- After the fist fight you can get caught by the catchpole. It's pretty easy to get away so most people wouldn't have seen this.

what i did at the start tho...
I did it on my 1st playthrought. I didn't know about the Skalitz raid, so I thought: If he want to find us, he will do it sooner or later, so i waited for him.
That's pretty brave of you if you know what happens when you get thrown in jail.
@@SequentialGamer_KCD I didn't know entirelly about that raid until the forging cutscene. And when the raid happened, I was really confused😂.
My first playtrough and my first steam achievement was to end up in jail in Skalitz but it was because I took that axe from fucker Kanush. Hey! It is my axe. He did not want to pay for it, so I took it back and fucker called the catchpole. 🤣

My 1st playthrough I got caught stealling charcoal and put in Jail and died during the raid from the smoke.
Lol, I've got in the same situation back in the day and I was pretty surprised that I've got away with it. 😁
Yeah, it seems Warhorse wanted to avoid sending us to jail :D
They basically gave you a free pass unless you know you murdered or stole.

I don't think I've ever gotten caught by him but I've played this game so many times through since release and thought this was common knowledge, and I mainly believe that because literally 30-40% of playthroughs I've watched, the person had this happen lmao
Pretty certain that by this point of the Skalitz prologue I’d killed all the guards in the whole village 😂
If you lost the fight, you wake up in jail and got burn alive during the raid
Got jailed within my first few hours of my playthrough (earning a trophy by accident 😁) but when the village started to panic, I was like…WTF’s going on?! Then once I started again, I realized why.
Isn't there some ending that happens if you're in jail when the raid occurs like you just get killed and get a game over ending.
Yeah if do something in the village to make the guards come after you like kill someone or get caught stealing you get sent to jail. A cut scene happens where henry's in the jail while it burns down, you actually get an achievement/trophy for it on xbox and ps4

There is, it's just that WH didn't want you to be thrown in jail for this story action. If you get caught stealing or assaulting outside this event you go to jail and burn bright.

When I played this the first time at launch the catch pole just bashed my head in and there was no dialogue I just died :(. Just discovered this a few months ago in a new playthru
The devs updated a number of things in later patches. I'm guessing this is one of them.
@@SequentialGamer_KCD alot of the things they did was reduce the reward for quests and increase the costs of things like horses and such.

If you steal in skalitz & get caught, youll be taken to prison where skalitz will be sacked, and the prison set on fire. Theres a secret achievement, too.
