform the best with the Grau because of the recoil pattern and the much nicer iron sight, plus i tend to prefer to have medium range fights so the further damage profile is nice
Pretty much all good players use the Grau. I run the biggest good player only discord server and basically everyone uses it.
I love the archangel sights except sometimes I fr cant see the middle one cause it's so thin

BROOK games how is he wrong? M4 is the best gun in the game period. It’s the best gun in multiplayer easily as the grau isn’t actually that good in mp because the time to kill isn’t great it’s a lot better in warzone where range matters more than time to kill. The only reason to use the grau is in warzone but yet even then if you Acc have skill you can run the m4 at long ranges and win or the ram7 and beat the grau. The grau and the kilo and the most casual player friendly guns in the game they take no skill to control.
@@ethanbell5508 thank you. I am tired of people complaining about recoil. Like it is cod there is barely any recoil. It could also be that i come from csgo and siege but still. recoil standards in that game are way different but it is not that hard to control recoil.

I see why u want this but honestly they are too different as they are used for completely different situations. The ram will destroy in ttk, dps and damage ranges but the m4a1 will thrive in the overall usage of the gun, recoil and accuracy

Scar is probably the worst AR
oden/Ak/Scar loses for m4 and Grau in mid to long ranges and loses in TTk with SMGs in close fights.

right now Im running FAL and Bizon with my team full of ODENS and mp5. we raped alot M4s and Graus from far range lol. I think its still viable the akimbo renetti. But i can say now alot MP5 users starting to emerge.
If you use the Burst Renetti without Akimbo perk also works kinda well.

Kilo 141 is severely underrated in Warzone
Mp7 has more range (with long barrel) and less recoil and 60 mag w faster fire rate but less damage per round. Mp5 has no long barrel and a lot of recoil but is controllable up close (bad at midrange) and only 45 clip
I agree kilo is super underrated. I only used the kilo once warzone was released. However I have moved to the grau because of the no recoil with it. And I love it but I miss the kilo.

Fantastic video! Most people focus on TTK and that is FAR from the only important stat to consider. You took a holistic approach and covered many different setups, then clearly presented their strengths and weaknesses.
Love the Grau now. Took me a while to find the right setup, but feels great now. Such a good weapon to mount with as well.
Nice what is your attachment set up if you don’t mind me asking . I’m tying something new I figure I’ll give the Grau a shot . Usually use either mp5 or kilo . I’m a fan of range fire rate and damage .
@TheExclusiveAce would love to see a breakdown on lethal/tactical equipment for WZ/Plunder. We've already seen how powerful C4s and heartbeat sensors are but we don't have a whole lot of info on how effective other equipment is. Anyways, thanks for the great content, you the man Ace❤️

David Cox best m13 I’ve constructed: Longest Barrel, Mono Suppressor, recoil control underbarrel of choice, optic of choice, 60 round magazine. It’s like a laser beam.
TheGamingNerd 4 yeah I think the m13 is better than the m4 in warzone. The fire rate is insane and with the marksman barrel it’s pretty much a laser
@@MrCoaxials nice, I've been running almost the same but with the integral suppressor and stippled grip tape because I love fast ADS speed. In solos I swap out the extended mag for the .300 blackout rounds; I feel like you don't need the extra rounds when you're only engaging one enemy at a time, plus the damage and range boost is nice
M13 used to be my gun of choice but lately the Grau has won me over bc it's slightly better close range imo and the recoil feels more manageable. That being said, even the Grau doesn't laser at far ranges as good as the m13
The ram 7 is an extreme version of the M4 you should try it for a few games if you like the M4

I love to run the grau and I try to run it with an smg so when I'm in a building or cqb situation I can use the smg then anything mid to long range I rock the grau

@@jbitt1617 get the last barrel with commando foregrip and everyone on your sights is long gone. Fastest ttk than the m4. The recoil pattern is manageable if you're willing to learn the pattern, it's not really bad. In fact, I ditched the m4 and m13 for the ram-7 never am I going back lmao.

JD Worx Stats do back it up. The Kilo is the middle brother of the M4 and Grau.
Longer range than the M4 and higher damage than the Grau but movement speed and strafe speed are slower than both.
See same but mine is the score but only on trios that shit is strong
Kilo after 7th shot or so becomes completely laser beam with no recoil whatsoever, if you are missing first couple shots anyway that might be why.

