Hi, Roxy!
It's a Red Dwarf reference. If you get drunk to oblivion, you will be teleported there (randomly selected location out of maybe 30-40; you also must NOT have the perk that gets you home every time after passing out from alcohol)
It doesn't matter if you're on a mining ship in deep space 3 million years in the future or in medieval Bohemia. When you get drunk as hell, somehow a traffic cone is what you wake up with. That's the rule of the universe!
How do I know? I programmed this system and came up with this location's idea.
Other possible locations for this hangover teleport are, among others:
-- inaccessible attic in Rattay house (with spooky surprise)
-- inaccessible top floor in the tower of the the big lower Rattay church
-- inaccessible rooftop of the battlements of the monastery. When you don't jump down immediately, you can find some special items there.
And it is true that the hardcore mode's sleepwalking gets you there as well, and that's because these two systems share most parts.
The content of the chest was up to the designer I worked with on this. It's a simple reward for the lucky ones.
Also, you can get there just once. This is the only location that is excluded from the pool of possible locations once used. If you jump down without inspecting the chest you just robbed yourself off some good loot... and aren't that lucky after all :-)
I think we nudge you that way by teleporting you there facing away from the chest.

Btw, it's not required to be in hardcore, drinking yourself into oblivion works too: get drunk in sasau, and boom.
Drinking yourself to oblivion enables you to spawn in random locations - this one included. Got it waaay before HC mode :D nice vid as always though Biscuit!!

The caves around silver skalitz, there are many areas where you can't go, maybe have a little looksie?
I remember back when I played out out of the earlier beta versions, where the game world was locked to a small portion of the area there were traffic cones used to mark the map boundary.

Your character can wake-up from drinking, or somnambulant perk can wake you up there in that tree stand. Had both happen.
That's been there since the beginning of launch some people that are on consoles have found away to get it

Umm umm ummmmm.... you can get the Evil Morals book from the Uzhitz scribe, IIRC, and I know I've seen the Tavern Life III book around as well. Not sure about the special dice though.

As Jansmejkal1134 has stated, the fast travel from drinking yourself to oblivion and the sleepwalking negative debuff from hardcore can get you to inaccessible places, I know this cos i've got over 1,000 hours between Ps4 and PC KCD, I abuse getting wasted and also sleepwalking to fast travel in hardcore, sometimes you have to get hammered a few times to end up close to a town and so I've accidently stumbled upon these secrets in 1 or more of my playthroughs as i've always abused my body with alcohol, hence why one of my last achievements is to get blacked out with Ambrose, I'm always to strong of level in drinking skill to get the achievement, i didnt know the achievement existed until i starting looking through the KCD steam achies in global mode so i can reveal the hidden ones, and discovered you can get blasted with ambrose for one of my last achies. I'm actually currently doing a pacifist honest christian playthough right now for merciful and to finally not have to high drinking skill during Johankas dlc quests
There's a small chance to wake up there after "drinking yourself to oblivion".
I used Architect mod to deploy a ladder and reach that same chest I saw it from below. Was however unaware of the traffic cone until I made to the top. So I was like, ok, Warhorse, I cheated on you and here I find you cheated on me too!
Tavern Life III is available to steal from Father Godwin's house. On a shelf under the book stand.
there is also a small chest in Rattay church tower that is inaccessible - however if you get wasted and pass out, you cant wake up in random locations, this one included.
I got blackout drunk in sasau and woke up in that tower. Normal difficulty, first playthrough, first time blackout drunk.
You can also get Tavern Life III from Father Goodwin's kitchen
In the alpha and beta the playable are was closed off by modern fences used at festival, buildings sites and similar.
With traffic cones, and things like festival Toilets.
So that is why the items are in the game in the first place.
There was a Poacher in that location when I lost in the woods in my Hardcore run
How many other weird items do you think are hidden around the game world? Always wondered why some devs leave things like that around.. Likely unintentional but they forgot to remove it or something..

