Great video! I recently was looking for information on this topic because I was getting a weird vibration when turning my steering wheel to the right when I was going above 70mph. I also started noticing a strange squealing when turning the wheel. I did my research and figured it was probably something steering related. My pump actually still works fine but somehow I had gotten low on Power Steering fluid. I personally have never changed the PS fluid since I bought the car in 2014 so maybe it just got low over the years. I know it's not supposed to leak and is not a consumable item but it was definitely low. I should have flushed the entire system but I just topped the reservoir off with the exact CHF 202 you showed in the video, got rid of mostly any air that may have been in the system and the annoying vibration went away for the most part. I definitely will fully bleed the system as soon as I get the chance.
Again great video! - Something that may be beneficial for your viewers on fix videos like this would be to also describe symptoms of HOW you came to know you needed to change the PS pump. Also, a link to where you got the replacement pump. Stock pumps are like 600 so you probably went aftermarket and anyone who needs to change their pump will want to know where you got yours :)

Autozone sales a universal kit. You’ll want the metric kits or order them at the Hyundaiparts store online

How simular are the steps for removing on a 2010 3.8 model???

Pretty much the same process. Only difference is there’s a coolant pipe in the way that makes it hard to work around

been smacking this bushing for like 20mins and that shit ain't moving. even applied heat

Ok so, put the bolt back into the bushing, just tighten it up 4-5 times, then use a mallet and hit the top part of the bolt.
      It works way better

@@ProdigePerformance finally got it hitting my hammer with another hammer. great video.
still seems a little weird with the new pump though, when going from left to right lock, car on and in the air, still getting some vibrations. normal or should i be worried? Tried to keep turning the wheel back and forth and it won't go away.

@@cyrwu that’s common, if you lock out the steering wheel it will cause the car to shake due to the pressure switch. It’s normal in almost all GCs I’ve worked on.
The only GC that I’ve ever worked on that didn’t have that issue was an electric PS pump set up with a ls swap in it.

🚨IF THIS IT’S YOUR FIRST TIME: Don’t forget this crucial step.
After installing power steering pump and you’re beginning to fill reservoir with power steering fluid.
MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS OFF when you spin the steering wheel left and right for the first 5 times. THEN you turn your car on and repeat.
I was not aware of the outcome but I totally just blew my NEW power steering pump doing this process with the car on first. Now I have to wait 3 weeks to order another one. Great video. But one really important detail that I wish was mentioned with more importance. Make sure the car is OFF when steering left to right after applying fluid to reservoir.

      8:23 time mark,
Sorry you missed that part bud. At least you learned something new. Every car is typically like this.