Don't sleep on the M13. It's insane. Slap on the Marksman barrel along with monolithic, big mag, stippled grip and either commando foregrip or your favourite sight and you can down people so fast provided you can handle the recoil. Which is really easy on PC.
Best way to tell someone is a noob is if they recommend attachments. All ARs have a very meta set of attachments, with only a couple being situational depending on your secondary.

@Bray Aberdeen Lol, I went back to League of Legends. It's pretty bad, a lot of people don't think the games infested with cheaters because they don't make it to final circle very often. With a 30% WR, I get there quite often, and it's probably around 30% of the time we die to a blatant aimbot. My last game I played we took cover behind a hill because there was a cheating sniper insta headshotting everyone, only to get flanked by another cheating squad with a 100 round kilo lasering all of us from like 200m away :(

Mack D some sights just provide less clutter. Also, the zoom doesn’t help when you get into cqc and that gun happens to be your only automatic weapon. Also some people would rather have an attachment that helps with recoil than waste it on a sight
@@SilverDragonAcademy You pretty much have to give up a solid optic if you want the Mono. Suppressor/any good foregrip, the longest barrel, ext. mags and speed-increasing mods (typically No Stock, Stippled Grip Tape or 5 mW/Tac Laser) to offset the weight of the barrel, suppressor and mags.

@@moparmadness0180 I would say so but I feel like it's strange recoil makes it more difficult to use, plus it usually feels heavier. It has left and up recoil (not a tonne) but the left recoil is really off putting for me when taking longer ranged shots
for warzone not the ram, gun just isnt reliable enough at long range to compare with the m13 or grau.
Hey Ace! Love the detail in your vids, making it easier to understand what's going on. Btw when are you going to make the shotgun gun guides because I can't see them in your playlist (plz tell me if I'm missing something) and it would be very helpful for me and others who prefer to run Shotguns and an AR or LMG on their class setups so we can dominate close - quarter fights.

I'm finding the compensator a lot more useful than I used to. I wrote it off because of the recoil guides but it turns out it's really really good on weapons that don't have much upward recoil to begin with or guns where the recoil tends to bounce around your aim. Muzzle brake on the Bruen and pkm for instance make them way more consistent sprayers at mid range.

Am I the only one who has difficulty spotting enemies without a sight? I have good eyes. Maybe it's just my screen. But I cant seem to use ARs without sights.
Lighting in this game makes it hard to see, the color palette doesn't help either.
I believe the visual recoil from the iron sights takes a lot of time to get used to. Also, they kind of conceal the target while you are shooting, making it harder to keep the target on sight while spraying.
Its not just you. I feel like it was easier to see people at a distance in older cods
I play in an 8 year old screen and on a 1y old oled TV. Seen couple of brightness videos. Still have a hard time sighting enemies at +50m. Even when I'm watching videos on CZcams I'm like how the hell does he see him. This last part mostly when they are in shadows.
Also tried upping the brightness but all becomes washed out
as much as i initially enjoyed the M4 since switching to the GRAU i havent looked back. i love the recoil, and range, though i do also use a AX50 with it because those long shots tend to give your position away with either gun and a sniper is just a better choice.

@@m4TT5 Pretty sure AUG 556 doesn't beat them anymore since the stealth nerf. Now it takes 1 more shot to kill even if all hits are in the chest and that (If my math checks out) should make it 0,546 sec ttk. That ttk is between mp5 and mp7, both of which also have better movement/ads/recoil per default.

There you go! Good content. Maybe comparing the kilo to the Grau since you said they’re more similar to each other? Also I maybe comparing recoil attachments again? I noticed streamers, like nickmercs and teepee, using a rubberized grip. I’m your old recoil attachments video the rubberized grip didn’t seem to make a difference in recoil. Jgod also recommended the grip in a video. I sometimes I like to kit out my weapon to be as most accurate as possible; stack the commando foregrip to the muzzle break to tighten up that side to side spread, using a compensator muzzle, or even using the recoil reducing NVG optic.