Oh and btw none of those items are spcial, the German mask can be found by some guards, the boiled eggs, well there are egg coops, and you can take the eggs, and u can cook them. And the book is sold by some scribes

im on xbox and i randomly found it and noticed the chest first. then trying to get up there seen the cone. figured out you gotta get drunk to get to the chest.
I found other chest like this in a Small cottage but I dont remember where exactly, I just remember that was in the north, I found it thanks to the dog but I couldn't get it

Maybe you can get that chest and the spawn point if you drink and pass out. The same thing is basically happening in nightmare mode with the sleep perk

I think you can also 'wake up' there if you get drunk to unconsciousness - as you can wake up at random locations after that too - so no need to the hardcore mode perk?
I remember I took the 'True Slav' perk and got teleported here

Right. So, I was just about to come back from Skalitz to Rattay but I so didn't feel like just riding there (Hardcore mode so no fast travel for me). So I decided to drink a lot of booze and then save and load until I get spawned anywhere near Rattay. And that's how I ended up there.
It was not my first time trying a "drunkard's fast travel" so I can tell there is one more spot like this, unaccessable by normal means. It's some kind of attic with a skeleton and heavy handcuffs inside. But without any interesting items.
This is actually a poachers camp, I just discovered it on my own.
You know there is a chest at the camp near merhojed battle camp in a bush on the side of a tent that you cannot unlock well if gives you a option too but you can't because there isn't enough space
What difficulty is it? if it's easy or very easy you can unlock it with the master thief perk

It's a very hard lock and the chest faces the tent.
If you try hard enough you can get in between but you kinda slide right through to the other side.
If you manage to activate the lockpicking in that moment, Henry tries to walk in position but the animation is stuck on the very spot.
Hardboiled eggs in a chest I haven't seen either. You can make them, but never in a chest!
You can get up there, but you have to drink and black out so many times.
Found "Tavern Life III" at the wooden sword priest house in his podium.
In normal mode if you drink into oblivion you can spawn there. I've tried before and got it with eggs
I've woken up in there while blacking out drunk on normal mode :) though it's only happened once I broke my leg getting down luckily I had bandages on me or it would have been game over.
What happens if you eat a boiled egg? Never seen them in the game before.
I'll make sure to wear extra loose socks tomorrow to maximise distance blown off!

Hi biscuit I just found a new exploit When you’re in skillets what are you doing is you go and round up all the sheep and try to hurt them back towards Henry’s home through the gate and then you push in towards Henry’s house Wednesday through the gate and then you proceeded to beat the crap out of them with your fist or anything else but if you decide to hit them with your fist level up stamina vitality strength an arm warfare
If you get drunk you got chance to spawn there! (Been working for drunk lot of days archiment(donno name of that archiment r.n.)) Bad spawn if you got weak bones in hardcore. :)

I've been up there with out mods i was fast traveling and Henry was very tired i had almost made it to Sasau for a night sleep at the inn but i didn't make it i passed out while fast traveling and i woke up in that watch tower with the traffic cone the chest and that's how i got up there i also believe that I was on normal mode i was also on Xbox
I spawned by that trafic cone Randomly of my Sleepwalker Debuff on my Hardcore Playthrough. I guess i was lucky
You just get drunk and pass out that's it,,, you seem to wake up in random places, it's the luck of the dice
Hey Roxy, how about finding what's in the chests above the trader in Skalitz before the attack and all the rest of the chests there that are a level of lockpicking too high to achieve before the story moves on.
Oh they are just basic items:P the only interesting things from skalitz are a golden ring from the rich man with the house above of the guy who disses wenceslaus
Late as, but all chest in skalitz are lootable, you only have 2 lockpicks to get you to a high level with however.
Found a 2nd one, without knowing cones were in the game.
It’s a quest spawn chest. Quests always teleport items from hidden cashes. By taking it, you probably broke the accompanying quest
Nope, Dev already replied. It's a location you can spawn at when you get drunk to the point of passing out or with the sleepwalking trait in hardcore mode.
I got it just now. I drank my self to oblivion in Rattay market square and spawned right where the chest was
There's another way up there without the Architect mod or Dev Tools specifically! Still a mod way but like... not one of... those two...
With Cheat Mod you can just use cheat_phys_hover.
You can also get on top of the tall rock thing opposite the tower and use cheat_phys_push to lunge forward and into the tower.
Pretty sure there's a chance to wake up there after getting too drunk and passing out.
In beta there was a ladder
One thing that is a mystery to me, but probably not to you, is what is behind the master lock door in talmberg. I've never been able to open it and it bugs me to this day. What's inside it?
if that"s on the lookout where divish goes its a short cut to the bedroom where the accountant is but divish likes to look around before going back in that way