Leroy Lee I don’t think so but could be wrong. It was my understanding that both just slightly help with horizontal recoil. Grenadier just gives slightly more range for a slightly worse ads when compared to the Corvus I think.
I'm using the 10 Rounds Mag on my M4A1, with a S.M.G. or a Shotgun that I usually find around.
Do you have any thoughts on the 10Round Mag?
Personally I use the 60 round mag on my m4a1. It is really useful for clearing a place without having to reload. But of course that is my preference.
If you like a few shots then put the 32 - 9mm ones. In this way the m4 becomes the fastest weapon in the game (faster than mp7).
I know they're different classes, but the Grau 5.56 vs MK9 both with 60 rd magazines would be interesting to me. I have a loadout for each to use for the mid-to-long range engagements when paired with an SMG and I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like better. I know this logistically would be tougher because you would have to build the weapons slightly different to make them more comparable. The builds I use when I'm pairing with an SMG are:
Grau 5.56: archangel barrel, monolithic suppressor, 60 rd mags, commando foregrip, and stippled grip tape*
MK9: monolithic suppressor, 60 rd mags, ranger foregrip, no stock, and either VLK or 4.0x hybrid optic.
* I use no stock if I'm rolling the Grau/HDR combo - but these are builds focused on making the weapons ideal for the mid-to-long range engagements because I can use the SMG for closer range or when I need mobility.
The ability to go iron sights on the grau lets you use an extended barrel and more favorably match-up with the MK9 at range, but the MK9 with 60 rd mags and no stock feels like you're using an AR that can shred at range. The biggest difference I notice using the MK9 are the slightly slower movement and ADS times - but what I can't really tell is if the benefits in damage and ability to use an optic make up for it.
For my personal build, I use Grau for mid to long ranges and Crossbow for ambushing and close quarter engagement.
I would love to see how the m13 stacks up against both of these rifles. Also the difference between mp5 and mp7
Dij, how good even is the m13? i’ve been using it more often and i really like it in a close up fight.
Zephyr Jones, the stats of the M13 are not great for close quarters to be honest. Kilo, Grau, M4, RAM-7 are all better choices in CQB. The M13 can do pretty well for long range (although I prefer Grau or Kilo for that), and then can be supplemented with an MP5 for good TTK up close.

@Zephyr Jones, if i might make a suggestion, use MP7 for CQB and whichever you feel comfortable with for long range: M4, Grau, Kilo, Sniper.
The MP7 will feel similar to your M13, but kill faster up close, take up pistol caliber, and have better handling stats. Then the ARs with better stats will do their work in medium to long range.
Ok here is the stack up. It's worse.
I honestly prefer the RAM to either of these in WZ. Don’t know why more people don’t use it - it has higher max DPS than either of these guns, and if you use the longest barrel it’s still fairly decent at range.

Have you noticed that equipping extended barrels on ARs nerfs the weapons hipfire? Was this a hidden change or like this all along?
Is like this in every cod game, if you put on a sight the ads is slower, if you put a silencer it helps with recoil
DONQUAKER silencer does not help recoil. Never did, actually in BO2 it increases recoil by 2%.
@DONQUAKER Silencer is completely wrong. It reduces muzzle flash but doesn’t help recoil. In BO2 the suppressor actually hurt recoil by 2%.
The Red Dot Sight also doesn’t hurt ADS time in most previous CoDs, same with the Holo Sight.
Shorter barrel means better hip fire in MW, true for every gun. Not a hidden change either.

I’ve never been an M4 user. I was rolling M13 in MP. When WZ came out, I started playing around and got my hands on the Grau. It’s now my go to. I love it so much it’s the first weapon I got Obsidian on. I roll Grau with MP7 for close range.
Personally prefer the Fal and Aug secondary (with 5.56 drum) or sometimes like to run the PKM it's so underated in WZ.
I don't like using the META I always prefer to go with something people don't generally use

Hey Ace, I think it would be interesting to see a hipfire guide. You can get hipfire for some of the SMGs to the point where it is fairly viable to not ADS within like 10m. The way the attachments affects hipfire is not always clearly stated, and I am pretty sure there is a limit on how small you can get your cone of fire for each gun to where attachments won't affect it after that point. I found that muzzle attachments don't seem to have any effect on hipfire for smgs (I only tested some SMGs), but removing the stock does. Both affect recoil control, but only the stock seemed to do anything to hipfire.
I'd love the see a video about Underused weapons in Warzone and ideas about what should be done to improve them
I feel like I see them both the same amount, set up almost identically. It's probably just down to which you're most comfortable with. I'm gonna stick with the PKM though lol
I feel like people over look the Ram 7 often, the recoil pattern is difficult to master. But the dps values are one of the highest behind the fal and Oden but the fire rate is much more forgiving. Solid iron sights on the corrupted blue print. It handles better than every ar aside from the grau. But in most gunfights the ram 7 dps wins.
Ram is a straight up killing machine. There are two big flaws however that make me not use it as much. First, the vertical recoil is kinda insane and you need to run compensator to actually help it (compensator+commando foregrip proven to be best combo for recoil). Second big flaw is no 60 round mag which makes it slightly less viable for trios/squads
Ram 7 is literally an M4 with higher fire rate but idk why tf do people prefer the grau

After using it for probably 80 hours in warzone or so. With monolithic, tac laser, commando foregrip, 50 round mag, and the second longest barrel to keep it 2 frames faster for only 5% loss of range. My only issue the unlikely event that you get rushed by 3 people or at worst 4s in quads is that you down 2 and need to reload before the first. 60 rounds would be nice. But the ram did get 5 more bullets awhile back. Also I believe you get a small movement speed advantage over 60 round mag users.

@theXclusiveAce - Any chance you'll ever do a thorough breakdown of all the killstreaks? I suspect there's all sorts of aspects of them I have no clue about. For instance, I just watched precision airstrike versus cluster bomb and learned about the cone pattern of the cluster bomb. I always assumed it went out in a circular radius.

IMO the Archangel barrel just isn't worth it. +5% to range isn't worth the tradeoff for slower ADS speed. I always run the Nexus barrel and take the faster ads speed. That's just me though I'm not sure what other's opinions are.
ur right, objectively nexxus barrel is better, the only reason i use archangel 100% of the time is because i fucking LOVE the iron sight (subjective)
I agree but I still use the archangel because of the iron sights. If you use no stock the ADS speed is pretty fast still.

You're basing this purely off of ads speed, when you factor in the way clearer sight picture of the archangel barrel it easily comes out on top. You even mentioned you use a red dot sight which is a wasted attachment slot (huge) on a gun that arguably has the best iron sight in the game.

Grau for 3 reasons: less recoil, much more range (most warzone fights do occur at the sweet spot where grau overtakes M4), nice iron sights meaning I don't need an optic unlike with m⁴, also meaning I can have a further recoil reducing attachment over the m4
you don't need an optic for m4 what are you on about. m4 has higher fire rate, more damage, and less ttk. m4 still has almost zero recoil therefore making it the better weapon close and mid range. grau is only better far range

@@nolimit423 You dont NEED an optic for any weapon, however there is a reason to have an optic if the irons are obstructive - most detrimental I find is when the gun's recoil causes the irons to obstruct the view of a target at range. This never happens with a good optic like the GI reflex or VLK, but does happen with the M4, particularly as without attachments which counter recoil at the cost of ADS speed the M4 kicks significantly enough at range that this is always an issue. If using the same barrel attachments (eg grenadier vs tempus, or corvus vs nexus) the M4 and grau actually have the SAME or very very similar ttk, as exclusive ace shows in this very video. The Grau excels in ranged encounters which are extremely common in WZ, and at range the grau is superior in every respect. If you're relying on a single gun for close-long ranges in WZ the grau with balanced attachments for both ADS speed and recoil reduction along with one of the long barrels is the clear winner. My grau setup is mono suppressor, nexus barrel, void grip, commando foregrip, and 60 round mags.
Vince P one could make the argument that having a better ttk at close ranges is more important because it’s harder to avoid close range gunfights (also easier to force closer range gunfights)
@@joaquincasascortes624 it does have a good iron sight. if you're actually good at the game you can control the m4's easy recoil making it almost zero recoil it's not hard.

From browsing youtuber WZ gameplay, I plotted the relative distances that most gunfights typically occur at. Using Drift0r's and JGOD's gameplay, no matter which videos I select, I tend to find the same trends: about 1/4 gunfights occur within 15 meters, another 1/4 between 15-30m (with many ocurring between 25-30m), about 1/6 between 30-40m, and the rest from 40-100+m very spread out. Because of this, I treat 40m as the cutoff point for range benefits in WZ, since it's unlikely a given fight will occur past that point (and if they do, it's usually not easy for either party to hit shots). But, my methods aren't pristine, I'm curious if others have done similar
